Hi Paul,
Leitner is an online store, so we don't maintain shops or showrooms. We do have a Leitner Ambassador (volunteer customer) in Noosaville, only 25 minutes from the Sunshine Coast.
Stewart Neuss: 0433069664/[email protected]
This customer has two Leitner 26" step-through bikes (the Venice Cruiser)
If you have any questions, please feel free to call us on 1300 856 725.
Thanks!

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I did try emailing Stewart a few weeks back but as he did not reply, I assumed he no longer wished to act as an ambassador. I didn't want to hassle him.

Hi, Thanks for your message. Did you mean a rear rack on your car that holds the bike? Otherwise, the folding bike does not come with any additional accessories nor do we sell additional accessories for our bikes. For more information, please contact us on 1300 856 725. Thank you!

Thank you for your answers but i have checked the website over and over again.
Other sites for push bikes or ebikes do give a weight capacity.

I can't help you with this as I don't own a Libelle.
Can I suggest you contact Leitner on: https://www.leitner.com.au/contacts/
I've found them very nice to deal with & quick to respond.

Leitner
Leitner E.Leitner

Please find the product information at https://www.leitner.com.au/leitner-electric-bike-folding-250w-step-through.html The weight of the bike without battery is approximately 20kg, with 16ah battery approximately 24kg. Pease note that it is unlikely that you will be able to transport the lithium battery on a plane. Ebike batteries have a high capacity and therefore not allowed on most airlines. Carry bags can be purchased at a local bike store and some customers have reported that they found suitable covers for the ebikes at local hardware stores.

But i do know that I am extremely happy with my investment thus far
& have got my partner to buy the same model ...

It is the fold up one -
that I bike to the ferry
put on the ferry
and bike to my car

Also have biked approx... 15km around the island
t& o the beach and back on one charge

The bike has saved me having a car on the island
is good for the environment & keeps me fitter

Would recommend this product any day

By the way - it was sent in just 3 days to Brisbane

Kind regards Stephen

Both Tirol and Libelle are using the same components with only one difference: The shape of the frame.
The Libelle has a low step-through frame which is easy to get on and off.
The Tirol has a straight-bar frame where you have to lift your leg a bit higher to get onto the bike.
The Libelle is recommended for anyone who needs a bike which is easy to get on and off. If you don't have any issues raising your legs you can simply choose the bike which looks best in your opinion!

I made one out of a rubber backed curtin but I believe any bike shop should be able to help you get a proper one with a handle.

You may find carry bags at local bike store. Some customers have reported that they went to hardware stores and found suitable products, e.g. barbeque covers.

Electric Folding Bicycle

I Bought a Berlin yesterday for my son on his 14th birthday. I put it together and he rode it for about an hour before it stopped working. We recharged the battery but when we put the battery back in there is still no ignition lights on the handlebar indicator. The battery shows full power but there is no power assist. Even when you ride the bike the power assist does not kick in. I thought that one of the fuses may be blown so I have changed them but it made no difference.
Needless to say my son is extremely disappointed and we now question the reliability of these bikes. One hour before the first breakdown and then no assistance from the supplier.

Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

I see that your issue has been promptly resolved. I knew that it would be resolved promptly without too much inconvenience. All my dealings with Ephraem have been very professional and all e mails had been responded very quickly. I purchased two Super T bikes with no problems and intend on purchasing a 26” Berlin in the very near future this is the confidence i have in Leitner products (bicycles).

We have just purchased a Venice cruiser . I want to know how to do 25 kmp/h on the throttle with no pedalling ..What do you do and does it affect pedal assist. Does the red button still work?

1 answer
Harry hats
Harry hats

Disconnect the two grey cables with the black connection clips at the junction box at the bottom of the bike . You will need an Allen key to take the cover off. You can still use pedal assist without using the throttle or turn the throttle off with the red button. If you google leitner bikes manual or assembly it will explain it there.

what is the tyre pressure?

1 answer
Leitner
Leitner E.Leitner

Hi Buck,
the tyre pressure recommendation can be found on the tyres. Many standard 20, 24 and 26inch tyres specify between 40 and 65 psi. About 55psi is suitable for most riders.

Just wondering if anyone has used these on beach sand at all and if the tyres can take it and still go forwards? If not have you been able to deflate them so it works. Otherwise have people at least been able to drive them on hard sand or fit fat tyres on the fork and frame if it can be modified to do so? Thinking of getting one of these for one of our camping trips so we can camp out under the stars on a beach somewhere. Would be perfect if we could zoom off on the beach with relative ease :)

I have used the bike on almost all surfaces except sand. Apart from sand, I found loose stone was the hardest to handle if you don't slow down and have a firm grip on the bars. At my age, I would not risk riding on sand.

Leitner
Leitner E.Leitner

You may consider the fat bike https://www.leitner.com.au/electric-fat-bike.html Its 4 inch wide tyres are quite suitable for use on sand. The models with standard 2inch wide tyres are generally not recommended to be used on sand. Having said that some customers have been using them on sand and have reported that they were happy with it, but for safety and maintenance reasons we do not recommend usage on sand for the 2inch wide tyres.

There are a few places on the bike that are made for extra's for example there are forward facing projections on each front fork to attach or screw in something but at the moment they are covered by black caps. The back of the bike has a lot more points to connect to. Not sure if I can send you a picture.

Both my wife and are shorties and the bikes are very comfortable. But my son-in-law is tall, so we put the sit up high (very easy to do) for him and off he went. No problems.

I am extremely happy with the bike I purchased, and I have been using it fairly solidly. As to your question, my thoughts are that, because you have a specific problem, and the bike system is pedal assist which means the pedals do need to be turning to activate the motor, you would be much better contacting Leitmer bikes direct to discuss the alternatives.
I have found the principal of the business extremely helpful and I am sure he can satisfy your enquiries by ringing the posted 1300 phone number.

I'm 6 foot, so doubt a few extras inches would matter. the only issue might be the length of the seat pole. I had to replace mine anyway as I cross threaded the tilt adjustment.
