Leitner Electric Bikes are awesome!
My partner and I purchased two folding bikes in January 2018. (1 x Tirol & 1 x Libelle).
The bikes arrived quickly and were easy to assemble.
They are compact, easy to ride and very affordable.
We have been enjoying many long rides and haven't looked back!
We highly recommend these bikes.

Love this solution for my commute
Ride the 5 Km each way a day to work, charge at my desk, get there faster than with car, no parking costs and save on petrol and wear and tear in the car (as a bonus I lost a few kg along the way and arrive fresh, stretched and not sweaty at all!). The Leitner was chosen after a thorough look at the market and has lived up to my expectations of an affordable reliable solution that could be folded into wife's car when it rains and I need a lift.

Broken after 2 rides
Broken after 2 rides, the quality is not so good ! Doesn't match with the description, and too heavy. The quality is just poor.

Well built bike. Good looking bike. Great service from staff...every inquiry answered (and I had lots of questions. Excellent delivery time. Easy and quick to assemble. Didn’t take long to adjust to working the gears, power assist mode or throttle. A joy to ride. Well worth the 5 star rating every one is giving it.

Great bike!
I tried other brands of folding bikes and found them awkward to ride. The libelle is fantastic.
Excellent quality and easy to assemble
Have since bought a Tirol folding bike for my husband as well
Going to use them for caravan trips
Great customer service and advice on phone!
Well worth the money

Best car replacement
When the transmission in my car died, I took the opportunity to buy the Leitner Tirol to replace my car.
It's the best move I've ever made. I was previously driving 260km per week for work and training. I now happily make this trip on my Leitner Tirol in faster than it takes me to drive in traffic (given they're multiple 10km trips).
This has saved me over $250 a month in petrol, and not to mention it is an absolute pleasure to ride. Hills are not a problem and the throttle makes it very easy to cruise when I feel like it.

ebike has great battery.
I shopped around for an ebike and decided on Leitner because other cheaper ebikes don´t offer warranty on their battery. I bought a step through model for my parents who are 70 years of age but I end up using it mostly. It is great for trips to shops and hospital. I ride it everyday and most impressed with the battery life. I been on 30km rides and it doesn´t show a dint on the battery indicator. My gripe is I can´t remove battery by hand because it is so tight, I need to use a flat head screw driver to wiggle it and loosen it at the bottom bef...Read more
ore I can pull it out. Being able to remove the battery with ease is an important feature for me because it makes the bike lighter to fold and lift into boot of car. My mum is not confident with riding it because she is 152cm tall and concerned about balance. Perhaps Leitner can sell optional adult training wheels for older riders. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and experience with Leitner sales service. Very fast delivery to Sydney.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Bike and Great Service
I have had the bike for nearly 2 months, longest ride was Fremantle to Perth and back, around 45kms it took 1hr 15 minutes each way, the bike handled the hills and bumpy pathways with no problem at all. I have fitted a solar panel and battery to charge the bike when I park if for the day and this is also working really well.

Outstanding Value & Quality
Ride it daily, always enjoy, absolute pleasure. Very comfortable with the dual suspension and generous seat. Excellent battery life, only need to charge every 7 - 10 days. A great purchase, very happy. The gears are easy to use, and the option os none or three power modes is a great choice. Highly recommended.

Quality, Quality
Bought the Tirol as my knee's are no good and can freeze up without warning. The peddle assist is especially great in high gear as I peddle easy the Tirol makes going up hill very easy. Well built and finished. I have just bought the Libelle for my wife. She was happy with her Aldi foldup but is over the moon with her new Libelle.

A sheer delight and companion
I have "test-driven" my Leitner bike now over many months and hundreds of kilometres. It is the small step-thru Libelle in deference to a hip replacement ....easy onto and easy for feet onto ground at stops. It is a delight to ride and a close examination reveals the build quality to be tops. And thanks for excellent Leitner support and back-up (no waiting for expensive parts from over-seas!)............a new spoke was dispatched to me, gratis, five minutes after I ordered it!
Over-all a very happy and money-for-value experience for my first big online experience !!!

Best of Everything from the Best.
After owning the Super T Foldup model, I could not be more happy with the performance and comfort. I've traveled 100's of kms and the bike performs perfectly.
In addition to a great electric bike, the price and most importantly the "Customer Service" is to highly rated being prompt, efficient and very accommodating.

Very Impressive
This is the most comprehensively equipped bike out of the box that I have seen. I don't have to buy anything extra. The small amount of assembly took a very short time & the instructions are concise. Even the tyres were inflated.
It gets a 5 star rating from me.

Exactly what I wanted
My new SuperT eBike arrived 2 days ago, 4 days from Melbourne to Brisbane.
After a couple of hiccups putting it together (caused by me, with faultless and pateint support from Eaphram and his crew) I finally got to ride it yesterday.
I was absolutely amazed by the performance ot the bike unlocked for off road use. I rode 4 km to my daughters place and as a 'elderly Australian' was concerned by the presence of a long uphill gradient on the way. This bike using pedal assist litterally flew up the hill, it was surprisingly easy for someone of my...Read more

What a lovely machine.
This is a beautiful machine. It arrived at the 21st. I assambled it the very afternoon. No trouble at all. Some minor adjustments needed to be done. Unfortunately I could not test it, exept in my garage, as it has been absolutely pouring all day. I will wait for the rain to stop. Maybe tomorrow. Sofar it performed exactly as Mr. Leitner ment it to do. I can highly recommend his ebikes to any one looking for a quality product. Five stars seem not enough for this beauty. W.H.

Fantastic service and product - thoroughly recommend to anyone
Safe, strong, solid - easy to put together and very very easy to ride ...
Live on an Island off Brisbane
Ride the bike to the passenger ferry, put it on the ferry and ride it to my car ...
Despite having very steep hills to negotiate - Have only had to use pedal assist ...
Have put a milk crate on back rack with cable ties
Bike still folds easily up and fits easily into my Toyota Yaris City car ...
Kind regards Stephen

Bought my wife a super T, I assembled it in 40 mins, put my helmet on & took off !!! I was really impressed with the build quality & the performance! Returned from my ride & immediately ordered a super T for myself, it arrived the next day( amazing). Leitner is a trustworthy & Professionaly run company! I put a lot of time and research into these bikes, for the money nothing comes close to these bikes, we ride them everywhere and never raise a sweat, you will not be disappointed !
Two very happy customers, thanks Ephriam & the team!

Great value, easy assembly, good product support, and makes riding easy (mostly!).
I bought a folding Leitner Tirol Electric bike. Why? Because I only live around 14kms (bike-ride) from the city, and after 5:30PM, the bus to my area runs every 30 minutes and is inconsistent with random cancellations.. meaning I can wait up to an hour for a bus sometimes. I thought an electric bike would enable me to ride to and from work with (hopefully) little to no effort, in my work clothes.. and on inclement days, I'd bus it. . . or on days when the weather changed for the worse in the afternoon, leave the bike folded under my desk, and b...Read more
us home (NOTE: It's *just* slightly too tall to fit under my desk, folded, when upright - I'd have to lay it down). The legal restrictons: Aussie law says the motor must be 250W max, and with the motor speed capped at 25km/hour. Why the Leitner: - It had a combination of Pedal Assist, and a throttle that could be unlocked to work from a standing start, and accelerate up-to 25km/h (**that part is only legal for off-road use). - Value - I'd find it very hard to buy, at retail prices, all the components of a Leitner myself, at the price the bike is sold. - The full package - it had everything I needed on it for a daily commute - Front and rear light, rear bike rack, full chain guard & good coverage mud-guards. I bought the extended battery, because I found that online claims on range to be often overstated, or based on parameters that don't apply to me as they are dependant upon the weight of the rider, the terrain/hills, wind resistance, and the level of Pedal Assist used....They only time I'd NOT have pedal assist on max, is if I thought I needed to save power to ensure I got home! :-) I found the cairns-electric-bikes.com.au site to have lots of good information on e-bikes, and closer to reality claims on range for battery types. For example: http://www.cairns-electric-bikes.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Leitner-Pricing-Policy-A5.pdf - they claim the the 16Ah range to be "45km (really)", versus the 80km range on the Leitner site (which has the caveat that this is based on a 70kg rider with medium pedal assist.. lol - why whould I use medium !) So... do I get to work without sweat ?, how much do I need to pedal ?, how MUCH effort goes into the pedalling, and how much range do I get ? The short answer: It depends.Similar opinion? What a great bike
A bought a super T folding ebike bike so that I may take it away on holidays or on a weekend ride. It is beautifully made and easy to assemble of which there is little. It takes a little getting used to balancing the throttle against the mode settings but once you have it is a dream. I live on the top of a hill and it is so nice to get a little help on the way home after a long ride

Just bought the Berlin model. I love this bike! Can't figure out how to get the lights to work though. Manual says turn on King Meter and then hold (+) and (-) buttons at the same time til lights go on. No luck with this, either stationary or on the move. Please help?

That's a great question because I believe that the manual is incorrectly printed. However, now that you feel better about yourself try pushing the middle and bottom button simultaneously. That should turn them on if your battery is charged. Now if that doesn't cure your problem then call Leitner, but I'm betting my solution will work for you.

Hi Bernie,Thanks for your message. Please download the manual from https://leitner.com.au/pages/manual . You need to press and hold the "M" and "+" button for two seconds to turn the lights on. Sorry for the confusion if you have seen this information on the manual in the carton. We will update this shortly. Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions. Feel free to give us a call on 1300 856 725 or send us an email at [email protected] between Mon-Fri 9am-5pm Melbourne time. Thank you!
Thanks for your answers. The middle button IS actually the (+) button on my meter. The bottom button is the (-) button. The top button is the (M). I'll try top and middle as suggested by Leitner. Bet that will work. Thanks again. Bernie
