I have had it for more than 2 years and it is still running perfectly My icecream is always hard just how I like it Pity about the shelf
My fridge looks beautiful in my kitchen and it also fits in the spot perfectly
Plastic shelf above the crisper drawers have both cracked and broke The rest of the fridge still looks like new Why didn't they put a glass shelf like the other shelves

I love this fridge. It looks great and is so big inside, I can always find space to put things and the freezer is really big too. We got rid of our 2nd full size fridge from our bar area as this new LG is so big that when we have parties we don't even need a spare fridge! We can store a full beer carton and wine casks in here along with all our day-to-day groceries. I love the 'supercool' option and that it cools down the fridge fast after you have it open for a while when loading groceries.
Lots of space, looks great, works perfectly
There's so much space I don't need to clean out the old jars of food often enough!

Would anybody from LG Technician or expertise know how to fix this problem?

It seems no body has a clue as to why the Smart Digital LED light on the refrigeration control panel, the temperature light fluctuate and beeping sounds comes on at a regular basis?
Does this mean I need to replace the "Smart Digital Control" if so how much?

Hi Larry, I have the same fridge with the same issue where it would beep constantly, all the while cycling through various temperatures. What I did is I unscrewed the smart controller and plugged it from the fridge and screwed it back in unplugged. I have now lost the ability to use the any of the functionality of the smart controller, including the super cool function as well as control the temperature of my fridge, but it defaults to a temperature of 2 degrees without the smart controller. I think the functions of the smart controller are a bit of a gimmick anyway in that most people would very rarely need to adjust the temperature of their fridge. It has now been running about 2 years or more with consistent cool temperatures and no beeping.

I have had the fridge for over ten years with no trouble but the last year it has been beeping every 10 seconds or so for no reason. The doors are closed and it is a different beep than when the doors are open. I thought it may be to do with the freezer but not sure. The model is GR 642APA. can you help???
