i really love the style of my fridge and freezer side by side.
i love the style of my new fridge and freezer i have allways wanted a side by side fridge and freezer and find that the freezer keep and foods i like at a good tempreture with nice sized pull out draws to keep meats frozen and packaged frozen vegetable withe fridge with pull out draws for fresh produce and dairy its very quite you never here it accept for when door is left open to long it beeps.

Finally i have a refrigerator that not only looks fantastic, but is, its simplicity and energy efficiency rating is what makes it the perfect fridge for me. ents, separate area for dairy is a good size, and so are the fruit/veg and meat departments, with the doors opening smoothly and easily. Just what I needed.
This fridge is perfect, There is plenty of room, you are able to see what you have in there at a glance, it's quiet. I Love the fast freeze option. The temp is clearly displayed on the outside of the fridge and adjusting it is simple.
The face of the fridge does scratch easily so that's something to be mindful of but that is the only negative thing I can say.

Know better, choose better.
Temperature change and easily damaged
First we very excited to have such a nice looking and big fridge/freezer.
But over the next weeks we had to find out that the temperature in the freezer was changing a lot depending on the room temperature.
Then we had to find out that even a little hit/bang caused small dents on the outside of the stainless steel.
So after only 2 month owing it we had 4-5 small dents at different places. So don't ever bump it with your vacuum cleaner or let kids play close to it.

Nice fridge..energy efficient
Unlike Phil who earlier review this fridge and loved the ice maker .
My LG GS-680PL does not have an ice maker .
Gee Phil you sounded just like a sales rep.
I really like this fridge as it has independant controls for freezer and fridge on the freezer door .
Nice and cold and the shelf configuration is ok but could be better.
Quiet and very energy efficient (my power bill fell dramatically after replacing my old fridge)
I did find that my bagged grated cheese got green spots very quickly when kept in the bottom of the fridge.

Life would be much less without such a fridge that brings you all you ask for.
This fridge with its ice maker and temperature control make life so much more enjoyable with ice cold drinks and great salad compartment lunch is always a breeze.Its surface is so easy to wipe down to remove any marks and you would not even know it was there as it is whisper quiet with the occasional tumble of that fresh ice you know summer is here.

Good looking quiet fridge
This is the coldest fridge ever and the freezer is very quick to freeze - Hubby's beers take no time to cool down
It is so quiet, the first week we had it I checked it several times to make sure it was working
Easy to keep clean - the new stainless look with anti fingerprints is awesome!!
I would've preferred a vertical handle than the horizontal one but I'll get used to it

What was LG thinking...
It appears that LG has a pretty good report card as a fridge manufacturer, deduced from my researching online, so decided on the new (2016) LG GS-B680PL.
This LG fridge is much larger than our current Fisher & Paykel, nearly 140 litres more capacity and it uses considerably less electricity than our old one too, it also has a 10year warranty on the linear compressor.
As this fridge seemed to tick all the boxes we decided to go and get it (our old fridge (Fisher and Paykel) is playing up now but has given 20years of trouble free service).

Only 2 weeks old and freezer has suddenly gone to -26 and fridge to 8. This is the second time it has done this, the first time turned power off for an hour or two then back on. But now, a week later, it seems to have gone crazy again. Has anyone had this problem?

Yes read my comments in this review area. I have a complaint active with LG as I already had the first unit replaced and second does the same. My fridge is fine steady at 2.3C but stays at -24 to -32.6C for 16 hrs and normal for periods varying from 12hrs to 72 hrs. Always goes lower after a defrost cycle that happens every 4 hrs. Check actual cycle times I have a wireless thermometer inside the freezer.
The first fridge had the computer and the temperature sensor replaced and no change.
I have asked LG to actually test a fridge over a week and log the temperatures as I feel some units are faulty. Trying to chisel icecream at -32C is not fun.
Worth a call to LG but a tech coming out will not fix it ask to be referred to guy looking into my case ( My name Turner)
This issue only reason I gave unit 2 stars otherwise 5. I get the feeling they are perplexed and really only want to replace it again.
Tony, sounds familiar. I am also using a wireless sensor inside the fridge & freezer. Mostly concerned about the fridge temp going up. After this last episode, I decided to leave it be and see what happens, after about 2 hrs temps started to return to the set temps. I have rung up and a tech can be sent out but if it is behaving normal I am sure he would not find the fault. I would like to think that LG have recognised a problem and are working on a fix. Otherwise, we like the unit.
Mine still a issue LG dragging their tails. Taking dated pics whenever the temperature sucks. Worst -33.6C when set at -18
