Good solid product!
Wanted a good washing machine that was an all rounder! It is not only gentle on the clothes but I am also able to add items of clothing that have been neglected to have been thrown into the wash (predictable of children and husbands). Easy to use and good safety features plus the little musical sound it makes when the wash is finished - lightens the mood to hang out the washing, lol.

Great machine, does everything we could ask from it.
We needed a new washer as our old machine was getting a little small for our growing family and the old one did a good job wetting clothes and spreading lint through the wash.
using the wash settings was straight forward, just read the manual first. Once you choose the wash mode, and load the washing and powder, just press the start button and the machine will work out the water level and other settings or you can modify the settings if you so desire.
Compared to the old machine it's almost whisper quiet. Even in the spin cycle. Just make sure...Read more
that you have levelled the machine when you install it, otherwise you will have problems. The results from the machine when asked to deal with heavily stained clothes are brilliant. It has also been gentle on delicate loads. My wife is loving the washing machine. No lint and spun dry so well that it dries in half the time with no residue as well. The instructions recommend running the tub cleaning cycle every 1 to 3 months, depending on how much you use it, but the machine will remind you if you're unsure or forget. Our favourite setting is the Eco setting, as it is the most economical. A great family washing machine that will see you through anything that may come your way

Disappointed that it has no Lint Filter.
Loved my LG Fuzzy Logic and so we bought the LG updated machine.
It washes, rinses and dries well.
It is a bit deeper than normal so I have to go on tip toes to remove the washing. I can live with that, but the thing that disappointed me most was the lint filter. I have to get my husband to pull out the machine every month to get to it. We are retired pensioners so we are finding it difficult at our age.
Favourite feature is that the machine is quieter than others I've had.

Lint filter. blocks every five to six months
If I had known how badly designed the lint filter was I would never have bought this machine. Their advertising says the lint gets washed out with the water not that it clogs a filter at the bottom of the back of the machine. You. have to pull themachine out from the wall, get down on your hands and knees, undo the filter and clean it out. I was told this has to be done every second month. How the industrial designer of this machine ever passed an exam is a miracle. This machine is no good to me as I'm too small to man handle the machine in and out. I now have to purchase another machine as LG will not take any responibility for their poor design.

Great machine, quiet, intuitive - and cleans as expected
We set up our new LG top loading machine in no time at all. My wife was comfortably using it within a few loads. The machine washes well, operates quietly - and is intuitive in its program setting. Reading some negative reviews, we are delighted to have received a good machine. Our last LG only lasted nine years though - so we'll wait and see.

LG does it again!!!
After having our LG 8.5kg top loader and having a wonderful washing machine for nearly 7 years, the control board blew. At first I was hell bent over it and swore black and blew never again an LG.
After claiming down and getting a technician to look at it and give us the verdict is was going to cost us including call out fee $430.00 to fix.
After i got off the floor, i thought i will have a shop around and see what i can find as is was going to cost more than half a new machine.
After scouting around the Lg 7.5 kg stood out trumps and at $739.0...Read more

Great looker. A little short on performance
Bought new May 2016. The diamond glass top is probably more fascinating than useful. Good solid cabinet, well finished. When setting up it's important to note that there are two foot-level adjusters front lower cabinet. The level instructions by peering into the bowl seem silly. But level you must or else! I used a small magnetic carpenters bubble. (See pic) Ensure you note the unique number on the sticker on back, top of the machine, you'll need for registration.
The operation panel. It's mainly touch sensitive, not button push and works wel...Read more

LG leading from the front
My old LG top loader finally gave up on me and had to go looking for a replacement . Looked around for a few months and have made the right decision. This machine is absolutely fantastic. You can easily make the machine do what you want.
I use the favourite cycle a lot and the quick 30 minute wash when washing my work shirts as they aren't that dirty. Other great features are
+Loads of different wash options
+The lint filters are easy to clean.
+Super Quiet through out whole cycle
+Smooth Closing diamond glass lid
+Lid Unlocks when paused in case you dropped a sock on the way to the laundry
+Water and power efficient

Love This LG Top Loading Washing Machine!
This is our third top-loading washer without the traditional high agitator - 7.5 kg rating - probably equal to 8.5 kg because the agitator doesn't take up all the centre part of the machine.
1. Washes clothes really well.
2. Doesn't tangle like our previous machine.
3. Quiet & rarely gets out of balance or noisy (just move the heavy things around if it ever sounds noisy).
4. Would recommend it for a family of 3-4 adults.
5. Love the Favourites Setting.
6. You can spin your hand-washing on low, high, ultra, or air-dry and ...Read more

Great washing machine
Clothes come out clean on cold wash Cotton setting. The clothes are less stretched and tangled compared with my last washing machine.
There are no lint filters to clean, yet there are no lint left on the clothes. I think lint left on clothes is a result of using less water than required. Read how the auto lint clean works in the tech specs on the LG website. If there is not enough water, then lint will remain on the clothes. The only filter to clean as per the manual is the water inlet filter. This is for filtering debris from water going to ...Read more

Very Happy
Really liking this top loader. I find you do need to turn the water level up on large loads which only makes sense. It's washing the clothes really well and is quite gentle on them too, the loads aren't a tangled mess. Love the fact this machine doesn't lock until it's on the rinse and spin cycles meaning i can still add clothes I've forgotten! Overall very happy and it looks so nice in the laundry too with the glass lid.

Bought the machine in April 2016. Lint! Lint! On everything. Lint filter no don't one. Wash the clothes then go outside with a lint brush before bringing the clothes inside. Where does all the lint come from? Previous loads. As for service in Canberra act. One company only. One other Company want service call fee over the phone when you book. The other is sooooo busy can't service for at least another week. As for the LG Care centre, don't think the staff are in Australia. For future reference don't buy it unless it has a lint filter. LG products are good. Question - why no lint filter in this model?

I have an LG inverter top loader 6.5kg a few years ago. Does this machine have a lint filter. Cant find any evidence . Thank you.

Hi Kristine, yes it does. Should be on the barrel on the inside on the side somewhere. Don’t know how to explain it sorry. But that where mine is. You have to like pop it open.
Hi, mine is a stainless steel inside but theres nothing else on the side. Just the drum.
no lint filter, hence I posted about dirty washing, impossible to get clean sheets, the lint sticks to the sheets and gets in the creasers, the sheets come out dirtier than when you put them in. Of course you can do a drum clean of two, which uses up 3+ hours of electricity, not good for reducing our carbon foot print. I asked about the lint filter at the time or purchase and was told the machine doesn't need it as it washes all the lint away, which is absolutely not true.
