Not the Green Tea I get from Asia

published

If you're after something else instead of water, then this would do. But don't expect to have the right green tea taste and flavour. Definitely far from the green tea flavour that I'm accustomed to.

Purchased in May 2021.

Green Tea

published

The green tea is ok for everyday drinking, but the tea bag is terrible quality. I have to throw every second one away as the string breaks or the bag opens up and the leaves fall out

Its a shame the quality just isn't there

This tea is alright. Just plain green tea. I don't like how the box is so flimsy so i wish it has slightly better packaging

A poor excuse for green tea

published

Label says it is green tea with vanilla (small letters). Ingredients say 65% green tea plus flavouring/essence. Interested to know what the other 35% consists of . Taste is overwhelmingly vanilla. I agree with posters about excessive packaging. Liptons did not allow 'the computer' to complete the on-line request form via the contact. About the worst so-called green tea I have tried in Australia. I donated the balance to local homeless shelter.

Worst tea

I thought Lipton a great tea manufacturer would make a good green tea. But I tasted a sample tea bag. It is worst and hopeless to taste .

No longer what it used to be

published

Is it just me who noticed that its flavour and aroma is not what it used to be? And the tea bags are no longer as tough as it used to be. The string would fall off from the handle and the bags seem to contain fewer leaves. But nothing beats its price because its cheaper than other similar brands but I hope the manufacturer doesn't scrimp on the tea leaves as before it has been my favourite tea brand whether hot or cold.

Not Happy

I have been drinking the Jasmin Tea for years, and now find that the quantity in the boxes has been reduced by TEN tea bags, but the price has not been reduced. TEN bags - REALLY?

Awesome organic green tea

published

I bought this organic green tea (called Longjing) from a new online retailer I found last week. I was really surprised by the speed and quality because their prices were well below those you find at T2 and other tea retailers. When I opened the loose leaf tea, I immediately smelt the fresh loose leaf and it was intoxicating. My first infusion was when I realized that I NEED to be drinking quality tea. I have my green tea hot and straight and this particular one was just perfect, not to dry and savoury and a lovely mouthfeel.

I can't take this packaging much longer !

published

Why oh why the extra packaging/ when i need a cup of tea i want it pronto, now its slow down and unwrap the fancy packaging. What is the point of it. It drives me crazy.
I follow the instructions re unwrap here, peel here, it takes me so much longer. Please please revert to the old packaging, it must be cheaper, because its so much easier.
These comments include all your beautifil tea products., with the unnecessary packaging.

Quality Black Tea - over packaged!!

published

I love Lipton tea, and up until now it's the only tea I drink. My 'small cup of tea can make a big difference'. Really? Can you please explain how your claims of supporting the environment are justified with the excessive and unnecessary packaging now surrounding my small cup of tea? I dont think its the kind of difference I want to support, and I don't think I've ever drank a stale cup of tea either...
Anyone tried Bushells?
I like the tea.
Hate the packaging.

This is the brand of green tea that i always go back to. Other green teas, especially loose leaf i find too bitter and overpowering but this is perfect. I drink several cups during the day and sometimes even squeeze some lemon juice into it. Green tea is a good choice because it has so many health benefits and Lipton produce a good tasting green tea. I highly recommend this tea.
Lipton Green tea has a nice clean taste that is not overly bitter even when you have the bag seeping for a long time. The Lipton brand is available everywhere.
Nothing at all.

Lipton Green Tea is a good value, affordable everyday tea. It is a great, refreshing drink with clean flavours without the bitter after taste. It's flavour may be a little plain for some and it could be improved if it had a little lemon or jasmine added to it. The 100 pack is great value for money and provides a much healthier alternative to have throughout the day compared to soft drinks. If you are looking for an alternative to black tea, Lipton's Green Tea is worth a try.
Refreshing taste. Good for your health. Value for money.
Could use a touch a jasmine to give its flavour more character

This is not a bad tea, mild in flavour, pleasant enough and I would rate it as a one of the better brands, but for myself, I prefer something else to give green tea a bit of oomph-maybe a hint of lemon myrtle or jasmine.
I like green tea, and this one is quite nice. The price is reasonable compared to other brands. Green tea is also supposed to be quite good for you. It can taste a bit weak till you get used to it but in its favour, you need no milk or sugar.
My personal preference is for a little stronger taste and I tend to go for a hint of jasmine in the tea, it seems to improve the flavour.

OK

The flavour of Lipton Green Tea is very mild and a bit dull/lacklustre for my taste.

Even if you leave the tea bag in for a good while it never gets particularly strong.

Personally I prefer jasmine green tea leaves or bags bought at Asian stores - they're cheaper and the taste is far superior (greater earthiness and fragrance).
