Don't buy Australia Post Load&Go card
Don't bother..
The worst card and service ever don't bother buying it you spend more time on phone and making up codes just before you even use it and to top it all off you firstly have to register on the Aust post website then register the card.
I've had a card issued to me which says I must go online and just activate the damn thing now the website says I have to retake all my id to post office with the barcode to have it verified again with the letter but the letter doesn't say that or have any barcodes..... Don't bother..
Australia Post should just concentrate on delivering mail!!

Picked up a Load and Go rechargeable card yesterday, told I would need to first set up an Australia Post account (here we go, more junk emails coming my way I think) to active card and to view my new account. Well, got my Aus Post account up and going, completed the registration of my L and G card and that's as far as I got.
When trying to access the card account I submit the card number but repeatedly get messages" that my card is already registered " and I get no further.
The phone help number with it's typical recorded messages sends me back to the Aus Post website for help and so the loop continues although I was offered the opportunity to hear the balance of my account for which I was charged a fee.
Suggestions please.

Cannot Access the Card Balance
I have had a Load&Go card for many years now. I got this mainly for on-line purchases. I have made a few purchases and so far I haven't any problems. I received a replacement card back in September 2017. Today I wanted to see the balance on my account - but the system did not allow me in. I thought my password was in correct. So I have requested to reset my password. But so far I haven't had an email or any correspondence from Aus Post.. It should be automatic - like other websites. Calling Customer Service can be costly. Excellent but has some cons
I've been using my Auspost Load & Go Reloadable Visa for roughly 1 year now. I think the card is great & I haven't come across a single place that does not accept it as a payment method, either online or in store. It is very simple to set up & use. However, there are 3 things that I do not like about it: 1 - they charge you 9 cents per transaction for profit. 9 cents is a bit high to take for every single transaction. 2 - when you tranfer money from your bank account onto the Load & Go card it takes 3 business days to clear. 3 - some transactio...

Those 3 things are the only faults that I have found & I do still use & love the Load & Go Reloadable Visa. I think most of the time the app is just trying to update? Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences Reviewer95,

Very badly done by, and that is the review of a post master and his wife
I activated my replacement card, (as in the new one issued this year), only to find that on the 2nd of September to have it declined.
When I looked closely at the card, the card shows -- 'valid thru 09/17'. I called the support & help line and informed the operator of the situation, and despite that person saying that it was valid through to 2022, I managed to convince him the card was a misprint, and that the Post Master at Nyah had seen it. I was promised a new one within two weeks, and all I have is a 'case closed'. So I missed being able to attend a friend's mother's funeral, as all my money was tied up in that card at that time. And they've still got my money. Deeply unhappy.

Checking your card balance
Yes, in the past there was a slightly easier way of checking the card balance. Now you have to register with Australia Post before you even start to enter your card details - just something else to remember ! Aus Post now gets your email and the ability to send you more unwanted stuff.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Henry. If you're finding emails are arriving when you'd rather they didn't, you can unsubscribe via the link in the email itself. Hope that helps!
Roxy
Accessing your card now only requires your Auspost login details to be entered before going to the card management screen.

Useless as two teats on a Bull
Hopeless, even the hackers, con merchants, and thieves prefer this kind of credit card as security is not as tight as a "regular bank credit card". Do your research first to find out if it is suitable for you. I thought it may be a good thing, how wrong i was. So slow using your bank account to transfer funds and Auspost is not open on weekends for an instant load of credit. Load&Go card fraud ignored
I found three transactions on my card statement that were clearly fraudulent - I was in different city at the time but the transactions required a POS signature. I only used this card for on-line transactions so nobody could have skimmed it. So somebody can create fake cards.

Unprofessional system
I've been using this card for about 2 years now, but after the recent "upgrade" auspost had, I cannot access my fund online. I tried to use the card recently but it was rejected despite the fact that I loaded the card with sufficient money through "pay anyone" method on internet banking. Now since I can't check the card's balance because of the recent change, I won't know what happened to my money. I will not recommend this card to anyone, although it used to be good.
Hi JBP,

Took out the money but forgot to give it to merchant... where's my money!!!
Today I made a purchase for over $800US. The money came straight out of my account but was declined at the merchants end, so did not go thru to them. Apparently when I rang (on the phone for over 1 hr) they would not clear the funds in 2 weeks. So we "lost $800+ US and of course the merchant wasn't going to let us leave with the goods as the money didn't go through to them. Their customer service is crap, they lie they do not get back to you and they couldn't tell me where my money had gone. So I am overseas and missing $800 +US.... this is not small change for me Not ideal!!! Would never recommend this card!!!
