HOPELESS - I WANT MY MONEY BACK
The card won't work on the same POS machine as it did the day before. It also won't work on a whole host of machines or for on-line purchases. Now it's been blocked and I still have $50 on it. The online management is also hopeless. Can't find anything on unblock card. Never had so many issues with any credit card.

Absolute scam
This card is a complete waste of time. I asked specifically whether this card can be used for overseas just like a visa, and was told yes. And that may be true, but not for the websites I'm trying to make a purchase on. I've tried multiple similar websites that are based overseas and they all decline the card. That said, the merchant actually accepts visa prepaids, but the error messages they're getting are that this card is at high risk of fraud and so its rejected. Some other websites are getting the message that this card has to be activated...Read more
for international use, though both Auspost & Loadngo have said this is not the case. I now have money that I cant access or use for what I want. MY money. And I'm being refused a refund. This has left me with no choice but to get my bank to process a charge back and lodging a complaint with the ombudsman. Complete scam.

Hi Nick,
It's disappointing that the merchants haven't been able to accept the card. You definitely can use it for international purchases, I personally have used my own one to buy from overseas with no issues.... Read more
You cannot use the card with some merchants, such as for online gambling, and this is outlined in our Terms and Conditions which are available here: http://auspo.st/2je5HtH However, any merchant can use their own prerogative and choose not to accept the card - Australia Post isn't liable in these instances for any consequential loss that might arise and we can't control who does or does not accept a particular payment method. If the card isn't the right one for you, you can withdraw the funds here in Australia at any ATM that accepts Visa, you just need to make sure you have a PIN set up. If you haven't set up a PIN yet, you can do so by following the steps here: http://auspo.st/2vVWHj7 RoxySimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love It
Don't really understand what all the negative comments are about. I love this cash card. Use it all the time for consumables like petrol, dining out, takeaways, alcohol supplies, groceries, pharmacy, Paypal for internet items and Itunes for purchases and some subs. It's ideal for this ( there's no transaction here that's connected to my bank account in case predators and fraudsters are lurking). It's limit load up is $900.00 so I'd obviously use a different credit/ debit card if I was contemplating making a big purchase like buying some electro...Read more
nics/computing etc. Bank ATMs and electronic services go down regularly (think CBA and NAB) and the 'Load and Go' is a great backup Visa card to have in your wallet if this happens. If its part of your plastic you are no longer stranded by bank outages. It's easy to load up at a post office (my preferred method, where you get a receipt) and its easy to register it there. Never had a problem checking my balance online through OZ post website.

Misinformation about it's ability to work overseas. LOAD AND GO DOESN'T WORK IN OVERSEAS ATMs
I wanted to use this card for taking cash out in Cuba. Travel cards with multiple currencies can be an issue in Cuba so I wanted an Australian card with Australian currency to take cash out at ATMs.
I went into Australia Post to confirm that this card would suit my purpose. I then bought the card and then called customer service to confirm that this card would work in ATMs overseas. They confirmed.
However this card doesn't work in ATMs here. I am now stuck in Cuba without use of this card, limited access to internet and phone reception.

The Australia Post Load and Go Travel absolutely card can be used to withdraw funds from overseas ATMs. I believe the issue here actually stems from the specific ATM providers in Cuba not accepting prepaid cards, which is something regrettably we don't have control over. We also don't have a list of all known providers that may or may not accept prepaid cards across the world, but this is good feedback for us and something we could potentially work on in the future, so I'll make sure this feedback is passed onto the product managers for their reference. RoxyJust to clarify, there are two types of Load and and Go cards currently available through Australia post:

1 - Australia Post Load and Go Travel: this can be used in overseas ATMs, however looking at some forums because it has multiple currencies it will not work in Cuba. That is why I didn't take this card, and was very clear to customer service representatives to make sure I told them I had the DEBIT not the TRAVEL card. 2 - Australia Post Load and Go Debit card: This is the card I took to Cuba because it had good reviews and had previously worked in Cuban ATMs in the past. Some time since 2017 this card apparently no longer works in overseas ATMs but can be used for overseas EFTPOS transactions. This information (that it no longer works in overseas ATMs) is apparently in the fine print but not stated elsewhere clearly on the website or on the card packaging. That, and Australia post staff and your customer service representatives told me that it would work overseas when it wouldn't. The distinction between the debit card and the travel card is clearly not clear enough, and it is odd that an australian debit card cannot be used for ATM withdrawls overseas, like all other debit cards. This limitation needs to be communicated better.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Extremely Unreliable Product
I have deposited all my cash Into this Load n Go card. After several uses, it became unusable.
I called the service Centre and they weren’t able to resolve the issue and asked that I call back after 48hrs later for a solution. This is just disgraceful.
I was stuck in the long queue with embarrassment where all the people behind waited for me to offload all my goods. What would happen if you need to settle an account in an overseas hotel prior departing a country??
For those who are thinking of using this should think again. STAY AWAY FROM “LOAD N GO”

Among the fees for the first number of times, you pay roughly $0.10 per transaction per month!
After using the card for multiple purchases, including topping up the balance, it came to my attention that there is (somehow) $5 to $10 gone missing within a period of 2-3 weeks, from my last top-up.

Fantastic plastic for smallish purchases
I use this card a lot for both online and offline shopping. Its great for purchasing consumables and dining out on a regular basis, making some hotel reservations and buying stuff online. You can also take cash out of up to $250.00 a week here in OZ (not OS). You can load a max. of $3,000 on it every 30 days, but its really best for smaller ongoing purchases where you want to control your budget. It also lessens the fear that any of these smaller transactions are linked to a bank account if there are payment security breaches with your supplier...Read more
s and purchases. I even used mine overseas a few times at airports and for purchasing electronic tickets for transport systems. As long as the place takes Visa, I haven't had trouble using it anywhere for a transaction of up to a few hundred dollars or so. I find it very easy to load up at the local post office. There was a switch over for log in access to the online accounts a while ago which was probably confusing to many. At one point it was a separate log in with a username and password and then it changed suddenly to having to use an Australia Post Log In (which might have to be signed up to, and with a different password etc). Shame this wasn't made clearer to people as even staff at the post office didn't really know what was going on. Otherwise I find this prepaid service (with very small transaction fees ) very useful. What I would say from reading all these reviews is that its probably not a good card to depend on for travelling overseas as banks would be a lot faster with errors or fraudulent transactions on a bank issued debit card for travel purposes. Also it sounds like it's not up to speed for hassle free online transfers to top it up. If you use the physical post office like we do its fine. I would only ever see it as useful for smallish local or for online transactions. Its easy to top up if you can visit the PO in person and its easy to just check balances online. I've never used it with a phone or tablet app. but sounds like its not really ready for the digital age here either.1 comment

Add card button doesn't work
My last Load and Go prepaid card worked perfectly and i loved it, currently my new card can still purchase and i can still deposit money but i can't add my card to my AUSPOST account because after i put in my correct card details, the add card button doesn't do anything and is just a dead button to me. I tried the app on my phone and it says that the card is already linked to another AUSPOST account but i'm guessing that just means it's already linked to my account. But even if it was linked to my account i still can't access the card because it can't be added, thanks for your concern.

The Card Works
We have used the Load n Go card around the world and lucky for us whilst we were in Japan, our normal visa cards were not accepted by the Japanese ATM's. This can be a common issue in Japan. However, the Load n Go got us the money from a local 7 11 store ATM.
We have recently used it on an American Cruise Ship and it worked fine as well as two international purchases.
My customer service experience with the Load n Go Team was great when I forgot my password. Even though I could remember the 6 digit password, they brought me through a quite a series of additional security questions and I was able to establish my identity. Problem solved.
My experience has been excellent over the last three years with this card and support team.

Is this type of card actually getting discontinued? because I used it for online shopping very often, and this is a perfect way for me not to overspend what I don't have.
If it's discontinued, what's the replacement for it? and will it be the same?
3 answers
Hi Colin ...u do get some discount but the sad part is the postage is sky rocket...depending on the item...unfortunately I’m not sure of the replacement..sorry...
When your old one expires, you need to buy the replacement Australia Post prepaid card. Make sure you've used up all your money or taken it off the old Visa card before the expiry date as you can't transfer it to your new card. The P.O. Load and Go replacement card is with Mastercard instead of Visa and is more secure. You use the replacement card in exactly the same way online and in the shops. I use it with Pay Pal for maximum security. It is great!
Thank you so much Catherine. I'm 82 years, your explanation has helped me immensely.
Best Wishes & again my thanks
