Unbeatable value, very powerful
Firstly, these are budget priced speakers, so true 'audiophiles' need not bother.
I bought these speakers solely because I wanted a bit more volume than my tinny LCD TV speakers provide. I am running a laptop via HDMI to my tv (for Netflix and movies etc), so am using the headphone jack for sound - acknowledging that laptop sound cards will never compete with a decent PC card. Be wary that many TV's don't have RCA out so you will not be able to control the volume via your TV remote.
Unfortunately, I have had to edit this review to state...Read more
that I have tried using these speakers with an Iphone 6S and a Samsung Galaxy S5 and it doesn't appear they can drive these speakers as the sound output was very low volume. However, if like me, you are running them off a laptop and want to use them this way to play music, they do a great job. The sound quality isn't the best as far as clarity but these are budget speakers, so you cannot expect a jaw dropping experience. However where this setup does excel is in volume, they are extremely loud! In fact, if you are like me and live in a unit, these speakers have more potential volume (especially bass) than you are realistically going to need - unless you are a really BAD neighbour! I give a five star rating for the simple fact that for the $133.00 I paid for them, it's impossible not to see these speakers as being incredible value. It amazes me just how much power you can get for such a small amount of money these days! Though as previously mentioned, don't expect crystal clear sound with perfect clarity.1 comment

Excellent product, amazing sound
Purchased these recently from JB's so the review is about their sound quality rather than their longevity etc. Firstly set up is very simple, I did not even bother to look at the instructions. The Bass driver is of a reasonable size 300mm W x 240 D x 280 H approx and does produce a good quality sound, it has a front grille and a side port also. The two satellite speakers (L&R only as it's a 2.1) produce good highs but mid range is a bit lacking. The right speaker has two control knobs, one for the volume and one to control the bass plus there ...Read more
is a power switch next to them. Given the price I paid at JB's for around $120 I don't know how anyone can rate these less than 5 stars. I connected these to my PC in less than 5 minutes and it has never sounded so good ! I usually have to fire up my bigger home theatre unit to listen to music but now I doubt I will unless it's for something special, excellent work Logitech given the price and quality. I had a lower end Logitech 2.1 for a few years which this replaced and it never failed (still sounded ok) which is why I had no hesitation purchasing another set with a bit more punch. Do your homework too on the prices though as they vary considerably, JB's were not the cheapest but did price match Office works, some were also cheaper as web purchases if your game enough re warranty issues. I will have no hesitation recommending this product to anyone who asks.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very very happy
I was just looking for something to improve my tv sound and be easy to plug in and use JUST use the TV REMOTE control for the volume (too many remotes)
Well .... I got half way there .... the remote for the sound works when running through the HD recorder/dvd thingy .... And I haven't given up on getting setting it up as a very simple to use tv sound improver using just the tv remote .(there are other sockets and cables behind my tv that I can try that might do the trick).... I just got side tracked...

I think it could handle most house hold lge room requirements or out by the bbq ...... maybe if I went and tried more expensive systems I might have a different opinion.... But I doubt it ...Its brilliant value and quality that fills the room ... I just wanted to write this review to say Thank You to Logitech .... Job Really Well Done !Similar opinion? Good but not great
I think these speakers are great value at $100 which is the price you can often find them discounted to. Probably wouldn't pay $150 for them though. Overall good performers, can definitely get loud. Clarity of lyrics is good but instruments can get a bit muddled up. Plenty of bass, not the clearest lows but good for $100.
Loud, pretty good low and high end for the money, good for movies and most music
Some music tracks aren't reproduced as well as other tracks, lacks some midrange frequencies.

Bang for buck speakers
Turn it up and it's loud and clear. I crank them up when i'm home alone and not using headphones, and i can see the woofer vibrate anything near them. The bass does not need to be turned to full for some decent bass. Great speaker size which doesn't use too much desk space. Would buy a second pair for my bedroom tv if i didn't use a soundbar.
Value for money

Great sound
I've been planning on getting these speakers since I heard them at a friend's house. For the price they have excellent sound. Better than the 5.1 out of cheaper Logitechs. The sound still sounds like it's coming from the centre even without a centre speaker.
Speaker leads are only 2m so position carefully. Woofer is probably going to be on the ground.
Sound clarity, simple setup, less cluttee
Cable length 2m

Best PC speakers I have heard
I bought the z623's because my five year old Logitech's had given up the go and I was wanting to get a much better set than I had been using, and I certainly picked a good set. The speakers are heavy and solid, offering a deep sound that resonates really well. The materials are very nice and the cables are all good quality. The sound is incredible! 200w is ample, and even at half capacity they make my desk shake. Whether it's music, gaming or movies you do on your PC, they are definitely a good investment.
Big sound, quality feel, well priced
Just remember it's a big set of speakers

Amazing sound
Before buying this gem ask yourself: How important is a remote control? I made the mistake of thinking the Logitech Z623 would work with my television remote control but it doesn't - well not easily; I have to go into settings and tamper with the volume from there. It takes a little effort for me but other people in the house are unable to navigate their way through the tv's settings, which means they have to act like a person from the '50s and get up off the sofa whenever I want to adjust the volume.
Controling volume levels aside, the Z62...Read more
3 is an amazing THX sounding speaker! The subwoofer is fantastic, as are the two little speakers. The entire package pumps out 200watts and is better than the Sony surround-sound all-in-one system I'm replacing it with in terms of size (the Logitech requires less space) and sound (I never liked the sound from the Sony system, which cost upwards of $1000). I bought the Logitech Z623 from Office Works for $135, which isn't bad for quality sound that's portable. Portability is another reason I bought the Z623. It's easy enough, with the little speakers and simple wiring, to pick up and move to a different area of the house. Although, the subwoofer is quite large and some people may find it heavy to carry to other rooms around the house. Quality sound comes at a price, I guess. Although I would have really loved a remote control, I decided to keep the Logitech Z623 for it's portability and fantastic sound. THX, Subwoofer, Bass, Cost, Portability No remote, Unable to tweek the sound like you would be able to do with a quality receiver.4 comments

Great sound at ~$129
This 2.1 system has plenty of kick in the bass department, and sounds noticeably brighter than cheaper Logitechs I have listened to. It has huge power so you can really get it loud from devices such as Smartphones and MP3 players. The separate bass dial on the front is handy so in the late night you can turn it down to avoid bass echoing through the house. I use these both for gaming and music from my computer and I am very happy overall.
Power and bass dial on front, no separate wired remote or anything, Great amounts of bass without losing high end
Not sure if it's just my unit, but when it has been off for a while it crackles when I adjust the volume at low levels. It quickly goes away if give the volume a bit of a wiggle up and down.

Happy paying $130, but no more...
I read a few reviews for these before running out and grabbing them, and the main thing I noticed was most cited their quality when in came to movies/TV but they lacked a little in the music department, particularly when it came to the sub sounding a bit 'flabby'.
After running them for a couple of weeks, I have to agree, to an extent... I'll preface this with saying I've been extremely happy with them, most of the music I listen to isn't overly bass driven so the not-so-crisp bass hasn't affected my music listening. However the speakers mi...Read more
d-range really picks out bits of music that simply aren't that pronounced with other speakers/headphones. This is not as much a complaint as simply a comment. Some guitar solos just come screaming through with the vocals leaving the remainder of the song somewhere behind them. I'm just saying it's odd, not necessarily bad. Frankly for the $120-130 price, you can pick these up for when they're on sale, I think they're very good but I'd likely balk at the RRP of $160 and opt for spending more on the Corsair SP-2500 or dropping back to the Z523. I can only assume people who complain about the flabby bass listen to what I'll politely refer to as 'modern pop music'. Movie performance is simply incredible Music can sound a little odd due to the strong mid-range and weak high-range sound.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very nice for the price!
Had these pc speakers for a few weeks now and i must say i am very happy with them! I got then online for $160 delivered and for the price i was very surprised! I wouldnt pay any more tho. The sub is very good but the speakers can tap out with poor quality mp3, cant blame the system for that i suppose, Connecting is simple and every day use is as good as it gets. Nice to look at as well. sounds good with music and movies!
BASS! its awesome punches above its weight!

Sound great.
These speakers are compact (well, the satellites are anyway), and sound great. The top-end is a little recessed and they can be a bit shrill when pushed, but overall they perform really well. Best features are the bass - there's heaps of it and it's reasonably deep. And they go REALLY loud! The only disappointment is the headphone output - it's not loud enough.
Plenty of bass. Heaps of volume.
Sub is pretty big for a "desktop" system.

Great sound for 2.1
This is a great sounding setup for 2.1
I wasn't expecting too much, considering all I wanted was something for my computer to listen to (mostly) music and the occasional game.
Highs are very good.
Lacking a bit in the midrange, but since there are no mid-range cones on this setup, you can forgive that.
Lots of bass, I find that I have to adjust the bass down for almost everything.
Lots of volume to play with.

Just purchased these speakers. The volume control only lowers sound can not totally turn volume down is this normal?
1 answer
That's not normal. If I turn the volume "larger" knob down all the way there is no sound what so ever. The smaller knob only controls the subwoofer so it will not turn down the overall volume, only the volume of the subwoofer. Hope this helps

I have Kawai ES 100 digital piano with 2 x 6 watt inbuilt speakers and 2 x 3.5 mm headphone sockets. The inbuilt speakers are not powerful enough for a large room. My question is, would the Z623 system be suitable for playing in a small hall say 15 to 20 people?.
Would appreciate your help,
Many thanks BarrieV
1 answer
I would think they would be suitable if you are only playing to an audience of 15 to 20 people (I was a professional musician for many years). Though I am not sure they would have the dynamic range you would be after with a digital piano. However, for a small performance on a budget, you should be fine.

Note - don't put your sub on your desk! It is supposed to go on the floor (another reviewer commented it takes up room on desk).
