Used pressure cooking function once without problem last night, now today it won't build any pressure or heat up. Any ideas? Saute etc still works...
Make sure the pressure knob is closed and the little metal valve is down when you put the lid on. Then start it up. The display will indicate that pressure it building up (flashing dashes going round ...
Read moreand round). Once pressure had built up the little valve will pop up and timer will start. It can take quite a while for the pressure to reach it's optimum so be patient. Otherwise make sure valve isn't stuck and the silicon rim is fitted correctly.I am using the pressure cooker for the first time, and turned the pressure valve to the left,as directed on the lid.I have noticed a lot of steam escaping. Is that normal?
Yes otherwise it can explode. Ensure you turn off the cooker, the pressure is completely evacuated before removing the lid.
It cooked the meat perfectly, but I thought while it was cooking,no steam at all was supposed to be coming out?
It kinda had a slow small, steady stream, whilst cooking..
My multi cooker will not go past 30 minutes in the rice function. What am I doing wrong please?
Hello Pat,
Your rice cooking function may have been set to the previous time control setting.
When you plug the power cord into the machine and you hear the beep, press the warm/cancel button first t...
Can you buy a cook book for Masterpro 12-1 Cooker
There's generic cookbooks like women's weekly slow and multicooker cookbook. The internet has great recipes too. Nothing came with my ultimate.
Master Pro does not have a specific multi-cooker cookbook, what I use is the Women’s Weekly Pressure and Slow Cooker cookbook; Sometimes I download recipes from the web or use recipes from Instant Pot
Hi there,
I have set everything for slow cooker options and timer counting down but there wasnt the process of display will show movement while it heats up? Have I done something wrong????
Hi Chrissa,
I have turned on and off several times but still no display movement to indicate warming up. However the timer is still counting down and it seems to be doing something as the appliance is warm to touch... does this mean it is cooking??
I tried using slow cook function today. Filled the pot, selected slow cook, timer came up. Next time k looked at it the screen was blank. Nothings was happening.. tried to press a few buttons nothing. Not even warming up so I turned it off and on at the power point. When it came back on e3 flashed up then all the lights turned on. Still can't get it yo do anything. All the lights remain on even when I turn it off and on again. What have I done? Is it just a faulty unit? Have used it twice only with no issues. Help!
The E3 error code means that your unit has overheated. This is common and happens when the pressure cooker does not haev enough liquid in the pot, or when there is early steam release from the pot whi...
Read morele the unit is trying to pressure cook. If there is early steam release, identify where it is coming from right away.I had literally just turned it on. It was full of liquid and wasn't using the pressure cooking setting just the slow cooking. It didn't even warm up :(
Hi there,
That means heat is not being transmitted into the pot.
The manual states that Error “E03” means Food burned or stuck on the bottom of the pot and heat cannot transmit, the advice is to sof...
Has anyone worked out how you adjust time and temperature in Slow Cook function? Mine keeps defaulting to 6 hours.
Good afternoon George,
The temperature function, far as I have used it, is mainly used for sous vide.
It can also be used for sauteing / searing but not for deep frying....
Hi George. The default temperature on the multicooker for slow cooking is low - 70-95c. You can adjust the cook time by pressing the red temp/time button then the plus or minus buttons. The temperatu...
Read morere can’t be adjusted in slow cook mode. If you are using a recipe that calls for high temperature, you can just double the cook time. Otherwise, if you want a faster cook time, use the pressure mode insteadHow do I turn off if I want to change cooking programme. At the moment it shows P- minutes I feel the instructions in the booklet aren't clear enough..
How far up does the floating air valve rise and is it supposed to be silent when in pressure mode or sound like a slow release of air?
I find that the air valve should rise more than it does, so I use a long wooden spoon to hold it up higher and the steam releases much quicker
Hi Edwin. The pressure valve doesn’t rise very much for me but have had no issues with the pressure cooking function. It does mak3 a small amount of noise while it comes to pressure but almost silent ...
Read moreafter than. It does release a small amount of steam so the unit doesn’t explode but not very much ( a lot less than the slow cook mode) until the pressure valve is releasedHow do I set the timer beyond the default 6 hours?
Adjusted time needs to be within the time range for the function selected (check table on instruction sheet). To adjust time, say for slow cook, select slow cook, press time/temp button, then press +/- for longer/shorter cook time.
I have the 8L multicooker. It’s brand new only used a dozen times. It keeps coming up with the lid buzzer therefore not letting me pressure cook anything. I have taken the lid on and off 100 times and it fully shuts yet still says the error.
Am I missing something here or is it faulty?
