Why is my BT50 recording conversations and replaying them 2or more years later?
1 answer
Never heard of this one. That poses privacy issues as they could listen to those when vehicle is in for service potentially. I'd be talking to someone about this maybe Fair Trading or Consumer Affairs.

We serviced the bt50 and put a new oil and fuel filter in, started the car and then turned it off after about 30 seconds, now the car won’t start, any ideas
1 answer
No clue whatsovever other than I do know the procedure for an oil change is not as straight forward as most cars. If done incorrectly you can blow the engine.

I have a 2WD Mazda BT50 Ute. When I go to indicate the indicators stay off. If I leave the indicator in the central position, the right indicator light stays on. As well as this, I have no left indicator light working at all. When I put the left indicator on, no indicator light goes on (right or left)

Outside temperature gauge in dash is continuing to rise about 5 to 7 degrees above actual temperature.
Also idle speed is increasing at the same time.

I have a Mazda bt50 my16. There is a loud ticking noise coming from inside the dash when the aircon is on. Doesnt matter if its on heating or cooling its still there. Does anyone know if this has been a fault with this model?? Is it an easy fix?

I believe its the actuator that controls basically the *open/close* door and gears are stripped . Had the same issue. Was replaced in a day
Thanks Matt
2015 BT50 dual cab
Same problem. Left hand side vents flutuated in temperature. chilled then unchilled. Drivers side was fine.
Mazda service at Southport diagnosed tenuator problems.
1st 'fix' - disconnect battery for half hour. This resets 'setting'
2nd 'fix' - disconnect battery for more than half an hour.
Mazda replaced LHS tenuator at ~80000km. This also stopped the clicking/ticking noises from the the dash after vehicle shut down.
At 140000km the dash noises are back after engine shutdown
The left hand side does NOT chill. The RHS has started blowing chilled/unchilled and AC is struggling in the CQ heat
Noone to service it out here. It will have to wait til Christmas and back in Brisbane
Didn't have this with 2016 Ranger

Took the BT50 2016 in for a service, AC was working fine but after the service it only seems to work about half cooling capacity. Dealer said they didn't touch the AC. Any ideas why an AC would suddenly work at half pace??? The passenger side seems to run cooler than the drivers side. Tried all combinations of climate control, MAX AC etc doesnt blow air colder than about 20 C

take to Aircon specialist. Mazda service centres are not specialist. and I have found that they might not even have know they did anything ?
If they've disconnected or reset something, the front temperature sensor might be reading incorrectly. What does the temperature on the dash say? If it says something completely different to the outside temperature (like -39 Deg C) or not working at all, drive it for a while (about an hour) and you should notice the sensor will start heating up, the temp on the dash should start increasing (as it should) and the aircon should start working. If the temp sensors reading -40 (incorrectly), the aircon decides you don't need to cool when it's -40!
Thanks for that. Yes Im hoping that they accidentally reset something. I have an outside temp but no internal. I have to set it on max cool to get a bit of half decent AC. Do you know if an OBD tool can check on AC settings
