WISH ALL COMPANIES WERE THIS EFFICIENT
We purchased the Minimalist Hand Shower on Stilo Wall Bracket and had problems with the disc on the front of the bracket falling off. Emailed Methven about the issue, with photos of the bracket and disc along with proof of purchase. Hadn't heard back from them after two working days so phoned. They said they would send the whole bracket out, rather than the disc just in case the bracket was the issue. Received the bracket by courier the following morning. Wish all companies had this sort of follow up service.
Waiting more than 1 week to get a replacement part
I purchased special ordered Methven mixer tap and paid over $300 about a year ago from Bunning somewhere in Perth. The tap seems to have a leak and I called a local plummer to have a look at it. The plummer advised that the cartridge is faulty and require replacement. Bunning advised me to contact Methven after they have lodge the issue if I have not heard from them in 2 days. I then called Methven after 2 days waiting for them to call me to follow up the issue. It seems that the part has to be delivered from Melbourne and will take 3 to 5 da

This will take another few days for them to schedule the work. I wish this process is much simpler than this. At this stage, the bathroom tiles require re-seal and due to the leaking, this cannot be done until the mixer tap is fixed.Awesome after sales service
We used Methven shower heads when we renovated the bathrooms back in 2005 and recently the armoured shower cable started leaking. Like the other reviewer (NOOB) we contacted Methven and within a week they sent us a replacement head and cable. Just recently my mother-in-law had a Methven shower head go faulty and they shipped a new one out to her...arrived today...in both cases we had replacements within the week...simply marvellous after sales service...so rare these days. TOP JOB Methven :o)
No problem when claiming under warranty
We bought 3 Methven SatinJet rail showers and several mixers when we renovated our bathrooms in May 2012. One of the showers started leaking and a part of the shower head kept getting detached and falling off. I sent Methven an email on Saturday 1st July' 17, with pictures and a video of the problem shower head. I couldn't find the bill so sent them a compliance certificate filed by my plumber after completion of works. The certificate mentioned the nature of work completed and the various brands of tap-ware used (though does not specifically

I was therefore pleasantly surprised to receive an email today confirming that they would be sending a replacement shower head by mail. So thank you Methven. I hope you also honour the claims made by people under your lifetime warranty even if there is no receipt. A lifetime warranty should not require a receipt - makes no sense for you to demand one especially since you simply lose goodwill. Don't lose the brand goodwill you have built just to save a few $$$. You have a good product, stand by it and by your customers. PS: Thankfully I did find all the bills . I have since photographed, emailed them to myself and retained safely for future reference!

Great shower head. Just don't drop on tiled floor.
Methven shower head is lovely to use. Unfortunately my daughter dropped it on the tiled shower floor. Couldn't get it back together again. Took it to Harvey Norman (who had purchase on file) and they repaired it.
Same thing happened last week. Looks like another trip to HN. My observation is that the product is on a very long hose (metal) that easily reaches floor. The other is that the product is very difficult to put back together.
I can recommend the shower, but am disappointed that the metal hose is so long. In a slippery situation the hose and head is easily dropped.
Plastic parts that break and cannot be replaced
Have had 2 Flexispray shower heads. Both had the plastic screw-on coupling that holds on the shower head crack and leak water everywhere. Guess what? You have to replace the entire unit because they don't and won't have spare parts for these dodgy plastic pieces on their shower heads.
Avoid paying $30 from Bunnings for these useless shower heads and go and purchase something that has metal components that can be replaced if broken or worn.
Methven very unhelpful overall.
Excellent shower heads backed by warranty that is honoured
Bought a Futura Shower head and worked wonderfully, but did start to leak. I decided enough was enough and went to claim a replacement through warranty.
I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency of the warranty claim. I was sure to provide all information about my claim for warranty, including receipts and a video of the damage to the shower head. I was delighted when I received a response promptly to inform that the warranty claim had been processed and new shower head arrived a few days later. For me Methven have stood by their warranty claim. Well done!
DO NOT BUY METHVEN PRODUCTS - THEY ARE SHONKY
We bought a top of the range rail shower with a lifetime guarantee. It only lasted 6 years and methven refuse to come through on the warranty as we don't have the original receipt. The manager even hung up on us. The products are obviously shonky judging by every other review here as none seem to be lasting anywhere near a lifetime!
Great warranty through Reece plumbing for Methven
I wanted to replace a 10 year old Methven satin jet shower head bought from Reece Rozelle but couldn't find proof of purchase. I contacted Reece Rozelle who searched their records for me and contacted Methven fior a replacement. Received my free replacement promptly. Other negative reviews seem to point to the retailer not helping to provide proof of purchase, but I couldn't be happier with the response I received from both Reece and Methven.

Would not warrant a faulty 18mth old shower set
Faulty shower set bought for about $200.00 from Bunnings 18 month ago to replace a $40 dollar unit that worked for 8 years.,.
I didn't keep the proof of purchase otherwise i would have to keep a spare room in the house.
Claimed that they have a 20 or 25 year warranty, but because i cant produce proof of purchase they wont warrant their product.
Sounds like i'm not the only one either.
Their support center just kept pointing back to the conditions in their warranty saying they need proof of purchase, i guess they know well enough that mo
... Read morest people either buy an existing house with their junk or wont hold onto a thermal receipt after a few years so they can make crap, charge a high amount and then walk away when things go wrong. Never will i buy from them again! Buy at your own risk, i'm sure they would void their warranty obligations some other way even if you did have the proof of purchase.Shonky sounding warranty
Methven claim they give a 20 year warranty on their tapware, but when I tried to claim warranty on a 4 year old shower diverter valve that leaks, they told me I need the proof of purchase details to claim. Problem is I bought the house from a builder developer, and there's probably no builder on this planet who would hand over the purchase receipts of products fitted in a new house. Shame on you Methven! Your warranty offerings are dodgy to say the least! My advice is to stay well away from Methven and it's related company products, unless you purchase them directly, and even then, beware, because from my experience so far, they are cheap junk anyway.
A delight to get back to after vacations!
When we built our house ten years ago we were looking for all the bathroom fittings, and the Methven SatinJet shower heads were on a working display in a hardware showroom.
Just seeing how they "expand" the available water without turning it into a dribble sold them to us.
The SatinJet "technology" (rather a faux word for something so simple, although obviously the result of careful design) really does work. I have reduced the pressure on my house system so as not to "blow" the dishwasher etc yet the shower gives the feeling of one with f

Recently the one we use every day became very difficult to switch between the wide and narrow sprays: Methven immediately sent a replacement head courtesy of their 20 year warranty. (I was lucky in that we found the invoice, without which it was a no-go. I suspect that most people would not keep the paperwork that long!)Find out how Methven compares to other Bathroom Shops

Leaking out all the joints
Installed a methven 11 months ago and about 4 months ago it started leaking out a little bit to the point now where the bathroom get more water out of the shower than in. Must admit that my wife and i do adjust the shower height, but would expect that of an adjustable shower head... Took it straight back to bunnings and got a refund now in the market for a decent one?
Do not deliver on Warranty
I have Methven shower heads that have started to disintegrate after 5 years. I went back to Methven as they supposedly have a lifetime warranty and was asked for proof of purchase. I did say I have 2 x shower heads from Methven, is that not proof, and was told they will not replace without a bank statement or receipt. They did say I could go and buy new ones though, wow thanks for that tip!!
Never again Methven.
Satinjet shower heads
I used to work for a bathroom company for 7 yrs that worked exclusively with a few Methven products, the showers are excellent, the product warranty is exceptional, i have 3x shower heads in my bathrooms and after 10yrs i am just starting to have trouble with 1x head ( the head has started to fall apart, not from lack of use, believe me.) I will be ringing Methven to claim a new shower head and dont expect to have any problems with the claim,i will continue to use these showers until i find an equally better product.
Methven Kiri Satinjet rail shower
Overall good to very good, though the shower experience with the Satinjet is not as good as I expected having read some very positive reports about it.
For me the flow isn't strong enough but it is still an effective shower and a pleasant spread of water.
The connection to the rail is easy to operate and allows for secure height adjustment of the shower head position without slipping.
I also like the smooth hose that connects to the shower rose.
Lifetime Warranty is worth it
I installed a Methven Kiri Exposure Rail Shower and Methven Amio Shower and Hi-rise Basin Mixers in my bathroom. The Mixers work well and look great.
The Methven Kiri Exposure shower is ok, perhaps not as good as I was expecting. The Satinjet is nice. I have gas on demand hot water and the low flow nature of the shower means there is not enough pressure to consistently keep the gas on to supply hot water. This so far has meant disappointing showers having to play around to find the right temperature.
I am all for saving water and so on, but they should have had more R & D testing during development to ensure compatibility with all hot water systems. There aren't that many different types of hot water systems.
Life time guarantee
I installed 2 Satinjet shower assemblies when building my new house. The showers are fantastic, but the service is better. I had a common issue with both of the showers, and when I rang Methven, they promptly offered to send replacement handsets, no questions asked. They didn't quibble, quiz me, or even suggest the problem may have been been caused by outside forces . The heads arrived promptly and were the right ones first time; and easy to install. A great company that deserves acknowledgment for honouring their guarantee with alacrity and good grace. Such a rare thing these days.
