They are good tyres
They are good, I have it for a year and still going good, previous one was Bridgestone, definitely better than that. Got it from Costco with $70 off. Grip is good and seems they will last long unlike Bridgestone ones which only lasted 2 years
Con: Too much noise, even after 1 year it make lot of noise.

Good tyre
One of the best. Truly are a great tyre when safety is top priority. These tyres are reasonably long wearing on the right car with the right maintenance. Wet weather grip and performance, I think is unbeatable. Unfortunately they don't make the right size for the rims on my new car. But I recommend these for sure. Only downside to me was a reduction in fuel economy. My son even said, "Maybe they grip too good reducing fuel Economy". We heard they were great in the wet. We tested them. They lived up to it. Thanks Michelin.

Great Tyre
Durable, quite and great in the wet. I can't say that I have noticed any better than average fuel economy but I have found cornering much better and stopping in the wet a lot better than any other tyre i have owned before. The price wasn't unreasonable. #135/tyre from JAX Toowoomba.

Good Tyre for Use on a Toyota Hybrid
The tyres are quite at highway speeds. Is a bit of squeal on tight high speed turns but otherwise acceptable. Wet weather grip is good and they work extremely well when hitting puddles at speed. Braking performance is good and the tyres seem to work well on rough roads and gravel as well. No sidewall damage detected after 15,000 km of driving.

Great Tyre. Perfect in every way for the daily driver
Purchased my car second hand with Chinese tyres fitted; HiFly on front, Warrior on back. Grip was not good, especially from the HiFlys as they got older. Reversing front to back didn't help much and car was becoming unsafe in the wet. Ditched all four tyres prematurely before they put me in one.
Bought these black beauties from Jax Tyres Geelong. Competitive price (waited for the $50 gift card offer to come back) and couldn't be happier with the service received.
Car is now a joy to drive, secure grip in wet conditions and much quiete...Read more
r and smoother than before. Best of all, these Michelins are very long lasting. Just clocked up 10,000 km and cannot see any wear. Admittedly, I drive fairly sedately and don't thrash around corners. Always been a Michelin fan, but drifted from the fold over the last ten years or so. These tyres have brought me back for good. Thank you Bibendum, a truly great product.Similar opinion? Very Impressed Love Michelin!
I bought these tyres brand new from Jax Tyres they were on special and I have had great experiences ride, comfort and braking distance from my Honda CBR250r (different Michelin model tyre). Anyways I don't have much to say only positive:
-Wore low on our old car 6mm brand new 4.5mm when I sold the Subaru Liberty (1.5 years later)
-Stopped alot of skidding in the wet (Non ABS car)
-Handled perfectly and cornered perfectly
-Lowered the road noise although the car was old I could tell the tyres were making the road noise better/quieter

Highly recommended
Had these tyres on 2012 Ford Focus 205/55/16R. Best tyres with long duration; 65000 kms. Great handling in wet conditions, and various terrains; gravel, dirt, sloped. Never had a problem with going off road or sliding. Quiet cabin riding and smooth on the road.
Always kept PSI at manufacturer recommendations. Only had to change tyres due to tread pattern wearing. Reasonably priced if you ask around and for price matching.

Michelin are the best tyres but beware
Michelin are the best tyres but beware online people and shop when they are way cheaper than normal you are buying parallel tyres not for our Australian market you will never get warranty on them so buyer beware sometimes the tyres are 3-4 years old which is dangerous so I say again buyer beware

love them
Just replaced them after 130000 kms ( the rear tyres still had 20-30,000) left in them.
Obviously bought 4 more as costco had a special if you replace 4. I had a tyre puncture in the front tyre which made me replace the whole lot. I will obviously buy them again in a few years.

good value for money
I needed a new set of tyres for my Holden Astra and these have the quality and price I was looking for. The performance of it good, handling, steering all smooth. The price was amazing. It only cost $450 including fitting. I compared it with Jax and an online shop called Tyroola, the last one gave me the best price and answered all my questions. I will keep checking the tread wear, but I have read good reviews about the tyre so I hope they will last a couple of years. I'm not sure if I'm not sure which tyres I can get for my second car, a Toyota Corolla, but I'm quite happy with the overall experience, with my new tyres and Tyroola. So will probably buy there again.

Review collected in partnership with Michelin
Nothing too special. Just for the daily driver.
Pretty much still in 500 km with them on. Came from a Nitto Neogen, and I can tell that these XM2s can get a lot of road noise above around 100 km/h compared to my previous rubbers. Not that grippy as well, I was hearing tire screech @ just 2000 rpm launch from standstill, compared to my Nitto Neogens before, the screeching only starts at 2500rpm-ish. I expect my cornering ability will be a bit of a downgrade as well.
Still, looks very sturdy and I expect my tire life will last longer than the Neogens. For a daily driver, it has pretty much all what you need.

Michelin on everything with wheels!
I've had Xm2 tyres on my Fairmont wagon for 3 years and travelled around 40 thousand highway kilometers, the car is going to be sold but the tyres have so much life left in them I took them to TTF and I paid $120 to have them swapped to my tandem trailer rims, my 2007 xt wagon now has the same tyres (different profile) and my G220 fairlane will be the next in line. The road noise is considerably lower, braking in the wet is done with complete confidence, and very little drift when cornering a little harder than I should. I don't care for fuel savings as how can I ever really calculate it, they really are that good.

Excellent Tyre
I replaced the Kumho Solus tyres on my 2002 Volvo with the Michelin tyres. I noticed a difference in the 'rolling on' of the car straight away. Two weeks after I had them put on I drove to Sydney and back from Wagga. The trip is on the Hume Highway - a mixture of seal and concrete. Could not believe how quiet they were and how much more comfortable the ride was. Unless something goes horribly wrong I will but them again

A+ all round.
Purchased originally for an alternative vehicle which didn't get used so switched them over to the family hack. Cannot complement theses tyres enough, the road noise is very quiet, the ride is noticeably smoother than some cheaper Bridgestones that were on the vehicle, have not calculated if the km per litre figures are better than others, so no objective evidence one way or the other, but subjectively feel they are better. Road holding, sure footed when pushed and in the wet. Minimal wear since purchased, on the daily driver, racking upwards ...Read more
of 40k since they went on. Would look to purchase again, feel they are worth the extra dollars. Have purchased some higher performance Bridgestone for another vehicle, think the Michelin XM2 tyres are better in all aspects for a car that spends the vast majority of its life on public roads. I did get a nitrogen fill for theses tyres as well.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Had these fitted to a Holden Astra TS for 7 years
Original Michelins Energy XSE's were superseded by XM1 & XM2's and I found the XSE's and the XM2's so good I never bought anything else.
Out of all the cars I've owned, and that's quite a few, I have never stuck to one tyre like this tyre for a single car.
Make sure you always rotate your tyres though to get maximum life from a set of 4, especially with FWD cars like the Astra.

Amazing longlivity
Fitted the tyres on Holden Astra TS in 2012 at 75k. I sold the Car with 145k and there was plenty of rubber left. You do the math - Unbelievably great tyre. Everything improved from handeling to economy. They only thing I would fault is the noise on the road. I did plenty of highway driving on he weekends and the little trips to the shops and airpot in Melbourne. I highly recommend the tyre, I believe this is really great value for money. Shop around. Michelin did a great job in my opinion.

Best performance road tyre in the price bracket
I've never used Michelin tyres before as they've normally been too expensive. A recent $70 off for a full set of the 195/60R15 swayed me to try them. I drive a turbocharged 626 that kicks out plenty of torque from the front wheels so many tyres can't handle the load without breaking traction, necessitating the use of semi slick tyres. Well blow me away. These tyres grip better than anything else I've ever used in a non racing tyre, corner aggressively, handle frost/sleet on the road without issue and as a nice bonus are more fuel efficient. All for $470 fitted for all corners.
The only negative (and I'm being picky here) is road noise is slightly higher than some other road tyres. Minor issue though. I can't speak highly enough of them.

Cant believe the difference.
Had a set of XM2 fitted to my mitsubishi lancer and immediately felt the difference. Road holding and cornering great. Markedly reduced road noise. Great in the wet - no back slide even better in the dry. Will see how they wear ovet time and check fuel consumption but so far very happy with tyres. Reasonably priced.

Excellent tyres. About to put some on the wife's car too.
I've had Michelin XM2's on my VZ Commodore for around 15,000km and nearly a year. My driving is a combination of city, highway, and spirited driving. The grip is great! It rivals the Bridgestone Potenza's that came as OEM fitment on the two VE SV6 comany cars I had a few years ago, despite the VZ's suspension being somewhat old, and nowehere near as good as the VE's, and the XM2's being 40mm less in width! The XM2's are better than the Bridgestone Turanza's that came on the VE Calais company car I had after the SV6's. The XM2's replaced a set o...Read more
f Bridgestone Supercats that were 20mm wider (largest size recommended for the wheels on my VZ), and even still, the XM2's beat them hands down in every way! For wear, the Potenza's didn't come close to the XM2's! I'm not 100% sure about how they compare for noise, because the VE's were all quieter cars than the VZ, so it's hard to compare for anything other than hard cornering squeal: pulling hard around corners, the XM2's squeal enough to let me know that I'm pushing them, but they still have plenty of grip! In the same type of situation, the Potenza's didn't make any noise, but they would also start sliding without warning. I would rather have a slight squeal telling me to back off a bit (ie: the noise is actually a positive in this respect - another win for the XM2's). In the wet the XM2's are great! Certainly better than the Potenza's. Just recently, I got a very very slight slide in the front in the wet (most tyres would slide a lot more in the conditions), but it was very easily controllable, and the feedback was brilliant! The only tyres I've had that have better grip than these are the ones on my motorcycle, but that's a whole different game altogether! With all of that said, I'm going to buy a set for my wife's car because I want her to have a set of tyres that I can trust with her life and our daughter's life!Similar opinion? Is this tyre is directional?
2 answers
No, they aren't. Which means they're easily rotated.
They are Directional tyres, their construction have a tread designed to rotate in only one direction and can't be mounted in any other way. They are also called "unidirectional" tyres. Directional tyres will have an arrow with the word "rotation" on the sidewall (which these have) showing the proper rotation direction. The function of directional tyres is that they have lateral grooves in the tread that form a V-shaped tread pattern. The tread design is intended to channel water from the center of the tyre outward as the tyre rotates. That is about what directional tyres are and they can be rotated!
