A huge Difference
I recently required new tyres on my Skoda Octavia wagon
I did a lot of research and I spoke to many people before I decided on The Primacy 3 ST
I had them fitted 5000 kms ago
Never owned a more silent tyre, the car, (even though I love it) was more of a pleasure to drive. An absolute delight on the road and I have been a bit naughty and pushed above the limits. Simply incredible tyres
I am predominantly on country roads, and some Victorian roads are very ordinary and I have been driving for over 40 years
I know it's only early but the ...Read more
joy so far has been amazing and they were only $28 each less than what came with the car I am not associated with any tyre company, I make furniture for a living but I do appreciate it when my clients recommend my work, hence my desire to praise these tyres

Excellent tyres
Fitted to Skoda Superb mk2 by JAX Tyres replaced 1/2 worn Continental Contactsport 2's
$720 with a wheel alignment at each end and a $50 fuel card,
Much reduced tyre noise
Smoother ride
Similar excellent grip levels
Better feedback from tyres
In wet weather I don't push it - they feel as good as GY Armourgrips which Choice and I found brilliant in the wet
Excellent grip, braking and handlng, feed back, seemed to cut tyre noise by 1/3-1/2, noticeably smoother ride
the spare will seem wooden it needsto be used.

Super quiet. Absolute comfort.
After much research, put a set of 235x45x17s on the already quiet and smooth riding Lexus GS450h - but wow!!! - the ride has gone to a new level. These Michelins are in a class of their own - whisper quiet, just so comfortable and with excellent handling in the wet. Really exceeds expectations. Have had Yokohama CDrives and Toyo Teo Plus in the past, with the latter also being extremely quiet (great for the $160 or so price tag). But their ride does not cut it with these super silent Michelin STs. It's early days to judge fuel savings, but the fuel consumption computer does seem to be showing slightly lower numbers at this stage. Certainly more than worth the few dollars extra over the Toyo Teos.
Super smooth ride and super silent.

Best So Far
I have bought Michelin Primacy 3 ST size 205/55 R 16 for my C200 Kompresseor W204 previous tyres Bridgestone Er300, i am impressed with these tyres so far as i have done only 1000 Km on them as they are new to market i will update later if any changes. When new there was little noise from rubber but after 2-300 km of running they become super quite. Handling really good biggest difference i have seen is my fuel consumption dropped from 9.6 L/100 km to 8.2L Waoo...Braking is little better but not much difference may be new rubber. Its Comfy as well as bumps absorption is good. Bought it from JAx tyres $620 for set of 4.
Comfy, Good braking, Good milage, energy efficient
Bit pricey

Terrific tyres - Very good initial impression
I bought four of the Michelin Primacy 3ST to replace the worn Bridgestone S001. The size is 225/45 R17. So far, I am quite impressed. The tyres are much, much quieter than the previous Bridgestone S001 and Re040, and seems to give a very comfortable ride too. It is also sure-footed around corners in the dry and brakes confidently. I have not had to chance to try it in the wet. Please appreciate that I only just had these for less than 1000km, so I will edit this post as I become more familiar with its characteristic. So far, the most impressive...Read more
perception is its low rolling resistance, which translate to very light throttle and hence fuel use. There is a trip computer on my Honda Accord Euro. With the Re040 and S001, I would be averaging around 9.2L/100km in stop/start traffic in the city. With the 3ST, the average fuel use so far has decrease to 8.8L/100km which I find quite astounding. (Assuming 15000km travelled per year, this is 60L fuel saving, which translates to $90 saving if PULP is a constant $1.50/L). This tyre is not cheap ($247) but it is still less than the S001, which I paid $279 each 2 years ago. The fuel saving makes the investment worthwhile. Whilst this tyre does not have the aesthetic tread pattern of an ultra-high performance tyre, its performance is what you would expect from one - I am very pleased with my selection. Michelin offers a $100 gift card when I made my purchase. Just watch the tyre monkeys, they use a flat bladed screw driver to remove the stick-on weights and they scratched my alloy wheels where it matters (Why me?), I also have to return for wheel alignment re-alignment because it is worse than before. Very quiet tyre, good ride comfort, significant reduction in fuel consumption. Tyre monkeys at Bob Jane don't care for your alloy wheels when it is not their own car.2 comments
Bob Jane employing monkeys! Must be paying high school dropouts peanuts.
UPDATE: I now have these Michelin Primacy 3ST for 6 months and it continues to impress. The city fuel use, according to the on-board trip computer has gone down to 8.2L/100km, which I find quite astou... Read more
nding. That is 1L/100km less than I had with the other sets of tires. Admittedly, my car is older, the engine is looser and there is more proportion of Freeway use. I am now trying to hypermile it in my Euro - think of the savings! It continues to be very quiet and sure-footed in varied city driving condition, in the dry and wet, for my easy driving style.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Amazing Tyres
It is hard to believe that tyres can make such a difference. My car is a Mercedes E350 so it already rides very well; these tyres take it to another level of comfort and silence. I thought I would be the only one to notice as the driver but my wife as the passenger also found them remarkably quiet and comfortable. If you want sheer luxury then buy these.

Very quiet tyre
Excellent touring tyre. Quietest tyre I have ever had on the car. Had 4 tyres fitted at jaxtyre centre and saved $80 per tyre so saved $320. Replaced Michelin Primacy LC originally on car. Will use these tyres on the convertible when the tyres come up for replacement. Very happy with this product.
April 20th 2017 Update: Just bought a new set
Just put new set of four tyres on the sedan. Replaced with same tyre as they provided excellent dry and wet handling. Very quiet ride and very durable - 63k. Bought four and got $100 off with this promotion so paid the same price I did originally in 2013! Purchased from Jaxtyres.
Quiet comfort and handling

Are they made in China or Thailand, I was hoping of putting European Michelin on not real keen putting (China or Thailand) on unless they can guarantee they are the same quality.
Sidewall says made in Thailand . The previous michelin's were made in Germany. I am sure Michelin will have stringent quality processes to ensure consistency in manufacturing.
Are you still happy with these (I have bought these ones made in China)?

Make sure these are your next choice of tyres
Have always been a fan of Michelin in the past and admired their excellent grip that is maintained till the end of the life of the tyre, relative quietness and high mileage. These are a quantum leap in all departments than its predecessor which was already a winner. Kudos to Michelin for advancing the tyre by the raising the level of grip, lowering the road noise, increasing the mileage and providing a smoother ride to boot. Have taken advantage of the JAXQuickfit Tyres $100 Michelin cash back and upgraded 3 cars even the one that did not need replacement when it felt unsafe in comparison to driving the other two shod with Primacy 3 ST's.
Suprising price for premium tyre, grip, quietness and smooth ride
Has not been released earlier..!

How about the performance under the wet condition. Are they as good as Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrical 2?
What was your predecessor tyre please?
Michelin Vivacys, and prior to that Toyo Teo Plus. Both were long wearing particularly the Michelins lasting 80k. The 3ST's have transformed the car making feel like a later model car because of the n... Read more

Are the Primacy tyres as durable as the Energy XM2?

I seem to remember seeing XM2 and Primacy 4 having similar wear ratings stamped to the sidewall, I'd imagine you will get excellent Mileage on the Primacy's based on their reputation
