Excellent tyres

published

Fitted to Skoda Superb mk2 by JAX Tyres replaced 1/2 worn Continental Contactsport 2's
$720 with a wheel alignment at each end and a $50 fuel card,
Much reduced tyre noise
Smoother ride
Similar excellent grip levels
Better feedback from tyres
In wet weather I don't push it - they feel as good as GY Armourgrips which Choice and I found brilliant in the wet
Excellent grip, braking and handlng, feed back, seemed to cut tyre noise by 1/3-1/2, noticeably smoother ride
the spare will seem wooden it needsto be used.

Super quiet. Absolute comfort.

After much research, put a set of 235x45x17s on the already quiet and smooth riding Lexus GS450h - but wow!!! - the ride has gone to a new level. These Michelins are in a class of their own - whisper quiet, just so comfortable and with excellent handling in the wet. Really exceeds expectations. Have had Yokohama CDrives and Toyo Teo Plus in the past, with the latter also being extremely quiet (great for the $160 or so price tag). But their ride does not cut it with these super silent Michelin STs. It's early days to judge fuel savings, but the fuel consumption computer does seem to be showing slightly lower numbers at this stage. Certainly more than worth the few dollars extra over the Toyo Teos.
Super smooth ride and super silent.

Best So Far

published

I have bought Michelin Primacy 3 ST size 205/55 R 16 for my C200 Kompresseor W204 previous tyres Bridgestone Er300, i am impressed with these tyres so far as i have done only 1000 Km on them as they are new to market i will update later if any changes. When new there was little noise from rubber but after 2-300 km of running they become super quite. Handling really good biggest difference i have seen is my fuel consumption dropped from 9.6 L/100 km to 8.2L Waoo...Braking is little better but not much difference may be new rubber. Its Comfy as well as bumps absorption is good. Bought it from JAx tyres $620 for set of 4.
Comfy, Good braking, Good milage, energy efficient
Bit pricey

Amazing Tyres

published

It is hard to believe that tyres can make such a difference. My car is a Mercedes E350 so it already rides very well; these tyres take it to another level of comfort and silence. I thought I would be the only one to notice as the driver but my wife as the passenger also found them remarkably quiet and comfortable. If you want sheer luxury then buy these.

Very quiet tyre

published

Excellent touring tyre. Quietest tyre I have ever had on the car. Had 4 tyres fitted at jaxtyre centre and saved $80 per tyre so saved $320. Replaced Michelin Primacy LC originally on car. Will use these tyres on the convertible when the tyres come up for replacement. Very happy with this product.

April 20th 2017 Update: Just bought a new set

Just put new set of four tyres on the sedan. Replaced with same tyre as they provided excellent dry and wet handling. Very quiet ride and very durable - 63k. Bought four and got $100 off with this promotion so paid the same price I did originally in 2013! Purchased from Jaxtyres.
Quiet comfort and handling

Are they made in China or Thailand, I was hoping of putting European Michelin on not real keen putting (China or Thailand) on unless they can guarantee they are the same quality.

Sidewall says made in Thailand . The previous michelin's were made in Germany. I am sure Michelin will have stringent quality processes to ensure consistency in manufacturing.

Are you still happy with these (I have bought these ones made in China)?

Make sure these are your next choice of tyres

published

Have always been a fan of Michelin in the past and admired their excellent grip that is maintained till the end of the life of the tyre, relative quietness and high mileage. These are a quantum leap in all departments than its predecessor which was already a winner. Kudos to Michelin for advancing the tyre by the raising the level of grip, lowering the road noise, increasing the mileage and providing a smoother ride to boot. Have taken advantage of the JAXQuickfit Tyres $100 Michelin cash back and upgraded 3 cars even the one that did not need replacement when it felt unsafe in comparison to driving the other two shod with Primacy 3 ST's.
Suprising price for premium tyre, grip, quietness and smooth ride

How about the performance under the wet condition. Are they as good as Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrical 2?

Are the Primacy tyres as durable as the Energy XM2?

I seem to remember seeing XM2 and Primacy 4 having similar wear ratings stamped to the sidewall, I'd imagine you will get excellent Mileage on the Primacy's based on their reputation

Look at your driver side door. They indicate the tyre psi or at most you ask your tyre specialist
