We did a lot of research on rangehoods before deciding on our purchase. We looked at SMEG and Gaggenau, who both seemed to have some very nice range hoods also. However, as we purchased our oven and cooktop from Miele, it seemed natural to get everything to match.
We couldn't afford the $6K Miele rangehoods, so the DA 3160 seemed like a good compromise. We have only had our DA 3160 for a few weeks, but have enjoyed using it so far without problems.

Anyone else having problems with Miele rangehood DA186?
It's needed 2 new computers in 5 years, and now the motor has also gone. Miele will not acknowledge that the product is unsatisfactory Not what I expect from Miele.
