Hi there. on 17 March 2017 we paid $1849 for the equivalent model. We had to replace it in September 2018 because of floods and the new model WKG130 cost us $1999 which included some detergent. Not sure if this helps.

Hi Tanya, the washing machine display, has switched off automatically to save energy. The display will return, when you press the (On/Off) push button. This feature can be turned ‘off’, as per instructions in the ‘Settings’ section of the operating manual. (pg. 73-75.) Kind regards, Joel.

Hi Jan, thank you for your question. If you go here https://www.miele.com.au/professional/inactivem-user-manuals-177.htm you can find the operating manual (type in product name as WKB 130). Page 14 shows that it should be displaying the cycle duration, however, page 75 provides information regarding some possibilities as to why it may not be, which you can check in the 'Settings' menu of the manual. If you are still having issues, please contact us on 1300 464 353. Kind regards, Anna.

Hi. I have a problem with my WKB130. It is making a squeaking and thudding sound every time I do a cycle. Its in the same spot as I have tried turning the drum by hand. The same part of the drum appears to be hitting something, making a slight clunk and a squeak.

I paid $1799 for this machine in late March 2017 so only just out of the warranty by 4 months. The noises did start quite a while before that though, so am rather disappointed considering the price I paid and the great reviews. I have a lg washer that I have had for a 11 years and that doesn't make a sound.

Hi I have a problem with a Miele WKF 130 powerwash. We washed our bath mats and now the error code of 0050 displays. We have tried cleaning the drainage outlets which had some but not a lot of dirt in them. This helped end the cycle but we cannot start another one as one minute into the program the error code displays again and we are back to square one.

My washing machine is displaying 'Prog. Cancelled' that I can't remove, after I pressed the start/stop button less than a minute after pressing it the first time. I have tried everything to remove this so machine will work again including turning off, also at the main and pulling cord out and back in again 10 minutes later and nothing has removed this 'Prog. cancelled' message and the light on the short cycle. It just tells me I can't change programme if I try another cycle.
The Miele book shows what to do with many error messages but not this one.
Does anyone know how to remove this message?
Thank you

Hi Cheryl,
After you cancelled the program, you need to open and close the door again. This will reset the controls so you can select another program.
Cheers

JoelMiele

Hi Cheryl, thanks for your question. If this message is on the display the door should be unlocked and you can open the door and now start another cycle. If this is not working, try putting program selector on original cycle, resetting power to the appliance, you could also try manual door release and then seeing if a new cycle can be started, if still no improvement, may need a service call to fix. If you can please book a service call using https://www.servicebooking.miele.com.au or if you have any questions don’t hesitate to call us on 1300 464 353. Kind regards, Miele.

Our front loader machine keeps beeping and showing 'check inlet'. I switch it off and wait ten minutes and turn it back on again but the same thing keeps happening. Is there another way of resetting it? We checked the inlet and had a plumber check the water pressure and there is no issue. Is there another way of resetting the machine?

Hi there, just put my first load of washing in a brand new Wkb130 I received today. Loaded 7 towels switched it on to cottons and was shocked to see it was going to be over 3 hour wash cycle..WOW. So went to this forum and read another customers query and was recommended to press the SHORT button but this just reduced it to 2hour and 24 minutes. Please tell me this is incorrect and I dont know how to use this Ferrari.I just threw away my old electrolux 12 years old which washed them nicely for 1hour and 10 mins?

Yes its true I was a bit put off at the start I just learnt to wash at different times . The 20 min wash is also good to use pending you’re washing isn’t really dirty (as they say) I have used this cycle before work

My understanding is that this is to save on water and electricity.
Old machines chewed through huge amounts of water and power. Notice how your Miele has a better power rating than the cheaper / older ones?
This is why.

As mentioned if you need things done quickly just use the quicker cycle. Otherwise to really benefit from the power savings and water savings of these machines, delay start over night is a really good option.

Hi Bob, to shorten the wash time further (after pressing the SHORT button) i change the temperature to 50 or 40 - this shortens the time to 1 hour 23 minutes.
Hope this helps - you may have discovered this already though : )

Just in case anyone else is looking for an answer to this... bizarrely, leaving the door open with it turned on is the answer. I tried turning it off at the plug socket and all sorts of things. But if you open the door and walk away for a few minutes it clears the problem and you can carry on.

Hi. I have just purchased a Miele WK130 and the cotton wash has stripped the decorative foil and glitter off my children’s clothes. Any advice on how to stop this happening? Thanks

Belle,
You should use a very gentle cycle for these items - like wool or silk. Also the water temperature should be very cool - 20 degrees - and use the Miele wool wash or silk caps.

Hi Belle,
Please note I'm no expert on Miele products and in fact I'm having a issue with them currently with the washing machine and dryer I bought from them. But given that I've had 5 kids and have used various machines over the years, I would suggest perhaps putting the items in a machine wash bag or pillow case that is firmly tied at the top and using a hand-wash cycle, cold if possible with very gentle spin. Hope this helps.

Can you add to the load once started?

Angela B,
You have obviously not read the instruction manual which accompanied your washing machine! Read page 40 of this manual which will explain precisely how to add laundry once the program has started. Bear in mind, however, that once the water has reached a certain level and/or temperature this will not be possible.

I can’t find the “extra rinse option on my Miele wkb130 washing machine? I have pressed water+ and the light comes on but no message shows on the display where how do I select “extra rinse”? As well I can’t find the “ gentle action” option in the minimum iron programme. I would appreciate help please.

You need to go to the programmable functions which are accessed by selecting a wash programme with the door open, touch start and keep holding whilst shutting the door, when the 'start' light lights constantly take finger off sensor, after 4 secs P13 lights up, use the < & > to scroll thru options, P30 is water plus but you can also increase amount of water P31 for washing and rinsing and also P32 for max water level on rinse P28 is for gentle action. This was on pages 73 -78 in my op instructions

Can I use liquid fabric softener instead of the caps in my Miele?

RBB

Yes. I use the same liquid stuff that I've been using for years. You either put the liquid or the cap in the same slot.

It doesn't have any impact on the towels ...they come out like sandpaper which I never had in my trusty top-loader. There are other reviews which say the same thing.

Hood luck with your decision-making.
