My washing machine is displaying 'Prog. Cancelled' that I can't remove, after I pressed the start/stop button less than a minute after pressing it the first time. I have tried everything to remove this so machine will work again including turning off, also at the main and pulling cord out and back in again 10 minutes later and nothing has removed this 'Prog. cancelled' message and the light on the short cycle. It just tells me I can't change programme if I try another cycle.
The Miele book shows what to do with many error messages but not this one.
Does anyone know how to remove this message?

Hi Cheryl,
After you cancelled the program, you need to open and close the door again. This will reset the controls so you can select another program.

we have just purchased new machine, plugged it in and wanted to start first wash. However came up with an error message 0200 and now is currently saying prog cancelled. No matter what we try we cannot get the machine to start.

Our front loader machine keeps beeping and showing 'check inlet'. I switch it off and wait ten minutes and turn it back on again but the same thing keeps happening. Is there another way of resetting it? We checked the inlet and had a plumber check the water pressure and there is no issue. Is there another way of resetting the machine?
Hi there,just put my first load of washing in a brand new Wkb130 I received today. Loaded 7 towels switched it on to cottons and was shocked to see it was going to be over 3 hour wash cycle..WOW. So went to this forum and read another customers query and was recommended to press the SHORT button but this just reduced it to 2hour and 24 minutes.Please tell me this is incorrect and I dont know how to use this Ferrari.I just threw away my old electrolux 12 years old which washed them nicely for 1hour and 10 mins?
Yes its true I was a bit put off at the start I just learnt to wash at different times . The 20 min wash is also good to use pending you’re washing isn’t really dirty (as they say) I have used this cycle before work
My understanding is that this is to save on water and electricity.
Old machines chewed through huge amounts of water and power. Notice how your Miele has a better power rating than the cheaper / older ones?

Hi Bob, to shorten the wash time further (after pressing the SHORT button) i change the temperature to 50 or 40 - this shortens the time to 1 hour 23 minutes.

Does this machine have an out - of- balance correction?
No. Make sure that your machine is level useing a spirit level. This should have been done when 1st installed.

You should use a very gentle cycle for these items - like wool or silk. Also the water temperature should be very cool - 20 degrees - and use the Miele wool wash or silk caps.

If you use good quality fabric softener it will make difference, and also it depends how your water is
Towels are rough when they are dried in the sun . But soft when dried in the Miele dryer . That is our experience .
My wife likes them rough dried in the sun ---I like them soft through the dryer !

What are the best settings to use for washing towels in a Miele front loader washer model WKB130. I have done about 5 loads now varying the settings and they always come out stiffish & rough, not soft. I do use Softly, have done for umpteen years in a top loader & the towels were always lovely & soft.
I use Power Wash 59 minutes and usually wash 6 towels using 2 tablespoons of bicarb soda and a dash of washing powder and in the rinse I use 2 tablespoons of vinegar and the towels are beautifully clean and soft.

I have a hurdle before I buy a Miele WKB130, it seems that Express20 program is really just a 'refresh' program. So not to be used for a normal daily load. Which means that a 'normal' wash will be anywhere between 2-3 hours every time!! Can that be right? How do you current WKB130 (W1) owners feel about a wash cycle that long?
I sent back my Miele WKF130. Worst machine ever. I now have an AEG 8000 series. Leaves the Miele for dead and cheaper. Do not buy Miele. Ruins clothes.

My Miele washing macihine is new. Can you tell me how fast should it tumble or agitate the clothes when washing them? It appears very slow and makes a ticking / tapping Boise at some point which is quite annoying . It is a front loader.

You simply press the start/stop button, "Cancel Program" will appear in the display, you touch "ok" and then "program cancelled" should appear and you will be able to open the door and then select another program.

What is water plus? How do you get hot water, when only cold is connected?

Water plus simply means that the water level is increased during the wash and rinse cycles.
If a cold water temperature is not selected the machine heats the water to the required temperature.

I was due for a new washed and have purchased my first front loader. I've always had top loaders and been told by numerous people you should go for a front loader and now am completely disappointed I did. Although it washes extremely well and spins good I find my clothes, especially towels are hard. I have altered all my rinse levels to the highest settings and cut the recommended front loader powder dose down by half but it hasn't helped. I really have no idea what to try next. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. It's not like it is a couple of hundred dollars machine
If you have a clothes dryer then put towels in it on warm for just 5 minutes. The results are better than excellent. Obviously you do not have the latest Miele as it most certainly will not accommodate washing powder. Liquids are best.
I do have latest machine it was only purchased end of January this year. I really love my clothes on the line and never have had to put them in the dryer to soften them.
Try reducing your spin cycle to a lower setting.
When you hang them out to dry, give them a bit of a shake.
