So good to drive
I bought the ASX as I wanted a small car with a roomy inside, it drives well, light and very fuel efficient, I can fill it up and I will get 500+k's out of it and that's just on run around journeys. Love the way the seat covers can come off to wash if need be. Mitsubishi threw in year rego on, full tank of petrol, ASX seat covers and ASX floor mats, was very happy with that. Love everything about this car!

Not my choice of an SUV
I'll start by saying I have a Land Cruiser Prado, latest model and suppose I'm spoiled.
I rented this car in December from The Gold Coast Airport for a 10 day holiday, for four adults. After pick-up I thought it was rather underpowered, when I needed to accelerate into traffic, however, I soon got used to it and had a very nice ride around, except for on the day we went into the Hinterland and had to climb hills. In both automatic and semi automatic it came very close to stalling, and dropped down into very slow speeds. The title I give to thi...Read more

Fuel effecent, good road view, handles well, back seat can fit 2 baby seats and an adult with ease, good all-round performance and would buy again if give my time over again. Very little road noise. Seats are good but not great. You get quite a lot of car for your money.

ASX represents unbeatable value at price
ASX standard model is well appointed with reverse mirror, folding wing mirrors, quality steel wheel rims, warranty and free roadside assist - at $23,950 on road it's excellent value. Car drives well and is responsive around town and sufficiently powered for the open road. While the 2.0L engine is not overly powerful (less so than my wife's previous Nissan X Trail (with 2.5L) it is sufficient for most situations and fuel efficient. The engine and road-noise are more marked than my Toyota RAV though not major issues. Dashboard, legroom and general layout are all pleasingly well designed. The ASX provides good visibility and ample carrying capacity for most use.

Love my ASX
I am a huge fan of my ASX! When I was originally reading reviews before I purchased it I was a little unsure, as a lot of people said that the seats were really uncomfortable and because I had planned on taking my ASX across the Nullabour that was playing on my mind. I haven't found any issues with the seats and it drove across the Nullabour like a dream! Probably the only thing I would like to see in future models is a little more go power. If you are looking for something that is a quick zippy car, this model probably isn't for you.

Love this car
Had a baby so needed a bigger car and one that was safer. Very happy with it overall and the value. Got a good deal from Castle Hill Toyota. Love the colour and the styling. Only thing that needs improving is the stereo. In this day and age cars need rear speaker somewhere in the car. My hubby put some in so its ok now. Safety was important to us so we are very happy. Plenty of space in boot and back seats. Also staff at castle hill toyota were very good and we got a great deal. Love the car. Petrol efficiency is great also.

First small Suv and I'm happy!
I have had mine since Jan 2016 and so far it has been great! We upgraded as we were having another baby and needed to fit 3 carseats in the back which we were able to do. The interior although fairly basic is comfortable and relatively roomy. The boots space is ok and I'm able to fit my double pram in easily. The car itself drives nice and smooth and I feel safe having my family of 5 in the car. I wouldn't say that it's great on fuel but I do do alot of short trips and sometimes several times a day so that my be contributing to my consumption.

Love my car! Great on petrol!
Runs extremely well! Very cost effective on petrol due to being a four cylinder motor. It has a well designed interior. The only issue I have had which isn’t anything mechanical but the glove box clip doesn’t shut properly. The mechanic replaced the clips & it’s still didn’t close. The whole glove box was replaced & it still doesn’t close properly which is extremely irritating considering I purchased the vehicle brand new from the car dealership.

Drives great no issues
The cabin noise is quiet. Interior is pretty standard although you do get touch screen and Bluetooth audio and voice control.
Have done 50k on it and every drive has been effortless even on unleaded non premium fuel. Can’t complain about the mileage either. Bluetooth audio works like a charm.
Legroom is sufficient at the back and boot size is adequate as well.
Overall extremely happy with purchase. The capped price on servicing is fantastic although I have now exhausted the period. Next service won’t be capped so not sure what it will cost.
Very recently had to replace front tyres and rears are still going.

Reliable, cost efficient SUV
Effectively equivalent to the Outlander mechanicaly (from the waist down). If you dont need the 2 extra dickie seats or couple of centimetres save $5K.
Changed the original tyres after 65000km, with a better tyre which noticeably improved the handling.
5 year warranty and fixed services costs.
Plastic trim is a bit harsh but easy to clean.
4x4 & Diesel gives great towing on our small caravan.

Perfect city-based SUV
Great driving experience. The wheel is easy to handle. The speed pickup is super fast, and I just wish I could drive this on German's highway where there is no speed limit. The Interior is pretty basic as compared to the European cars or higher-end Japanese cars. It's been reliable so far and does not use that much petrol. 7.8 L per 100 km on a highway.

Its All Good
Sold the 7 seat 4x4 when I retired we drove off in our Diesel 4x4 AWD 3 years ago, and we still love the car, on trips we getting 5.5 L/100K even with the kayak on top, around town it drops to 7 -8, we find it is easy to drive even on dirt roads, the turbo Diesel growls a bit at low speed but with the radio on you don’t notice it, it’s half the cost of the Toyota to services, and the turbo Diesel has a bit of punch of the line and at overtaking it does not notice hills, a good all round car that did not break the bank.

Great value family car!
My Mitsubishi asx aspire has all the extras you can ask for and when you consider the price being just under $30k that's a great value. I've got the moon roof, navigator, Bluetooth, keyless start, leather seats with warmers. The motor is not a strong one but as a mum with 2 children it's a fantastic car.

I love this car
This is the first car I have bought brand new and am more than happy. It's a good looking car is very fuel efficient and does not 'drag when picking up speed. I feel very safe in this car. I do however find the car is noisy and I can hear the tyres on the road. The seats also become a little uncomfortable on long trips and I've found myself using a cushion for the small of my back. Even if I knew of these issues prior, I'd still buy it all over again. My husband want one for himself

A reliable car but nothing flashy
This car handles well. It feels like you aren't driving a truck, has a reasonable turning circle and view of the road. The fold in mirrors are a lifesaver when you need to visibly check it rmember if you lock you car. Can fit the redsbaby metro pram in the boot but not much else. Fuel economy is not bad with $60-70 per tank for 600 kms

Attractive design but too small!
It's a nice small SUV but too small for a young family. Back seat very cramped with two baby seats. No room for a third person in the back seat with the two baby seats. Boot space barely fits our icandy peach pram. Definitely does not fit a double pram. Standard LS is very standard with hardly any extras. Seat fabric feels cheap. Driving feels unstable on the road and the engine is quite loud. Positives are nice wheel rims, attractive front end design, good fuel economy and nice colour range. But unfortunately I regret this buy. Wish I did not ...Read more
make such a quick decision buying this car. I actually took it back to the same car yard I brought it from (Mitsubishi Alto Pennant Hills) five weeks after buying it brand new & was offered $10,000 less than what I brought it for. Does not hold value well at all. I would recommend to look at bigger SUV models for a family unless you specifically want a small one or don't need baby car seats or don't need extra boot space. Or look at other car makes.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic Small SUV!
I had previously driven an ASX as a rental and loved it for its fuel efficiency, spacious interiors and extra height it gave me when on the road. So much so, I purchased one! The variable transmission means that you save on fuel without hindering its overall performance on the road. Its a smooth quiet drive!
Interiors are simple, with a fold-out drinks tray from the central back seat. The model that I am currently driving includes a reverse camera as standard in addition to reverse sensors, which is perfect for those tight city carparks.

Happy with my purchase
First of all I have to say I've come from driving a 2002 Hyundai Elantra so obviously any new car will seem great by comparison. Having said that, I did also regularly use my mum's Volkswagen Tiguan 2015 so I do know what it's like to not drive a janky old car.
From a non-motoring enthusiast POV: It does grunt and take a bit of effort to accelerate from stationary but once it gets going it's smooth driving. The running costs seem pretty reasonable to me, a full tank did get us from Melbourne to Horsham and back (600km). A lot of reviews seem ...Read more

Perfect amount of space for a growing family
What I love about my Mitsubishi ASX is that it has more space inside than most small SUVs and drives nicely on country roads, with a comfortable ride, good steering and plenty of power. It comes with a five-year warranty. There is good airbag coverage all around, and the standard rear parking sensors and reversing camera raise safety levels by giving a better understanding of what’s behind. The air-conditioning maintains a set temperature and it has heated front seats, which feels great in winter. The wheels are made from an aluminium alloy whi...Read more
ch makes it look nicer. Front fog lights double as daytime running lights makes the car more visible to others. The ASX offers the perfect amount of space for a growing family. There is not enough light at the backseats thoughSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My asx 2015 model lost power. I just put a new battery in it. It worked fine the next day, but now l can't even open it with my remote. So I open the door with the key, and put it in the ignition and still no power. Any suggestions thanks.
