Very Good Car!
This is the second car that I have owned and I bought it brand new. I have to say that it is amazing to drive and is really reliable. The handling is second to none and the seats are extremely comfy. The servicing so far has been a breeze, especially with the capped price servicing that was included in the deal. I'm going to hold on it for quite a while as it's an awesome car! The sportiness of it really appeals to me.

Awesome Car!!!
Bought the LS version last year as my first car in Australia (have had 4 different cars in other countries) and boy am i happy with it. Totally value for money (got it in a nice deal). Decent engine, not the best of power but for a normal household it works fine. Mileage is good and doesnt burn a hole in the pocket. The interiors and exteriors are both stylish and makes you feel good while driving the car.
Leather seats are a nice touch, and seat heating is nice in winters.

really reliable
Very pretty car, very reliable, very comfy and does the job really well. All in all this is a good choice for a cheap reliable car, requires only 1 service a year (no minor or major… just the 1!) however, the bottom of the range is rather feature poor. But my biggest issue is noise, the car has a lot of road noise… which is very dispointing!

Best new car under $25K
This is the 4th Lancer I have owned, I love them. Haven't had any problems with any of them, they all run smooothly, good on fuel efficiency, low noise and comfortable to drive. If you want a good quality, reliable, brand new car under $25K, I don't think there's any better car on the market than a Mitsubishi Lancer.

What a great car
Since purchasing my Evo X I have had a smile on my face. Performance is stunning and the car handles brilliantly. Servicing is done regularly and have had no dramas. Purchased New Pirelli tyres recently which was the only major expense so far. Have previously owned the brilliant Evo 6, but the X is in the same class.

Love ralliart
I love this car and I can't have enough driving it, my partner has the same car and we enjoy going for car trips with our kids and do some crazy driving, Drove over 10 hours from Melbourne to Sydney several times, has enough space for a family and it's great for who simply loves cars and performance driving.

Nice little car
Just purchased new off the lot. Interior is mainly plastic and the rubber around the doors seems poor quality, does not join. Carpet and seat fabric is lovely, but for some reason the carpet has been cut under the two front seats. There is no AUX port. The gears in the manual feel clunky, but it is still nice to drive. There is minimal engine noise on the highway, car travels well up hills in 5th. Reliable, excellent on fuel. Nice big boot but not much leg room in the back. Did have an issue with the clear coat peeling and a spot had to be resp...Read more
rayed, also dropped the fuel cap once and ended up with a pock mark in the clear coat there too. Oddly, the rear view mirror fogs up. Love the driving lights and the lights on the side mirrors, reversing camera is handy too. Really low at the front, forever scraping when going up or down driveways.Similar opinion? Best car I've owned
Purchased new in 2012 & 108,000 km later I have not had a single problem. New set of tyres at 76,000 km & still on the original battery. This model has the 10 year 160,000 km drive train warranty. Features like leather upholstery, electric drivers seat, heated seats, reversing camera & sensors, bluetooth audio & mobile phone connectivity, body mouldings & alloy wheels set the Platinum edition apart. Comfort and CVT transmission are great. I'll never have another standard multi speed auto after continuously variable transmission. Economy is bett...Read more
er than a manual. It is always at the best rpm to deliver the best economy & power is instant with no gear changes. There is plenty of room and the floor is flat when the rear seats are folded down. The boot floor panel drops down for taller items when the seats are all occupied. Dashboard is clean & uncluttered, seats are comfortable & legroom good & plenty of storage pockets. Power & handling are good thanks to Mitsubishis rally experience. Best car I've ever ownedSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Lancer is the answer
I Love this car. The comfort, the power and smooth comfortable drive. It is cheap to run and nearly 2.5 years later the car runs like new, with no wear on the brakes and still 35% tread left in the tyres and it has done 48,000 Km. The Sales and after sales experience have been exceptional. Best car I have ever had and I would definitely get another Lancer when I decide to get a new car.

Great car
I have owned a lancer before my current one as well and they have always been reliable, I haven't had any troubles. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for value and reliability. Looks better than most cars in its price range too in my opinion although you see them everywhere too lol

Lowered Shockers and springs
Will lowered shockers and springs suited to suit a 1999 lancer CE fit a 2001 lancer CE. Wondering about this as I've been asked if I want an unopened new set but stuck as I'm not 100% if they will fit.
Thanks heaps, can't wait for what you all have to say!

Aspire 2009 - Excellent Car - Amazing Sound System for Music Lovers
Has always been 100% reliable, no faults at all for 160,000 km, and good to drive. Has a fantastic audio system (Rockford Fosgate), that in my current car search (<$50k) has only been approached by an Audi A3 Bang & Olufsen, but the Lancer has more adjustment options and sounds better in IMHO.
I'm not a speedy driver, but I've never been embarrassed at the traffic lights when I've felt like pushing it. However there is a road noise issue on rough surfaces, perhaps exacerbated by the 18" wheels. The ride is also stiffer compared to recent test ...Read more

Good engine power and roadholding, but...
The Lancer 2000 cc has very good power and pickup. So it is quite easy to exceed the speed limit if one is not careful in checking the speedo regularly. The dash is stylish but the speedometer and RPM dials are quite small even compared to those in smaller cars. This makes it a bit hard to easily read the speed and RPM - more time is spent on reading these than necessary. It handles well and is quite smooth, but road noise suppression is average. It has front, side and curtain airbags though, and the car feels well built and solid.

biggest weakness is its seats. I just had a 3-hour drive (1.5 hours X 2) in it today out of the city, and within an hour my thighs and bottom were aching. The seats are just too hard and do not seem to be well-padded enough to support the body well. My other cars, including older ex-cars like 1995 Nissan Maxima and 2001 Honda Civic, have/had much better and more supportive seats. In these two I drove long distances like 5 to 6 hours non-stop, and yet I did not suffer any aches and pains.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

great car
I love my Mistusbishi lancer and was hoping to update it however the lack of the hatchback option on the latest model has made me hold off a purchasing new. Hopefully the next years model will include this.
It has been a great family car for the five of us and we haven't had any mechanical issues since our purchase in 2010

Poor Component Quality and Warranty Service
Purchased new currently has 20,000 klms. So far alternator and ABS Module have failed. Warranty claims take a week for Mitsubishi to authorize, so 2 trips to dealership for each fix and a week off the road. Poor component quality and worse warranty service. Would not recommend in view of poor Mitsubishi product support.
Gets worse!!!!, contacted dealership who advised, that ABS Module part is not in stock in Australia and has to be back ordered from Factory in Japan, dealership not sure how long to obtain, but expect a delay of 4 weeks. Contac...Read more

Hugs the road
Love my lancer. It's my 3rd Mitsubishi car and second lancer. Just hugs the road and is reliable on take off. Feel very safe with the excellent ANCAP safety rating. Hard to beat for price and efficiency. The interior of the car is plenty big for the family and hard wearing for little kiddies.

Great reliable car
I purchased a Mitsubishi lancer in 2010 and it is great to drive and has never caused me a single problem. This is a great reliable no-frills car which I plan on owning for a long time. I would much rather own this car than a luxury vehicle. Plenty of space for 4 or 5 people and good storage space.

Great Car
I have found this to be a very reliable and easy to drive car. The manual transmission is simple to use and the gear ratios are suited to the power the engine produces. I am very impressed with the technology this relatively cheap car has, but a sat-nav and reversing camera would be good additions. The interior is a little 'plasticky', but what's unusual about that these days? The seats are comfortable and there is good all around visibility. Running costs so far have been quite low and the reliability of this car is impressive. I took it...Read more
to a mechanic to get it checked out just prior to the expiration of the warranty and much to his disgust, he couldn't find anything that Mitsubishi might have to fix for free. Overall, I am very happy with this car. It's even better than my cherished 1982 Sigma GSR (RIP) which also worked very well and died bravely!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
