5 week old GLX R Trtion, head unit has all sorts of mystery happening. These include and not limited to, randomly changing stations, not storing stations, blank screen, to just no display of any kind for days. The most annoying thing is the dealer in Sth Australia admits that there is a problem, and advises that there is a software fix on the way, but no date!! I have since moved to Townsville QLD and the dealer here states there is no issues with this model and head units. Mind you this dealer is extremely difficult to deal with on any issue...
Read more. How can Mitsubishi knowingly continue to sell these vehicles with the knowledge that the Head Units are faulty, to use kind and nice words. Why has their not been a recall??? I am more than angryPurchased in for $56,990.

Vehicle is great, I use nearly every day. Head unit has always given problems, goes blank randomly, flashes on and off randomly. I drive this vehicle alone. I was told I would have to take photos to prove there is a problem. I think that would be illegal while driving. Service department does not want to know.

Agree with the last post about the head unit so frustrating I’m about to get my third unit in 4 weeks 2600 ks on it. Have been in contact with Mitsubishi Australia asking to have the unit upgraded to the 22.5 head unit they told me that’s not a option Mitsubishi Australia do not care or want to help. These units should never of been installed to the vehicle’s my list of problems is huge. So if there not willing to listen to me and do something to help me other then keep replacing it with the same head unit I am willing to do things so I am list...

Bought brand new 2015 Triton Exceed. 7 years and 9 recalls later - sidesteps fell off at high speed (luckily no other vehicles nearby), 2 canopies fell apart, hand brake cable snapped, alarms for seatbelts, traction control etc going off randomly, vibrations, rattles, seats very uncomfortable, constant problems and poor service from Mitsubishi along with increasing lack of available parts and we threw in the towel and bought a Dmax. Will never touch Triton again.

Mitsubishi should recall these vehicles & replace the useless stereo head unit & fix the dangerous throttle lag. This issues are discussed daily in social media groups.
I would never let an inexperienced driver operate my vehicle due to the lag. When you try to accelerate quickly there’s a delay of a second or two before the power kicks in. Because of this delay, many drivers that I’ve spoken to have pushed a bit harder on the pedal & then had to deal with a larger than expected kick in power when it does come on. Especially dangerous in the we...

Bought new Mitsubishi Triton and have a rough idle at the traffic lights...only in drive and intermediately..
Feels like is going to stall..
Vehicle only had 100 kilometres on the clock when this started, now have 1500 and have it booked in for its first free service.. however looking at some other reviews I see this has also happened to other Triton owners... I would like to know of outcomes.. ??
Did the dealer rectify problem ??
I feel as if I bought a new vehicle and that new car warranty means not much if they can't fix...

Just ticked over 10,000km and still very happy with the Triton. Some niggles like intercooler o ring blowing 3 times already and the head unit is a p.o.s. so I bought a better one.
Having said that though the Triton is superbly comfortable over the likes of a Hilux and offers great value for money. The 10 year warranty is annoying because you can't put aftermarket parts on it, even though they are better quality eg the intercooler o ring seal or silicone hoses. Service is hit and miss, some staff are interested some are not. I've tried engaging with the salesman post sales but have been ignored which has spoiled the experience.

Great Value for money. Some slight but niggly faults
We ordered a new XLS with luxury pack Triton last October and it was delivered in March 2022.
The bad news:
The infotainment system is not intuitive at all. eg. How to turn off the radio on either FM, AM or Digital.. There is no off button. (There is if you try REALLY hard to find it.)
The leather driver's seat looked used. A lot. This on a vehicle having done 33km. The seat is creased compared to the passenger seat.

I object to any company that supplies a manual which states categorically but refuses to supply. Isn't that against consumer law? It's just irritating!Purchased in for $52,220.

25,000KM into ownership and I am on first name basis with the manager of my Mitsubishi Dealership.
It's on it's second gearbox, after the original one kept popping out of third at speed. The new gearbox refuses to go into reverse without a significant amount of force applied to it, so I suppose it's about to get its third gearbox now.

Read morerectify the brakes squealing it seems, so I just live with it now. The entertainment unit is just awful. We'll leave it at that. It beeps, bongs, boops and ticks for everything. Seatbelt is off momentarily? Beeps. Put it into reverse with the tailgate down? Different Beeps. Diesel tank a quarter empty? Different beeps again. If they had only engineered the rest of the car as well as they had the overwhelming amount of alarms on the dashboard.Purchased in .

The head unit freezes all the time and i have to pull over, turn car off and start the car again just to unfreeze the head unit. Told Mitsubishi 9mths ago and still waiting for them to get back to me as to when it will be replaced as it's been doing it from the time we picked the car up from the caryard from brand new. So if your looking at a twin cab Ute the don't get a Mitsubishi Triton. The car is 12mths and 3 weeks old. Even emailed head office but still nothing and no one gets back to me.
Very frustrating when I have to pull off the road, turn the car off and start it again just to turn the volume up or down or even use the gps.
Very bad customer service

I Brought a Demo Mitsubishi Triton. The car is used occasionally. We live on acreage which has a dirt driveway only. The car sits in the carport most of the week. I have never done 4wd in it.
I brought the car just as Covid Hit. So about 2 years ago now. Car is serviced on a regular basis.
Since I have had to have the whole floor replaced as it came away from the sides.
At one stage the senses didn't work. Least they fixed them.
The seat belt light in the back keep coming on even though the seat belt was plugged in.

Mostly used as a work vehicle, as a business broker. Great for carrying signs as well as customers. Most are surprised how comfortable and quality of air con, auto and sound system (mostly via Spotify). Occasionally tows an A Van Frances (1495 dry, about 1850
Loaded). Does it easily. Expect mid 8s for highway work, 10s in town and 14s or so towing.
It seems resale compared to sedans and SUVs is a lot better, so might think of a GSR in 12 months or less
