Excellent
I've had my Triton 3 years now and well over 100,000kms and haven't had any issues. I use it for work a fair bit and take it off road about 4-5 times a year. A very capable ute and very practical for daily driving duties. My lease is expiring but I will be keeping it for five years as I'm very happy with the ute and can't find anything worthy of replacing it!!
Great interior and very comfortable back seat. The Triton comes with lots of great features like the rear diff lock. (GLX-R) It's a fairly economical ute and price wise I think a very goo...Read more

Excellent
Extremely happy, superb value for money. It is a great buy and good all-rounder. Would definitely buy again. Only buy new when you know how to get Mr Tax man to pay for 3/4+ of its new price.
2007 (MY07) GLS model TDI - Great price, looks smart, Unstoppable in the REAL tough stuff (with rear diff lock). Very comfortable (More so than all the other competitors - I drive all around Oz with the Mrs and can sit in it all day) and very smooth ride. Great fuel economy (9.1l/100km - had it down to 6.7). Real 1 tonne payload - tows 2 and 3/4 tonne boat...Read more
with ease (great fuel economy whilst towing have not seen it above 10l - 100km on the beach). Heaps of room in the back seats. Leather seats are great too (only 4x4 ute with leather - in GLS model). Common rail turbo-diesel flies like the wind Yea, turning circle is not the best - Go buy a city buzz box if you want 5 meter turning circles. Could also rev a bit harder

OK
An honest rig, great engine and fuel economy, cheap to buy, it just needs some weight in the back to settle it down and something done about the squeakiness of the suspension.
Roomy cabin (particularly the back seat), light steering, diesel engine has plenty of stick.
Dash styling (just like the Magna and Outlander - OK if you like that sort of thing). Rough ride and the rear suspension is skittish, and squeaking! Our worksite is full of the base model dual cab versions and you can hear them coming from miles away because the rear suspension is...Read more

Find out how Mitsubishi Triton ML (2006-2009) compares to other Utes
Know better, choose better.
Mitsubishi trys harder
Mine is a work vehicle, which I wouldn't of picked for the application it is intended. Beggars can't be choosers I suppose. However the vehicle a double cab GLX 4x4 diesel looked ok until a tray and fibreglass canopy was fitted. Now looks like a queen greenant. (not Mitsubishis fault) Aluminium bar and spots make the front look better. The body itself is basic on this model. I have aftermarket cruise control which I recommend, if it is for long distance use. Heaps of room in the cab including the rear seats. Well appointed compared to previous ...Read more
base model. Electric windows, CD/MP3 player. The seats are terrible for long distance. I drive between 3 and 12 hours to see customers each day and my company hasn't done me any favours with this vehicle. Around town it is ok except the seats providing no support what so ever. The exterior reveiw mirrors are stupid. Both have the "objects are closer than they appear" mirrors. I find this extremely disconcerting when backing into any situation. Having a canopy with dark tinted glass means I cannot see out of the internal rearview mirror either. It annoys me that the Mitsubihi Corp thinks I am too stupid to work out where vehicles are situated around me. I will be trying to replace the lenses with standard ones. The engine is powerful and economical which can only get better as it runs-in. The turning circle is brilliant. The engine is very rattly just off idle in each gear until the revs build up. Sounds like marbles in a tin. Not sure if this has to do with the common rail. I suppose Mitsubishi will tell me it is nothing to worry about. Gear box is very sticky through the gears both up and down the box. Not easy to get it in or out of first gear even with the cluth fully engaged. First service is past due, so see what happens afterwards.I do like the vehicle and friends with the GLX/R and GLS tell me their seats are OK. None have driven more than a few hours in one sitting though. They do look like they have more support and a bigger squab. I will update this when I have 10,000k on the clock. Great turning circle. Powerful. Economical. Roomy. Stupid exterior rearview mirrors. Dumb front seats. Designed for maximum discomfort.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good
I bought the ute new, for personal transport, not as a day to day load carrier/ workhorse, so perhaps my opinions are biased somewhat differantly from the trades people. I had one warranty item, the rear lights blew around two thousand kms, the wiring harness abraded on the tray underframe. Happy with service. Engine is sweet. Overall build is good. Radio cassette? You tell me! Still, it's a good excuse to break out the old tapes huh.
Cheap, easy to operate. Light steering. Came with aircon standard. Large alloy tray.
Not much really. Cab a lit...Read more

If it feels like your serging as the car is going then slowing as you drive it could be your scv suction control valve I just changed mine fixed the problem. Also could be your egr. I fitted a egr delete cable for off road use only and it bypasses the egr where the soot builds up. Your car will run heaps better.
