Staff are not willng to help/disinterested
I went to MKC repairs at Elizabeth street to get my samsung s6 fixed because it's internal LCD was broken and the screen was alright. I just wanted them to replace the LCD but they insisted it comes with the screen when the screen was alright. The receptionist was not very helpful. It felt like they were urging us more money. So I had to pay 260$ (mind you that's still very expensive since Im an international student who lives on a budget). My samsung galaxy s6 is black but because they said they ran out of stock they put a white screen margin ...Read more
on it which does not correlate with my dark colored phone. I would have liked it if they just replaced my LCD and put back the old black margin but they didnt and im wondering if they did that to get more money. Now Im wondering did they really have to charge me this much just for a LCD replacement? what's the point of even going to a repair shop if the repair costs more than buying a new phone? Repairing means giving an old broken device more life so you can get by. But this service is just too expensive. People are being ripped off by this company and other phone repair companies who charge 200$ and above. Back in my home country they would gladly have replaced everything for me for 30$. I would have agreed since it is a reasonable price. 260$ for an LCD replacement? Really? Not cool.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Battery replacement just Asking for trouble
Took my iPhone 6 in for a simple battery replacement late June, phone started going to sos and searching mode and no wifi needed to be turned off and re started for it to work. Went back to MKC and was told it should be ok, lasted two days so back again. Same story should be ok now told to squeeze it when it went into searching mode.
Get them to touch your phone . Certainly not you would be silly if you did.

Terrible Experience
I took my iphone 8 for a screen repair. The wait time was hours not 15-30 mins as advertised. The phone was not even looked at when I returned the next day so I had to make an additional trip. Then the phone ran hot and the brightness level was terrible so have had to return again; all the while the service attendant was completely disinterested. They also charged me more than the web advertised price and when I raised this I was informed it was a new offer - completely untrue as the offer runs out today the same day I have taken it back.

Disinterested Staff
I reviewed the web site and decided to visit the Brandon Park store to get my sons screen replaced. I approached the counter two people sat chatting, one drinking an energy drink. Neither seemed inclined to serve me and I had to initiate the contact. The person who did serve often failed to make eye contact and came across as disinterested. He took the phone, gave me a price, checked the stock and handed back the phone saying "We don't have this in stock", the please go away now was not stated but implied. Therefore I cannot review the repairs, only the initial customer service, which to be frank, was non existent. It didn't give me a lot of confidence so I went elsewhere.

Don’t bother to replace your iPhone battery there
I replaced my iPhone 5s battery in February and left the phone in a draw as it’s a spare phone. Last week I was thinking to give my son to use it so I charged the phone and tried to do a software update. In one minute time the battery percentage dropped from 100% to 70%. I phoned shop was told it out of 90 days warranty and they can’t do anything about it. It’s totally wasting time and money.

Don’t bother wasting your time
Bought a screen protector, shocking quality, holding it the bottom had cracked. When I went back to ask the man he said “yeh well. That’s the way it is”
Over priced and horrible service. Go somewhere else.

AVOID! COMPLETE THIEVES - CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE WALKING AWAY
I had the store in Brandon Park repair my son's ipad screen. The advertised special to repair was $89.00 which included a screen protector and case. I advised the owner that I did not require these items and requested whether she would kindly discount the cost of the repair as the person before me had requested. The owner agreed to discount by $10.00. When I picked up the ipad, the owner deceitfully charged me $89.00 which reflected on my bank statement.
Also, waiting time for repairs is not 30 min as falsely advertised. Repairs are carried out in 3 hours.

Broke it, can't fix it, denied it
Took device for a new screen.
The screen they fitted was faulty so had to take it back for a new screen.
A few months later the screen is falling off and is dodgy again - took it back for to be fixed again.
Got it back only to find that the Bluetooth is faulty.
Had to take it back again, leave it with them for 3 weeks only to find out that 'they cannot fix it' and now they deny that they could even possibly have broken it.
It was working fine when it was dropped off with them and not working when we got it back - what can I say.
Very poor customer service and they break things and then shrug all responsibility.

30-60 minutes - I don't think so
I drove 30 mins to the Wheelers hill store to get an iPad mini 2 screen replaced. I had previously tried ringing before i visited but no answer. When i arrived they staff member asked if it wanted it today. I said that would be great. He didn't seem too keen on having to do it the same day. I left with iPad not repaired and will looking else where to get it repaired. They need to change their website to 30-60 minute repairs to subject to staffing levels and appointments are necessary. Don't advertise something that you can't do.

Yippee!!!!!
I broke the glass on my IPad Mini 4 so took it in to be repaired. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. The sales people advised it would take an hour to fix but was done in 45 minutes. Very happy with service and would recommend MKC Repairs to anyone. Thank you very much really appreciated.

Highly not recommended!
I visited to this store on Sunday after seeing reviews but I was mistaken when I went there in person with my iPhone 6 s they asked me to come after 2 hours, then soon after 2 hour when I went there they said it’s completely dead it won’t work again, they didn’t even open it because they didn’t ask my passcode, I left that place. I was so disappointed. It got repaired the other day Working and completely alive now.Because of MKC I end up in buying new phone the other day, which I wouldn’t have bought.
