Can you juice pineapples without peeling them and removing the core?
Kind regards Kerry.
2 answers
Best on my experience, I would not recommend it - I consider cleaning and chopping a pineapple as a must (would not like to break the juicer down, it is otherwise a good machine).

HI Kerry,
No pineapple skin and the core both need to be removed before juicing.
Thanks for the question!

Would anyone mind telling me what price they paid? Can't find a price on their website. I am looking at a second hand one for $300 but don't know how that compares with full price.
Thank you

Benziebasked
A question. I mainly juice carrots and Beetroot. 10 regular size carrots and a full beetroot(60-80mm diameter).
With my existing Cold press juicer, it leaves a fair amount of fine pulp in the juice... making it almost a smoothie. Ideally I would want a juice with very minimal residue of the pulp. Also sometimes the waste pulp is still fairly moist - not sure why it varies. How does the MOD stack up?
1 answer
Mod Customer ExperienceMod
Hi Benzieb, thanks for the question! Mod Cold Press does allow a very fine amount of roughage through into the juice, which is a more nutritious way to drink juice than if all roughage is removed as it allows your gut to process the juice more effectively. (However its very fine and certainly nothing like the smoothie consistency you described). If you would like to remove all of the roughage we include an additional sieve with every juicer purchase. I hope that helps, thanks!

Neilasked
Hi is there any domestic type juices that you can juice an orange whole ie not peeled?
1 answer
Not sure Neil. But our Mod juicer I leave as much as possible of the oranges pith and if I’m adding lemon I leave some of the skin on and the Mod juicer breezes through it
Juicerasked
Hi
Can you please advise me if this juicer is good with wheat grass??
Ngyaire Gasked
Hi I’m very new to all this and looking at your product mod juicer. Am I correct in thinking you simply place any fruits and vegetables in and it will juice them?
1 answer
Cut apples, pears etc into 1/4s
Remove stone/seed from plums, apricots, nectarines etc
Peel oranges, lemons unless you like the taste from the peel.
Remove grapes from stalks
Basically remove the bits you don't want in juicer, stalks, leaves, seeds etc.
Vegies I generally just wash before juicing
Feed fruit or veg into juicer slowly.
Experiment with flavours, so yum.
The MOD Cold press juicer is an awesome machine. Never leaves my bench top. I have the MOD Pro blender also, another great machine for smoothies and soups.

Is the Mod Cold Press available in New Zealand? Sound just what I am looking for.

Read that the Mod is chinese built is this true?
Trishasked
Being cold pressed does that mean this juicer retains all the vitamins & minerals?
Patricia
1 answer
Mod Customer ExperienceMod
Hi Patricia, thanks for the question!
Cold Press Juicers will retain many more vitamins and nutrients than the traditional fast juicers do. This is because the produce is not cut at high speed but is masticated instead, so the juice is not heated or altered during the juicing process.
If you have any other questions just let is know!
Trang Lasked
Hi,
Can I put sugar cane in this juicer as canes are pretty hard to press? Thanks
2 answers
Hi Trang, I think this is one I would ask the MOD team about. Instructions don't mention anything about such ingredients in it.
I would never put my machine under so much stress, surely there is another tool out there for this job ????? Good luck with your research.

Mod Customer ExperienceMod
Hi Trang!
No the Mod Cold Press is not designed for extracting sugar cane, as mentioned cane is very hard and would require a purpose designed sugar cane extractor.
Thanks for the question!

Hi there,
Just wanted to ask some question regarding the mod juicer.
1. Can it make garlic purée
2. Can grind herbs and spices (wet or dry)?
Thanks,
Danny
3 answers
Hi Danny yes I have made garlic puree with this it does a great job. As for spices I haven't tried as yet.
Thank you for your answer.
Hi Danny, to be completely honest I don't know. I only juice with it, I have put parsley and coriander in it but only for their juice. I would recommend a food processor or a cheaper version of a bullet for what you are asking. I must say though before I purchased I called mod up with my own list of questions and their customer service was exceptional.

My juicer has some slight movement in the top section when juicing which cause a slight rubbing of plastic on plastic noise, was wondering if anyone else had this issue?

I’m looking at buying a vertical cold press juicer and comparing it with several other brands. The Mod certainly has a lot of good reviews. Just have a few questions.
Does the Mod have a reverse function if food does get stuck?
Is food getting stuck or caught an issue?
Has any one had any issues with juicing beetroot? Can it be put in whole or does in need to be chopped up?
Some vertical wide mouth cold press juicers say to soak things like carrots in water. Is this required with the Mod?
How dry is the pulp as it’s not as slow rpm as some other vertical cold press juicers so I want to know if this difference really matters?
Thanks
3 answers
Hi, thanks for your questions!
Yes, Mod Cold Press has a reverse function, so if anything gets stuck you can quickly unblock it and resume juicing. Beetroot can definitely be juiced, it is better to cut into a few smaller pieces first though. It isn't necessary to soak carrots before juicing them, and the pulp generally will be very dry, with a high percentage of juice extracted from the produce.
Thanks again, if you have any further questions feel free to give our customer service a call on 1300 89 89 60.
Thanks for your response, one other question which no one seems to mention. With cleaning once finished juicing or in between changing juices can you pour water into the tube for a quick rinse, with the tap closed. I noticed several other models say you can which I think would make the finally clean up quicker. Thanks.
Hi again,
Yes you can, and that does help clean as a quick rinse. Its also useful for making different kinds of juices in the same batch.
Thanks again for your interest in Mod Cold Press Juicer!

Hi
My mod juicer keeps screeching,I have made sue it is assembled properly but doesn't seem to make any difference. Any help?
3 answers
Hi JoAnna
Your juicer should not be making a screeching sound, our customer service will call you shortly.
Hey! Mine was doing the same, but I worked it out. It’s the apple peel or sometimes beetroot skin. I just cut my apple up a little bit and peel the beetroot. Hope that helps!
The point with this juicer and it’s advertised as such is the things don’t need to be peeled or cut up small. I’ve quartered my apples and beetroot and it makes the same noise even with carrot. I’ll be calling Mod in the morning to sort it out. When it’s making that noise it’s worth that my standard other juicer. Does make great juice.

Is anyone else suspicious of the fact this unit is "Sponsored", some of the comments don't make logical sense and seem quite similar, the unit appears to be a direct copy of the Kuvings Juicer and that it's near impossible to find out the country of manufacture and history of the manufacturer? I could be wrong but it made me spooked enough to go with the original design and get the Kuvings.
