Still Going Strong
Have owned a molmic couch for ten years, it still looks as good as the day we brought it.
We have been very happy with the purchase.
As for plumping it up, people will complain about anything these days get a life!

Awful and service was ghastly
We ordered 1x 2.5 seater, 2x armchairs and 2ottomans.
Ottoman was so poor 2.5 cm difference in height from one leg to another. Fabric delivered with a hole. Molmic refused to accept responsibility for their poor workmanship, thank goodness for David Jones.
Clearly a manufacturing issue and failure of QC, yet my inertaction with molmic was always adversarial.
I would never buy or recommend this company.
Despite obvious failures on their part never was I contacted by the company, I was forced to escalate the issue to illicit a response.
Despite paying for a premium product we have joins in the fabric on the cushions. This is unacceptable in a sofa of over $10k. ...Read more

Very expensive mistake
My partner sat on the molmic shona product in the molmic showroom in the Airport West showroom. He reported in it was nice to sit on. Fast forward to the delivery day and the first evening we sat on it we both had to reposition ourselves every half an hour. It is (pardon the expression) bum numbing and so uncomfortable! Fast forward 3+ days and my partner now has constant back pain. At the end our busy days we just want to relax but can’t. This brand was recommended by Macedon Furniture store, who stated the brand features on The Block tv show. Just because something is on atv show that is no reason to recommend it. We are 2 months into it’s use and hate it.

Molmic sofas- you inserts may be the issue
For those that are not happy with their Sofa's, may I suggest you change the inserts on the lounge.
The main reason sofa's flatten and are hard to plump up, or need plumping up is due to the feather filling.
Feather filling is luxurious however it does take work to keep it plumped.
There are alternatives - Luxuria foam, with a feather wrap is a great option, or firmer foams and no feather wraps.
In my experience as a designer, Molmic are a excellent company regarding their quality.
The insert options may not have been explained to you when purchasing from where you purchased it.
I hope that helps clarify things, give Molmic a call to see if they can improve things otherwise - by the way I have no affiliation with them.

I wish I had review prior to purchasing my couch!
I consider myself to be still in reasonable physical condition.( I am a pensioner.) However it almost requires an Olympic standard gymnastics/wrestling medal to be able to plump the cushions! The worst purchase I ever made. Can't afford a new leather one. Looks so beautiful, couldn't wait to own it. Only wish the staff at the store had informed me of the amount of .work required to maintain the cushions

Awesome!
This sofa we have had for 7.5 years and still going strong. It is soooo comfortable and it has had kids jumping on it as well as the dog and lots of people over time and it is still in great condition. Only negative is the side striped cushion covers fell apart after only 6 months but I noticed they have since changed that part of it!

Perfect nights sleep!
I stayed on this sofa at a girls house a couple of weeks ago. I really Can't recommend it enough. Spacious, comfortable and very sturdy.....
Got plenty of sleep which was ideal for the long walk home the next day.

Don't buy a Molmic lounge, very expensive mistake
This has been a very expensive mistake. We bought a lounge that retails for $8,000 and as soon as you sit on it the filling in the cushions flatten to nothing. We can't even lie on the chaise part of the couch because you roll off where the cushions have depressed, not too mention how disgraceful the lounge looks with flattened cushions. The company and the retailer are not interested in resolving the issue at all and suggest we should fluff the cushions after each use (which is impossible for one person to do physically due to the size on some of the cushions) or pay an additional $1200 to have the cushion inserts re-done. Disgraceful and disappointing service from an Australian manufacturer, my advice don't buy their products.

Very disappointing!
I have been so disappointed with the couch as it has great depth to it and looks beautiful, but the cushions really do ruin the pleasure of it - out of shape balls with lumpy, torn velcro, fabric pulls and knotted fringes. We got an upholsterer to put foam into the seat cushions and that is much better - gives the couch more structure so it looks neater and actually feels more comfortable to sit on. We are also looking into changing the cushion fabric. All in all a very expensive purchase for what has turned into a DIY build your own couch job!

Hideous cushions
Worst company for follow up service ever encountered, totally belligerent staff, a nightmare and went out of their way to be sarcastic and unhelpful. Not interested in servicing their clients. Awful cushions sag easily can't be plumped up. Absolutely zero help from Molmic, surely, belligerent staff 0/10.

We love it!
My husband and I both have large families and when entertaining, there seems to be an enormous amount of room! So comfortable. I take the cushions as they are - we bought the couch to use afterall! I don't use the cushions for looks but to move around and sink in & get comfy! Those of you who are unhappy with your couches, I'd be keen to buy a second! Preferably a 3 seater but a 4 seater also fine. 0407 521 510

Hard work keeping the cushions in shape.
I have a love / hate relationship with this lounge suite. I have the 3 & 4 seater plus the ottoman. I have had it for many years now, and it still looks new. Except the cushions are so hard to control. Firstly the feathers kept coming through the covers, which were really sharp and annoying. Got new covers, but then I had cushions inside covers then the outer covers, which just doesn't work. I contacted Molnic and bought new inserts which were OK for about a year, but now they are just curling up inside the covers, so it's back to the original feather ones. Lounge suits just shouldn't be this hard!
Quality workmanship, made in Melbourne, beautiful to look at.
Cushions are terrible. Molnic have not been helpful at all.

Molmic Eastwood & DIY fix...
We loved this couch at 1st sight but like everyone else the cushions were a nightmare to keep in shape and comfortable.
After a bit of trial and error we found its not the cushions but the covers that are the problem. I chose a patter and made new covers out of upholstery / curtain material (heavy cotton) and now everything is perfect. Cushions only need a quick hit every couple of weeks and this is a daily use couch. If only molmic would change its cushion cover material.
The look.

Requires work but anything of quality does
I've had my 3 seater, 4 seater and ottoman since 2003. My daughter (5) and I regularly fall asleep on one of the sofas while watching tv. Everyone complains about the cushions. Yes - they require work. The biggest thing that annoys me about the cushions are the frills..they knot up quickly and are impossible to un-knot.Once a week, I simply pull the cushions out of the covers, give them a fluff up and then re-insert. To do all 7 cushions plus the 4 base cushions takes less than 15 minutes and the couch looks brand new again. Everyone who sees m...Read more
y living area and sits on the couches comments on how comfortable they are. I love these sofas. The quality of material used on the cushions is awesome, thick and plush. If you are lazy, if you don't want to put time into taking care of your lounge or if you don't look after things..don't get this lounge. wide base, quality plush material if you don't want to maintain them, pick a cheaper simple couchSimilar opinion? Love it!!
Have had it for about 4 years, slept on it every night for one year. It's to be lounged on, so not to sit upright on. It is a workout to plump the cushions.
I much prefer Velcro to zips. It's my pride and joy and I adore it. I have the 3 and four seater.
Luxurious. Comfortable. Love the throw cushions.
Hard work to plump the sofa seats, and the covers to tend to curl a little- time will tell how much of a problem this is for me.

Expensive sofa - terrible cushions!
These cushions are a nightmare with the veclro cushion covers causing the fabric to rip and shred in no time. The whole sofa looked tatty and awful very quickly.
Need to fluff up cushions every day to keep it looking good and feeling comfortable.
Molmic was not helpful at all when we wished to order new cushions without velcro.
Very disappointing for such an expensive sofa.
When brand new it looked great and we purchased it after 6 years of searching for the perfect sofa.
Terrible cushions! Feathers need fluffing regulalry (a nightmare with velcro cushion covers!) An expensive mistake.

Terrible
I love the look of this lounge, but it is not worth the work involved to keep it looking good.
This lounge was sold to us as a beautiful, comfortable peice of furniture that we would have for many years to come, no mention was made of the constant upkeep needed for the cushions. It may sound petty to complain about plumping cushions, if only it was so easy I would be happy, but as I have stated in the above window it is an ongoing job that takes no small amout of time and it has to be done otherwise the cushions end up as tangled little balls ...Read more

Caveat any prospective emptors, this sofa should carry a health warning!
We are two 60 year old adults, no kids and we are very disappointed with our purchase - how anyone with kids or an active family would fare...
Looks fabulous, deep seat is wonderful.
OMG! The cushions are woeful. The inner cushion revolves around inside the exterior cushion cover and the corners fold inward on themselves. There is no way you can 'plump' the cushions in the usual fashion. The only way to corect the imploded inner cushion, is to open up the velcro (ve...Read more

Bad
We have had the lounge for about 4 years, and structualy it has held up (3 house moves). It comes apart in the middle (good for moving), so there is a thick velcro band that runs up the back of it to cover the join (ruff if you scratch your hand on it). The cushions, and the material, are very ordinary quality for a $4000+ lounge. The leather has remained free of major marks, which is suprising. One of the kids vomited on the base cushion - sent the cushion to the dry cleaners - and the material remained affected. Have seen this lounge on numer...Read more
ous home-type television shows from the UK and USA, so not sure how exclusive to Molmic it is. Comfortable IF you get in the correct position. Cushions make great play things for kids. Arms of lounge are very slippery to slide off onto cushions on the floor. Our 4 seater is bigger than a single bed, so have used it as one on a few occasions. From WOW to UGGGGGGGGG in 4.3 seconds. Everyone else has said it. The cushions are a nightmare to look after. With 2 kids under 7, just gave up ! Feathers stink and 4 years later, yep, they still stink ! Molmic's own P76 !Similar opinion? Looks great, very comfortable as I often fall asleep on it.
I have the 'Valvadi' with a spare loose cover.I fluff the cushions every other day to keep it comfortable. Otherwise, the base cushions get very hard. I've shared this lounge for two years with my husband, and it still looks pretty good. I love the removable covers, I change them about yearly for a differnet look and cleaning.
I'm thinking of buying another one (differnet style) to compliment it.

Which sofa are they talking about in the reviews? I am looking at purchasing a Molmic sofa and don't want to purchase and then find out it's not good quality.

Molmic Eastwood I think. Personally I love the whole Molmic range. Sounds like most of the complaints are about having to fluff the cushions - I just don't do it that often. I'd suggest going and sitting on the range - you'll either love it, or not. Hope this helps.

Completely agree. Very expensive. Looks fabulous. But not comfortable or durable. Feather spines stick through fabric, cushions lose shape, fabric tears.
