Hey Peter, not sure where you can get it fixed but they have a two year warranty so you can return to place of purchase with a receipt to get a replacement/refund.

Hi - I was never able to use it so never tested battery. It had no range outside of my son's room so was useless as a monitor. Had to buy another. Purchased Angelcare. It's not perfect but at least I can leave my son's bedroom! Motorola also has no warranty so really poor. Angelcare has 3 years.

Hi.
I have a question regarding the VOX function.
Does the parent unit vibrate if the camera detects any movements?

No it does not Vibrate at all, it also does not have VOX and it does turn on if it detects movement, it better to have the unit plugged in and charging at night this way the screens also on.to.

Are you able to turn the sound off? I don't sleep through babies grunts etc so want a monitor that I can turn the sound off and then on to see if it is a serious cry or if he is still asleep and will be able to settle himself.

I am considering purchasing the mpb36 my only concern is that I am told it only comes with 1 charger when other monitors come with 2, 1 for the baby & 1 for the parent unit, apparently on the mpb36 the camera will only last 1 he while not on charge, so does the parent unit fully charge in an hour ? Is it possible to purchase an additional charger ?

the camera does not have a battery and must stay plugged in at all times. The parent unit comes with a battery and charger. The battery on the parent unit lasts about 4 hours if the screen is off and only transmitting sound and about an hour with video. I bought my model 3 years ago so it may be different now but u have also purchased a second charger for about $30 to keep in the kitchen for plugging in the parent unit during the day.

Thanks for that I will steer clear of this monitor then, the parent unit only lasting 4hours is not good enough my current video monitor lasts 14hours when on VOX mode !

hi just wondering if anyone has had a problem with the sound not working all of a sudden? All the reviews are good here but I read reviews from the US and after around 10 months the sound stopped working on a few of the reviews

I've never had anything like that and I've owned it more than 10 months. The warranty is for 2 years so if it did I assume they would cover it. My button broke and they replace the whole handset.

I'm really just interested in the range, I often work out in the shed while bub sleeps, any experience? Also, I did really want one that I could turn off the volume. I like to check visually while sleep training otherwise I wouldn't get anywhere and go in on the slightest whimper. On the lowest sound setting, if bub was crying with the monitor right next to me, how loud would you say it would be?

The range is excellent, we use it when we go next door for dinner (in an apartment) to the neighbours house and it has full range. Im sure it would be good at keeping the signal from a shed to indoors, i've never had a problem.
Volume is always off on ours, we only use the volume when we go away and our hub is sleeping downstairs and we're upstairs a fair distance away. On the lowest setting you can easily hear even noises made by bub, if you're sleeping and the room is quiet you wouldn't ever sleep through a peep unless it's on silent setting.
we turn the volume up if we're being noisy and we might not hear her, but if it's quiet in the house volume 1 is more than enough.
highly recommend!
