This pram is ok....
We purchased the cosmopolitan recently with our first bub. This start with thought it was the best thing since sliced bread until it started to creek, became heavier to steer and the folding jams and you have to
Spin the seat around or fold as a 2 piece when they're young in the lie flat basinet mode. It doesn't handle gravel driveways well is hard to push on grass and is really not designed for walking on tar. After 3 months I've had to tighten every screw to reduce the squeaky noises. I purchased a MOuntain Buggy Urban jungle as a second pra...Read more

Versatile and lightweight - very happy!
What made us buy the cosmopolitan is the fact it is the only pram that lies flat, you don't need to purchase a separate bassinet. It's also lightweight as you are lifting it a lot and collapses easily. Easy to manoeuvre and steer over various terrain. We had bub lying flat for first 10 weeks but now she likes to be sitting up more and there are different seating positions. The under storage area isn't easily accessible in the bassinet position but easy to access now seat is more upright. Overall very happy with function and looks.

We love it!
We have used our pram for a year now and have had no problems. The features we we liked are that the bassinets converts into a seat so we did not need any extra pieces. I live in the inner city and use the pram every day and find it easy to push across all terrains. The only negative is that it is quite large when folded, but we have only a small sedan and it fits into the boot. Overall, we are very happy with the pram and I would recommend it to others.

Amazing pram
I love this pram, so practicle! It converts into so many different positions! The fact that it can be a bassinet is amazing! It manovours well and I find it really light and super easy to fold. Compared to other prams I think it's a very good price too

Great pram - stroller and bassinet in one
Have owned this pram for 6 months now and we are very happy with it. The fact that the bassinet converts to a seat all in one is by far the best feature as means when you are out and about with bub you can easily lie him down flat for a sleep once he gets tired. There is also no need to have to purchase or store a separate bassinet.
We find it manoeuvres well and my little one also loves looking out the mesh part of the hood when out for walks. It's also great that it can face either way.
The basket is a good size and easy to access. I have ...Read more

Happy with our choice
Bought this pram after testing lots out in the shop...this was the only one I could still manoeuvre one handed with a 15kg baby in it within this price range.
I like the fact the flat bed meant we didn't need to purchase a bassinet as well, the seat can be forward or rear facing at any age, the basket space is large (other mums comment that they have a small basket), easy to collapse without having to step over into the collapse rather it does it on the spot you are standing in, easy to put up from collapsed position, extendable hood, comfor...Read more
table handles, silent peep view window. I take the pram mostly around pavements but also over grass with ease and it will drag backwards on sand or deep gravel so great if very short distances. Down sides are the noisy hood when being put up or down (less of an issue now bub is 4 months as I know when he is tired but trickier when a baby, the harness seemed a bit big when moving bub from flat to slightly reclined position at 3 months, less of an issue now he's chunked up a bit, it has less suspension than other prams but my bub loves movement and bumps as rocks him to sleep so not a big deal for us, the harness cannot be removed for the flat bed position but I didn't find this an issue and would always strap him in even as a baby as thought (heaven forbid) if the pram got knocked somehow (cyclist round corners etc) it would protect him a bit!Similar opinion? Love it.
Have had this pram for 12 months and love the versatility. No need for extra pieces like bassinets. The seat is so easy to convert from bassinet to seat, forward facing to rear facing. Easy to fold and light. Love the basket underneath, well reinforced and clearance is great so can squeeze quit a lot in it for that supposed quick trip into the supermarket.
Have used it on and off road and no problems.

Disappointed
I've always been a massive supporter of mountain buggy products and my husband often used MB products for complex seating systems with children in wheel chairs when he worked for a company in New Zealand. We brought the cosmopolitan and for us it has been sadly a really poor choice. Marketed as an urban pram it struggles getting around my local suburban streets and curbs. The pram really rattles as you walk. It is very shaky and feels unsteady when you push it. The 'frogs legs' at the front do not seem to offer any suspension for everyday ...Read more
use. It struggles with anything off road, grass at the parks, gravel etc. The idea that the seat doubles as a bassinet does not work for us as we cannot get the 'bassinet' flat and the amount of shaking of the pram when you walk simply unsettles our baby. You also cannot move the straps away and the whole bassinet feels flimsy. Yes it looks pretty and the colours are nice but it's a really unpractical pram movement wise. The fold is easy but it does take up a lot of space in the car boot - even with an SUV which other reviewers have mentioned. I cannot see this pram having a long life as it simply feels cheap and certainly does not meet the expectations I have of mountain buggy products. A poor choice for us it may work for others. It's been an expensive mistake for our first pram purchase and we would not recommend this model to others.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very happy with purchase
We bought this pram after a LOT of research and trying every pram in Baby Bunting (folding down, opening up, drive around, lifting up frame, etc) and we're pretty happy with it. We ended up buying a Valco Baby Vee Bee Cocoon to go inside the pram in lie-flat mode for our newborn as the straps are not able to be removed and we often like to pop him in for a sleep while we walk and a five point harness seemed to be a bit of overkill.
If folds up and down well, though occasionally needs a good shove to fold down. The latch that stops it unfoldi...Read more
ng makes lifting it into the boot very easy (the lack of this on the current Bugaboo Camelon was the main reason we didn't choose that pram). The turning circle is great and it handles rough terrain (cracked and lumpy footpaths) very well. Our baby likes being in there and often drifts off to sleep. We also use with a Peg Perego car capsule and adaptor and that is very simple and makes trips in the car a snap. The main drawback is the size of the frame. It occupies nearly all of our car boot and we have an SUV bought for big boot space! No idea how anyone would use it in a smaller car or sedan. Also the width of the frame has been a problem on one occasion with getting through a supermarket check out. Sturdsy, easy to steer, easy to fold up and down, good travel adaptor system Wide base, large frame.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Walked into the store cash in hand, until...
...I discovered just how flimsy this pram was! I heard they "rocked" a bit, but it felt like there was some bolts missing or something. It felt... cheap.
I also noticed the seat was quite small, I really don't see anyone using this past 2 or 3 years old.
So I tried for 15 minutes at Baby Bunting to see if it was just me being inept, before the salesman said that it was normal and they had gotten a few returns. It was about then that my husband dragged me and my fistful of cash away from the "extremely expensive flimsy thing" lol
So, 2 mo...Read more

Good pram but not great
I bought this for my son last year before he was born after doing lots of reviews for prams. I love the fact that it has good wheels/suspension that can maneuver over different surfaces and the fact you don't have to buy a separate bassinette is a bonus. We got the pram in turquoise and the pram looks great. The main thing that annoys me is when we recently converted the pram from the bassinette to seat position for my son, when we strapped him in, the seat belt around his shoulder even when adjusted to the shortest/tightest length it was still...Read more
loose around him and he isn't that small. We even took it to the shop and asked the shop assistant and she said that most other prams allows the belt to be adjust around the hip area (in order to tighten the shoulder section of the seat belt) but this one doesn't. So right now until he gets bigger/fatter he doesn't look comfortable or sit securely in the pram. Look of it, maneuvers well, all in one (bassinette to seat) Seat belts not tight enough, accessories are pricey and it adds to the total cost, bulky when in bassinette function putting the pram in/out carSimilar opinion? Love, love, love it!!
This pram is fantastic! I can't fault it. I have had at least 6 prams and only 2 kids and this is by far the best pram ever! My best friend has even bought one and loves hers too. It's smooth to steer, the bassinet and toddler seat all in one is such a great bonus. It's very easy to put up and down.
The basinette and toddler seat are all in one. Easy to put up and down.

Great pram
I bought the mountain buggy cosmopolitan for my little boy, born in October 2013 and love it. I find it very smooth and easy to handle, and it's a nice looking pram too. My son is now mostly sitting in the reclined upright position, but up until he was 3 months old, he was always in the bassinet position and had no problems with it. I purchased the suncover and cosy toe separately, but when you consider that most prams charge extra for an additional bassinet, the cost was quite good. I like the four wheel design, as it is a very balanced pram a...Read more

The storage underneath is great, but you can't fit much in when in the bassinet position if you're buying groceries. Once they're upright, the storage room is much better. Overall, a fantastic pram that always attracts compliments from others because its pretty! Easy to use, great tyres and not too heavy are all bonuses. Great Flexible Pram
I love the flexibility of the Mountain Buggy Cosmopolitan. It is so handy to be able to switch between seat and bassinet when bubs gets tired and needs a nap. I love that the seat can face both ways, has a super generous storage compartment, is very light compared to other prams in this style and packs away pretty easily. I also really love the denim look fabric. There are a few things we have not been 100% happy with though, the front wheel suspension seems to be just for decoration (springs don't move at all, even when force is applied by han...Read more
d), the straps are not removable, which means when in bassinet configuration you need to either strap up your newborn infant when lying flat (which is very hard if they are swaddled!) or purchase a mat to put down on top of the straps so that bubs won't get tangled. We did the latter. There is also no tray table available yet which is a bit disappointing.1 comment

Mountain Buggy Cosmopolitan
This stroller caught my eye and after test driving this as well as other brands, the Mountain Buggy Cosmopolitan was the one for my family. It is super simple to use, folding like a dream with the click of a couple of buttons, easy for the grandparents and for my hubby too. It has a large storage basket underneath, now I can take my parents bag with me and store in the basket underneath instead of having to leave it in the car as it wouldn't fit in my last pram. It looks really sleek and cool thanks to its dark denim exterior, I went for the st...Read more
one colour interior. It has an extendable sun shade, perfect for summer trips out and about. Most importantly though it converts with ease between forward facing, rear facing (a must for me) and by simply releasing a couple of straps it also converts into a lie flat bassinet type position (for newborns/infants)... So no having to purchase a separate piece!! (even though you can buy a separate super luxe bassinet for the cosmo, its new out too and is a little deeper then the lie flat, but really no need. I do find the lie flat is a tad shaky but it is very sturdy and my baby has had no issues thus far, but perhaps the luxe bassinet separate piece may help to alleviate the slight shake) and for those babies with reflux the lie flat can be positioned on a slight incline (by adjusting the straps I believe) well so I was told, please check this little fact though). The only downside for me I can find is that it does not cater for a second seat, however it does have a stroller board option that clips to the back of the buggy. I am sorry I didn't purchase this stroller earlier, my baby is now 4 months old. Simple, stylish and very clever!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great look, but shakes the baby
It looks great. I chose it for being convertible, because wanted the bassinet for my newborn. It does drive smoothly and easily on any surface (I tried shopping centres, roads, and parks with grass), BUT I have to slow down at every little crack in the road, or a little rock, so it doesn't shake and wake up the baby. Because if I go with a regular pace, the baby keeps spreading her hands at every little bump. I had a different brand pram with my first child, it was times cheaper and didn't have these problems at all.
Looks great, bassinet mode, easy to drive
The suspension is useless. The baby shakes a lot even when driving on sidewalks, it gets worse in parks. A little pocket on the side for holding keys and phone would be nice too.

Hi there. Does it just shake the baby on the bassinet setting or all settings? We were looking into buying this pram but a little concerned about the shaking. Megan

around. It is a good pram. The baby looks very content when in it. A good bonus is that I can stuff all the groceries in the basket. But there are a few things that make me want to change it for something else. It's hard to steer it with only one hand. The wheel base is rather wide, so no narrow shop aisles for us. And it does take lots of space in the boot. So I can't say I'm all happy with it. I think I'll continue with it for a few more months, and then will go for something smaller and lighter.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

This buggy is an absolute dream to use. It drives smoothly and effortlessly - its just an all round great buggy. The ability to use it with three modes without having to get any extra attachments is awesome, and it was surprisingly easy to change between settings. Once you've done it once, its super easy. e arms tangled in. Before getting this buggy I knew of Mountain Buggy as a quality brand that is known for being durable and highly manoeuvrable and I now have experienced it for myself. I can zip round the mall and crowded places smoothly (no clunky movements with this buggy) and quite happily take it for a walk to our local park. At first I thought that the grab bar looks too high but when a little person is in it, it is actually the ideal height. The gate style of the grab bar is really handy for getting my little guy in and out of the buggy, and it even comes off easily if you don't want to use it. All in all I'm really happy with the cosmopolitan and my hubby loves it too. He was quite proud to push around a super stylish buggy - it certainly makes other buggies look plain! Maybe preemptive, but I LOVE this stroller!
I bought this stroller yesterday and am absolutely smitten so far. It has all the functions which I really wanted and more. It reverses in all positions (i.e. lying flat, and two more upright positions), so baby can face you which was important to me, especially in the early days.
It has an "absolute flat" position, not just really reclined but bassinet style for newborns, without having to purchase any additional attachments (i.e. carriers, bassinet, etc), which is REALLY simple to operate. This means pretty much everything you need is inc...Read more
luded without any expensive extras. There are footmuff attachments (or will be soon apparently) and storm/sun covers which are available as extras, but they're negligible in cost comparatively. It's also super sexy, for a pram! I got the Stone model, and they all come with an external denim finish which is nice and different. The Cosmopolitan is fairly light, at 11.9kg, and very easy to collapse/fold. There are protective "rest point" kinda things also for when it's folded to protect fabrics and the aluminium chassis from scuffing which is great. The shopping basket is nice and accessible compared to other prams, and holds up to 10kg with steel support bars underneath to support the basket fabric.5 comments

until a couple of weeks ago when I was leaving mothers group and got stuck in an open-air car park in the rain as the stroller wouldn't collapse using the technique which had always previously worked. The left hand steel pole simply wouldn't feed into the next one down to shorten the stroller, and I was stuck for about ten minutes trying to fold it down. Eventually it succeeded and I put it out of my mind as a one off thing. Not to be so, unfortunately. It has now happened again twice since. As you can imagine, when you want to collapse a stroller it's generally because you want to leave somewhere and put it in your car boot. Not being able to do this for in excess of ten minutes each time due to a fault with the stroller makes it very frustrating, especially when you have a screaming child.Mountain Buggy P.Mountain Buggy

Just wondering as I do a fair bit of walking on both pavement and gravel, do the tyres begin to look worn after regular use on gravel? As the tyres are made of plastic not air filled rubber. Really love the look of this pram and the fact it can be used as a bassinet but wondering how the tyres fare.
