Choose MSC only if you want your Holiday Ruined.
Save yourselves the disappointment, even if the itinerary and the price look tempting - don't do it. Don't book MSC. I wish we hadn't !!!!!!
My partner and I spent 20 nights on the south bound transatlantic crossing on MSC DIVINA which sailed from Genoa on 5-11-2019. We (41 and 42) were accompanied by 1 set of parents (64 and 65) and 1 couple who are friends our age. I researched thoroughly before choosing this cruise. Our primary reason to select this journey on MSC Divina was the brilliant itinerary. I read the reviews and noted the negative...Read more

NOTHING ENJOYABLE ON THIS CRUISE
If you want to have a quiet drink, enjoy the entertainment, relax by the pool or enjoy fine dining, MSC DIVINA cruising is NOT for you.
We have been on many cruises and chose MSC because we incorrectly thought it was a level of luxury and service about the average - WRONG!!
This was the worst cruise we have ever been on.
NOISE: Our biggest issue was the extreme level of noise constantly in all areas of the ship. All announcements are made extremely loudly in about 6 languages, some are very lengthy, this drove us crazy. Some important announcem...Read more
ents come directly into your cabin. The passengers were mainly Italian, French and Spanish. Having travelled in all three countries several times, we understand these nationalities are traditionally loud but the level of noise through the entire cruise was excessive and very unpleasant. Also most of these passengers were very rude, pushing and shoving with no consideration towards other passengers. Regularly when the elevators stopped and the doors commenced to open, someone inside would push the close door button preventing other passengers from entering the elevator. There were always very long waits for the elevators. This ship has passengers disembarking and embarking at every port. This makes the boarding procedure efficient, we were pleasantly surprised our cabin was available around 1.00pm. The DOWN SIDE, there is a safety drill every afternoon for those who have embarked that day, the announcements for the safety drill come into the cabin and throughout the ship repeated 6 times or so in different languages, one hour before, 15 minutes before and 5 minutes before. More excessive noise!! One afternoon these was a test of the evacuate the ship highest level alarm, with no notice to passengers, which also was broadcast into our cabin. DINING: There are two huge dining rooms and both are VERY overcrowded, the tables are very close together, there is a limited number of small tables for 2 or 4 persons and these are mixed with the very large tables and the noise is unbearable. We had fixed dining at the second sitting that commenced at 9.30pm, we did not sit at the same table twice. On checking regarding our dining we were advised that we were at a table with 3 ladies, we requested to be moved as my husband did not wish to sit every night at a table of four ladies. Night 1 we were sat at a table for 8. There was 6 at the table that night.

NOT VERY NICE
It all started with a trip to The Flight Centre for them to recommend our first ever cruise in Europe.
It was suggested by them to take an all-inclusive Aurea package on the MSC Sinfonia Cruise on the Adriatic leaving from Venice as it cruises through the night and arrives at the destination the next morning for you to explore for a day in each port, in this case Split, Dubrovnik, Mykonos, Santorini and Ancona with ‘one’ day at sea, in a cabin suite to die for with a balcony, mini bar, drinks package. The Aurea package also included when you wa...Read more

Drinks package
Wasn’t a real bad cruise but very average, bars were full between 6 and 8pm impossible to get a seat, Inside cabin was good for the price. Dinning was very good, food and waiters excellent. When in port it is better to take a tour, otherwise you will have to queue for 1hour to get off the ship.We purchased a drink package, but beware! All the drinks in the package were not available in most of the bars. The package says “ drink all you want where you want, in total freedom “ Not much use if most bars did not have the drinks in your package!! Sports bar had a bowling alley ? Impossible to hear above the noise of the bowling balls crashing into the pins!!

Cruise ship was beautiful, Staff were terrible.
A few years ago we went to a cruise expo in Adelaide, Australia and came across this cruise line. We were so impressed that we added it to our 'bucket list' of things we'd like to do. We love cruising, this was our 5th for the year.
We decided to go to Italy for our wedding anniversary, first time in 16 years we have been on a holiday with out our kids. We of course decided to add an MSC cruise into our short 7 day holiday in Italy, 1 night on the Preziosa and 2 nights on the Magnifica.
The ships are stunning, walking on board our firs...Read more
t impression was WOW. The ships were always spotless. The facilities are probably the best we have experienced and we have been on about 15 cruises in the past 5 years. However the people that should be their greatest assets are the ones who let them down. The cabin stewards on both ships, no idea who they were because the only conversation I had with one of them was about getting out of the cabin so he could get it ready for the next guests. Did not introduce themselves, first time on this cruise line and the only info or communication we got was a piece of paper shoved under our door. The staff in general were very unfriendly, never smiled or spoke to us unless we were buying or they were trying to sell something. Usually we can start conversations with staff by asking where they are from, only 1 staff member in 4 days would stop long enough to have a conversation, some occasionally would have a brief one, but make it clear by their body language they didn't want to be talking and got away as soon as they could. We thought maybe there was a valid reason, eg culture, rules, strict time frames etc, but staff would come and have lengthy conversations with other guests of their culture and treated us as if we were invisible. We had an issue with our laundry not being done, no problem in our eyes, things get over looked, we rang reception and explained the situation, they said they would get to it ASAP. They never did, which seemed silly because it was like $7 to wash 1 item of clothing.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Beware MSC Cruises Fails At Quality Hospitality
As an Australian traveling to Europe, it is a long and expensive holiday to take. I was so excited to be visiting the Mediterranean with my family for 4 weeks but the dreams of having a restful, stress free holiday was not meant to happen on board MSC’s Fantasia.

I have been advised ALL DRINKING WATER on MSC cruise ships must be paid for by the passenger. We are considering a 29 day cruise on MSC Orchestra, Genoa to Durban late 2022. It this advice actually true?

Just letting you know I’ve always had to buy water on the cruises I’ve been on with other cruise lines.
