135 calories. But why water? I think it would make a somewhat unpalatable drink, hence difficult to make drinking it a regular habit. To enjoy what you have is important! Cheers

Yeah far better with rice milk or skim milk. Tastes quite ordinary with water.

Is this a good product to gain weight?

Sandy S.

Possibly. It's common sense: I would assume if you add other kilojoules-rich ingredients, it will help you put on weight. If you were to use full-cream milk, add a dollop of cream, and some fresh fruit, the combination should be nourishing and delicious. If you are trying to put on weight, I would however recommend to do this only once a day, perhaps for breakfast, and have other 'normal' meals during the day. Cheers

Is this good for weight loss as well?

It's my belief that if you replace 2 meals such as breakfast and lunch the way I have previously suggested (1 cup low or no fat fluid such as milk, soy, or almond, 2 level tbsp of powder, a few drops of chocolate flavoring or other), followed by a light dinner such a sensible portion of protein cooked in minimal fat/ steamed with vegetables or a salad, you will lose weight. Most of the flavored meal replacement shakes are far too sweet or have far too much sugar for my taste and that's why I have found this protein powder invaluable.

I took it initially to support me during depression, when I had lost a lot of weight due to lack of appetite. I now take it as a dietary support as I transfer to a vegetarian /vegan diet. I don't consider it as a weight loss product, but it helps as I restructure my overall diet to maintain weight. Hope this helps. Sara

It doesn't specifically say, except 'no artificial colours or flavours' and ingredients are 'natural soy protein isolate'.

It says it is made in Australia from imported and local ingredients. Australian owned.

Hey Tor I have one per day. This suits my needs. Also it helps boost my immune system. I have not been sick for ages and I have asthma. I think it is the vitamins and minerals that are in the powder. I'm not sure if the soy protein is good for men. It's great for women though. Hope this helps.

Is it a body building supplement??

4 answers
Eva.Z
Eva.Z

Hi Ishmael it is mostly aimed at the health benefits for the body. If it benefits the energy levels most likely extra exercise will help build muscle up. If you plan to body build with weight lifting there are many products out there which I haven't looked into. I guess I can say here that amino acids with L in front are synthetic. It depends what you are looking for. Cheers Eva

So what you're saying is that it can be used as a supplement, but apart from this product there is also other body building product/supplement which it can be very helpful for my body building process...

Hi I on the tub it says "for growth and repair of muscules" so I would guess so. Hope that helps. J.
