I'm interested in buying the Navman MiVUE750, could you please let me know how long the battery last before the camera needs to be recharged?

It doesn't its only on when car is on. If your want parking mode you need to buy a seperate acessary to hold charge for 80$ that might last a few hours while car is off.

Hi bellbrandys,

We appreciate your interest in purchasing our MiVUE750 WIFI.

Tom is right. The device is designed to function only when connected to a constant power source. The built-in battery’s function is to allow the device time to save video files to the memory card in the event of the power supply being suddenly severed.

If you wish to utilize the park mode feature, you will need to install a power box such as the MiVue Smart Box hardwired to your car’s battery. We recommend that you have an auto electrician to install the MiVue Smart Box. You may click one of the links below to purchase the MiVue Smart Box.

The Navman Mivuepro app (Android) connects to my MiVue 750 by WiFi and I can download the videos but the Live View option does not work. The icon is "greyed out". Any ideas?

Hi Denis,

Thanks for posting your query.

The Live View feature of the MiVUE Pro app is not available for your device. This is due to your device has a screen already to adjust the camera angle. The live view is for other dash cameras with different platform. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi. Is it possible to have this dashcam tell you when you exceed a speed zone or advise you about safety camera's ahead and school zones etc?

Hi Kaylene,

Thanks for posting your query.

The MiVue750 Wifi only have Headlight and fatigue alert. Our devices like Mivue 790 WIFI, Mivue 860DC WIFI TIYRE and Mivue 840 DC have the safety camera alert.

However, if you also wish to be alerted when you exceeded the posted speed limit and entered a school zone, you may want to check our combo devices like DRIVEDUO 2.0, DRIVE DUO SUV AND BIG RIG DUO. These devices have those features as well as the safety camera alert.

Hi Vic S,

That is a good question.

I’m happy to inform you that you may transfer your recordings to your computer via MiVue Manager. To do this, please refer to the link below:

I connected the MiVue 750 to the power plug but after several hours, when I disconnected, the unit shut down and when switched back on, after displaying the startup screen, it shuts off. Does the unit not sustain a battery charge? My MiVue 660 provided enough battery power to review the recorded videos etc. but not my new MiVue 750. Should the 750 battery have more life than 5 seconds?

Hi Denis Y.

Our latest dash cam device is now designed to function only when connected to a constant power source. The battery’s function is to allow the device time to save the last video file to the SD card in the event of the power supply being suddenly severed.

If you wish to utilize the park mode feature, you will need to install a power box such as the MiVue Smart Box hardwired to your car’s battery. We recommend that you have an auto electrician to install the MiVue Smart Box. You may click one of the links below to purchase the MiVue Smart Box.

MiVue dash cam cannot operate the Parking mode feature without a Smart box connected or other hardwired power source.

Ive connected my MiVue750 wifi directly into the use port on the vehicle, but all the camera says is connected to USB. Id like to use the USB port instead of the lighter power source, is this possible and how do I make the unit operative?

Hi Dale M.,

Please note to use only the supplied in-car charger (not the USB cable to computer) to charge the unit in the car. USB cable emits lower than required power compared to the car charger. Due to that, it's possible that your unit is now recognizing the USB cable as connected to computer only and not for charging.

Hope this help. Otherwise, feel free to contact our support team on [email protected]

I tried running a MiVue750 on Park Mode. Installed a 20k mAh Lithium battery pack (huge capacity) to supply the cam (basically an uninterruptible power supply as Navman suggests). Turned on Park Mode/Auto and observe. Works OK for about 12 hrs of parking and driving - then the cam just appears to "go to sleep"? Battery pack is still almost full. Disconnecting power supply from camera makes it work while driving - but when I park camera sleeps again and will not wake up without power being disconnected from camera? Have done hard resets - have latest firmware installed. Yes - the 32GB microSD card is compatible checked by Harvey Norman tech support. Just continues same pattern. If I connect normal power supply direct from cig lighter and disengage Park Mode - camera works fine (but this is not recording any parked events - which is why I bought 2 of these cameras from Harvey Norman NZ a couple of days ago). I can only think its constantly freezing after about 12 hrs? Why? Is there something I don't understand here?

Hi Sashimi,

Thank you for your question. I am very sorry for the delayed response.

Has there been any charge to this issue in the last few months?
It is quite odd that after 12hrs it just seems to stop.

there are quite a few things that could possibly cause this, and it may require some in-depth troubleshooting. could you please private message us with your contact details, so we can have one of our local senior tech specialists contact you to discuss this further?

in the meantime, Please make sure the memory card you are using is a compatible card. We have found some cards are NOT compatible with ALL Dash Cameras (Such as SanDisk Ultra, SanDisk Extreme and Samsung Evo cards). For information on this, please see the link below:

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

haha - they are crap!
I'm not tech un-savvy and have others experts look at the problem.
No fix apparent........

Gave them to my daughter for real drive time use only - thats all they are good for.
Could have bought cheaper for far less.

I will never buy a Navman product again.

Thanks for your quick attention to my issues.
