4k is only 20fps
Very annoying that they don't publish the framerate. To get 30fps (which is average - I would've hoped for 1080p @60fps for a 4k dashcam) you need to set it at 1080p or 1440p. 1600p is 25fps.
Whenever you turn on wifi, it sets the recording resolution to 1080p (even if you stay on the menu without recording). Turning off wifi does not go back to higher resolution (even if it was selected previously).
Video quality is ok - probably can't expect much for the price (dashcams are quite expensive to get good ones according to Choice).

s really great though. No fiddly with 2 tightening mechanisms like another similarly priced dashcam we have. It's just firmly fixed in a ball socket - still fully adjustable but very stable (it needs to be though, because the buttons are firm too). Mivue "Pro" app does not have a feature to manually check for updates for the dashcam. You have to hope that it prompts you if there is an update - you never know. Mivue software for viewing recordings shows a black screen with audio on my computer. Windows media player plays the recordings, but you can't continue to play the next video, and dragging the time/fast forwarding doesn't show the frames until it plays again.Purchased in December 2021 at The Good Guys Physical store.

I installed the K-Lite codec pack by standard installation and restarted my computer, but the video is still black. I can play videos fine with Windows Media player even before installing the codec pack. (However, I wanted to try another program which has better seek functionality, where I can go frame by frame by dragging the progress bar).

isn't much better than the Navman 750 wifi it displays/records 2160/1600 but most sd cards can't handle it on replay used scan disk ultra and extreme series yet to find a sd card that can cope with the 2160/1600 setting. when you replay it you get a green screen a few secs and blurs if its recorded in 1600/2160 on some of the replay wifi on requires it to switch back 1080HD. So, save yourself $70 and stick with the 750 with or with out wifi.
Purchased in February 2021 at JB Hi-Fi for $270.00.

Regarding the different resolution vs frame rate settings and the resolution not changing back to your previous resolution setting when WiFi is turned off, I will pass that feedback to our product development team. Regarding the MiVue App providing updates. If you are prompted to update in the app, this means there is an update available. You can manually check if there is an update available by selecting the "Person" icon (bottom right of the screen) and selecting "Update" Regarding the issue with MiVue Manager showing a black screen, your PC may require a Codec pack.
