Brilliant unit and customer service
Whilst this is just 2 weeks old and yet to cope with extended colder periods it HAS copped one VERY hot day that tested the safety cutoff system and a couple of cooler cloudy days. The day that went over 38'C for ~3hrs caused a minor issue that concerned me but a detailed and prompt response with plausible explanations soothed my concerns that the system may have been operating outsides its rated parameters. FYI- it was not boiling hot in my tank as was my concern, but simply installation air left over and/or the dissolved gasses being released...Read more
when pressure dropped from bleeding water off. The large volume held within the 340L tank can generate these gasses at elevated temperatures and make a ruckus when a tap is turned on or you bleed water from the PTR valve. After looking around and wondering about these units I began asking a LOT of questions and received prompt pertinent answers that match the 5 star reviews I had seen. They have a small market share in WA as I understand it but getting a unit here was not a drama despite all the lock-down and boarder issues which I was concerned would make us have cold showers for months! Some spares were sent to the regular plumbing company but I was not restricted to using that company so went with my local 'known to me' plumber. I had to make 2x sturdy cross members to be able to reuse my old Solar 'side mount' frame and keep the tubes presenting North but due to the nature of the collection surface I believe this will give me <15% efficiency gain. As I understand it if these are mounted flattish, or even facing angled East/West, the fact that the collection surface is round means the angle of the Sun is less important than with flat plates because the same area is always 'showing'. The spacing between the tubes also means that even at ~30 degrees elevation, the Sun is still hitting all the black collecting surface, (so that covers our lowest winter angle- in Perth at least). The install went well and I have only used the power on THAT night which took ~1.5hrs to get to a shower temperature from cold. It is a 30 tube, 315L, electric boost and regularly gets to its "top out" temperature. This is when the bottom of the tank reaches their pre-determined safety cutoff of 60'C. the top of tank, (I measure at the PTR valve), is regularly at 70 or 75'C so plenty of hot in there to mix with cold on the way out. Being of an analytical chemistry, inventive, inquisitive nature/profession, I had lots to ask/bug people over and was met with real answers and prompt replies. My only recommendation is that you make SURE your plumbers take care with the tube insertion procedure as it is possible to cause efficiency loss for the term of it's natural life if they don't!- (OR you just pull them out and inspect for piece of mind).... Shhhhh(?). The Metal Bulb section at the top ends are a little flexible as they are braised onto the required thinner Copper tube just below. EACH bulb must be inspected, possibly adjusted in angle gently, lubricated with the 'heat transfer paste', and then slid in carefully while all the time 'feeling' for the lowest resistance angle by rotating. If this is not done there is a chance the bulb and attached heat tube can be moved down inside the glass. This will then present less surface area inside the heat exchange manifold for the water to be heated with..... a little care for 100% efficiency please plumbers. If you ARE brave/inquisitive enough to do this, the other trick is to follow instruction on the "use detergent" method BUT rub your finger around the RUBBER seal section with the detergent spray AS WELL as spraying the glass tube a little. The rubber tweak gets rid of some manufacturing 'powder' and makes insertion way smoother to gauge that bulb alignment feel I talked of. Also, SO glad to get the ~half ton of old solar system off my roof! Just getting the old empty tank OFF was a nearly killer and I could see it was putting a big bend/load on my Tin so who knows what it was doing to my roof members. I am positive we will need to cover some up for Summer or work out a way to 'heat exchange away' all this glorious XS heat. Think I need to build that Spa that's been a hole in the ground for 10+ years! I did not list a price here but they are comparable or cheaper than the competitors and I will get over $1800 back for the STC credits. Oh, another FYI is, I paid a bit under $2k for the install but NO idea if this is good, bad or indifferent. It was not just a "like for like" unit, and because I never had a tank on the ground before, the water lines/'T' offs and power running had to come as extras. I just went with the Bud I know who is super local, and like the team at Neopower, willing to help and friendly!Purchased in March 2021.

Excellent job
I recently replaced my old gas hot water system with a Neopower flat panel gas boosted solar system. Neopower were very professional from quoting through to installation. Matthew the installer was very thorough, helpful and informative. So far the performance is excellent. We don't notice it is there and we have plenty of environmentally friendly hot water. I have no hesitation recommending Neopower.

Great product! Awesome service!
From initial consultation, through to installation, the service provided by Neopower has been great. We are located in Melbourne and the Neopower Solar Hot Water system is well suited to our family of four. Hot water a plenty. Have turned on the booster mid April. Very happy with our purchase.

Should of done it earlier
This electric solar hot water system has been in use for just over a year. Since that time we have used our booster for around one month during a real cold spell in winter. It has saved us a fortune (we had a gas hot water heater before). One regret is that we did not install it earlier.

Out with the old...in with the new
When my old electric hot water system started leaking I decided to investigate alternative hot water systems and after months of research I decided on a gas boosted solar hot water system using evacuated tubes. Neopower seemed to be offering the best quality and price so I went ahead last May 2018. This turned out to be the best decision I could have made - Neopower made everything so easy and the installation went totally smoothly! I ended up with 25 tubes, 26L Rinnai Gas Booster and a 250L Tank which has proven to be fully adequate and very e...Read more
fficient. I switched off my gas booster at the beginning of Dec 2018 and have had consistently running hot water to date (24/01/19). My power bill has dropped by almost 50% and it is great having a shower knowing it is the sun that is providing the hot water! In winter the gas booster kicked in perfectly without any glitches. I am one very satisfied customer and glad I made the change to solar. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Neopower for their customer service and fuss free installation by Matthew. Thank you.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best decision
So far so good the power consumption in the the 1st week is unbelievable, we have gone from using 30 to 40 kwhs a day to under 10 . We have hot water all year round with the gas assist we never have to worry about running out. It actually looks better on the roof than most and the price was much better. anytime I needed to know anything from Neopower themselves they have been ever so helpful and the guys we bought and had it fitted by very helpful and nice. With victorias extra $1000 it was a no brainer. Extremely happy customers here.

Neopower Hot Water Service.
We had an electric solar boosted installed by Neo in 2011. The system works wonderfully well in summer to the point where I can turn off the electric boost and realise quite a good saving on the quarterly bill. Just recently, we had a slight leaking problem with the hot water service. we reported the problem to Neo and within 3 working days we had a brand new hot water tank installed. They had'nt had this problem before and stood by their product with outstanding service. We are very happy with the system and the professionalism of Neo.

Surprisingly quality system and good price
I was after a solar hot water system to replace my old electric water tank which was about 16 years old and consumed lots of electricity. I received several quotes after made enquiries on the internet, and found out the evacuated tube system are particularly good for its high efficiency. Sales person from Neopower contacted me promptly and send an installer to a do free site inspection. I decided to give it a try because he gave me a quite attractive price. Installer was very helpful in explaining everything, and when I asked him about Neopower...Read more
system, he said it’s a quite reliable system and he used it for his father’s house. All went well after I decided to purchase their system. Now it has been 8 months and I am very happy with my current electricity bills.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Neopower Gas Boosted SHW
Had an old electric unit in the roof (over 20-years old) and decided I was going to upgrade to a new gas boosted SHW system. After doing a bit of searching I came across Neopower Solar Hot Water, so I contacted them. Though they explained that they are the wholesaler, they still were able to arrange for one of their plumbing contractors to conduct a site visit & quote for install. As such they offer me a price for supply & installation of a new SHW system - 250L Gas Boosted SHW with 25 Evacuated Tubes & Rinnai s20 gas booster, and would also ta...Read more
ke care of the rebate paperwork. I am writing this now as I have had the system nearly 2-years and it's fantastic, hardly any boosting required. With 15-year warranty on the solar collector and at a better price for similar quality than other similar products on the market, I would recommend them to anyone.Similar opinion? Excellent solar hot water system, happy to recommend to others
I was looking for solar hot water system in the last few months, and have compared many brands. I have found evacuated tube solar collector is better than the flat panels. There are few companies can supply evacuated tube solar hot water with 15 years warranty. Compare with others, I have found Neopower solar hot water staff are very kind and willing to explain to me everything and not push for sales. And their price is $400-500 cheaper than similar quality systems. After installation, I have seen a big difference on my power bill. It is really a good investment for me. I am very happy to recommend it to all my friends.
