Convenient & Fun - Husband obsessed
I bought the Nintendo Switch for my husband. He has always been a gamer and I don't mind the more basic games like mario kart. The switch is a brilliant and fast unit. Only problem is he never gets off the thing. I suppose I did want him to enjoy it though...

Love the Switch!
I was given the Switch for a gift a little while ago and I love it! I love that I can use it as a handheld device, I can take it with me if I want to and I can leave it connected to play on the TV. The kids love it too and they enjoy playing a few different games with or without me.
When being used as a portable device with the 2 sides/controllers in hand, I do find the controller is a little small and takes a bit of getting used to, otherwise it is ok. I wouldn't play for hours like that though, probably a good thing.
There are more and more games being released so there is always something to choose from. Great little console that doesn't take up a huge amount of space.

The console I never knew I always wanted.
It’s a console I can take with me, allowing me to continue the experience I have on the couch anywhere I happen to be.
It also effectively allows 2-player gaming right out of the box; and this thing is a haven for local multiplayer gaming.
Might not be the most powerful hardware in the world, but I’ll be damned if it hasn’t provided some of the my most memorable and enjoyable gaming experiences of the past 30 years.

Very limited good games
Purchased for kids so they wouldn't play fortnight as often. Games purchased mario kart. Mario odyssey. Zelda and a couple more. The mobile hand held unit is fantastic. The controllers are a little small. Load times are fantastic.
Kids played it for around 2 weeks and went back to the ps4.
Save yourself the money and just buy a ps4.

My horrible switch:
My switch is messed up. The reason for this is because it doesn’t connect to my tv anymore no matter what I do to try and fix. The switch for me is just messed up. The Nintendo switch is the worst console ever!!!! No regrets in saying that! I would have the ps4 or any of the xbox’s.

Love, love, love!
I love my Switch, and it's probably one of the best purchases I've made to date. I understand that it is very pricey, and price may be the deciding factor as to whether or not to purchase - however sales do come up and you should really look out for these because they are worth it! I purchased my console from Kogan when they went on sale, and managed to nab it for a steal!
I purchased this because I'm studying interstate, occasionally fly back and forth, and needed something easily transportable when I move back home. I've been a big fan of...Read more
the 3DS - love its portability and durability, so I figured the Switch would be the same. I was wrong... IT'S EVEN BETTER!!! The screen: I didn't feel like I was playing a portable. The screen quality is lovely, the brightness excellent, and time flies when you're playing on the plane!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Amazing console!
Perfect game console. My kids absolutely in love with this device.
It is very handy so you can carry anywhere to play also very easy to connect to TV as well.
The charging/ TV dock is nicely made and the audio and graphics are beautiful. The touch screen and all the controller buttons are responsive promptly. This is a great item for kids especially if you are planning to trip with your kid.

Switch Neo, very happy with it, but it could be improved.
I bought this from EB Games yesterday and was very happy with it. They knocked $20 off the price to price-match JB Hifi next door and also gave me $10 off Zelda. I wanted a portable gaming device that wasn't a toy - I had the 3DS before and gave it away as the playable screen was pretty boring. But the Switch has a very playable screen, and I can connect it to my HD monitor and sound system as well via the included dock.
I would've given it 5/5 but for the fact there's no instructions worth anything in the box, and trying to find instructions...Read more

Great little console
Bought this to play Zelda and the new Mario oddessy. It’s a great little console that I can carry with me around the house or connect to my tv when playing with my daughter.
The game store on the console has loads to choose from many games towards everyone’s liking. The console has had no faults so far. Easy to assemble, easy to handle and doesn’t have loads of bulky cords.

Versatile and fun
A good range of fun games, the Switch has worked perfectly.
You can play the Switch connected to your TV or take it with you on the plane, to the park or wherever. The only downside is it doesn’t come with a carry case, so you might want to invest in one.

Extremely flexible console - perfect for everyone
The ability to play both handheld and on TV is super useful and caters for all audiences. The joycons can be used together as a single controller, or split up into two different ones for multiplayer. Already, this console is extremely flexible. The games themselves - Zelda Breath of the Wild + Mario Odyssey especially - are contenders for best games of all time.

Love mario and switch
Nintendo switch is the best concole and handhold in one device. With the new release in 2018, it's capable to replay my new 3ds xl soon. It's a perfect device. The only thing bother me is the backgound noisy of the headphone jack. It's very loud on some sensitive earphones and degrade the gaming experience. I hope they can fix it with next switch upgrate.

Great console, many ways to play!
I wasn't too excited by the switch considering that dismall performance of the Wii U so I held off buying it for a while. I recently got the switch and it has surpassed my expectations. The physical console screen is very high resolution and looks much better than I thought it would. The console is also a good weight meaning it doesn't get too heavy when you play it in handheld mode. Also the joy-con controllers feel quite natural once you get used to them and while they are light, you can tell they are well made. The docking of the switch is v...Read more
ery easy and the transition it makes onto your TV is seamless. The switch plays great on the TV too and there are so many ways you can use the controller you can find the best one to suit you. Another bonus is that some games allow you to play two player by just using the one pair of joy-cons, meaning you don't need to buy another controller to play with a friend. While this console is still quite new and more and more games are still coming out, I'd say at the moment is a great time to buy one with games such as mario oddesy and mario rabbids being great additions. The best portable gaming device
The Nintendo switch is at a good price where I can even take it to work and on the train. It’s not to small or heavy to put it in my bag when traveling.

A great gaming console that really is aimed at the entire family.
The Nintendo Switch differs significantly from the consoles on offer from the other manufacturers, in that it comes as a portable unit. However, it also doubles as a normal console because you can plug it into the (included) dock, and you can play it on your TV. The predecessor, the Wii U was plagued with problems, but I haven't found any major issues with the Switch.
Each gaming console, whether it's an Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo, has "exclusive" gaming titles that are limited to their own consoles. If you like Halo, then you need an Xb...Read more
ox, and if you like Mario Kart, Mario Odyssey, or Zelda, then you have to buy a Nintendo console. Despite being technologically less powerful than the other modern competition offerings, the Nintendo Switch comes with greater flexibility in use, and some of the best games out there for adults and children alike. Perhaps my biggest complaint is the comparatively small (yet growing) number of games for the Switch specifically.... especially compared to Xbox or Playstation options. Since the Switch was released in March 2017, (at the time of writing), the console is less than a year old. However, looking at the long list of games yet to be released, that number will quickly rise. From what games I have tried, I honestly believe that despite the lack of sheer game title numbers, the currently available games are more family-friendly/party-friendly than the other consoles. Many of the games are very intuitive, so even complete novices can quickly master the basics, so are better suited for younger family members, or the technologically challenged. If you want a first console, then the Nintendo arguably, has an edge over the more powerful consoles, but offers games that suit adults as well. Nintendo has been making consoles longer than Sony and Microsoft, so there's a lot of people who (although being quite adult now... at least officially) will have been raised on the Nintendo, and wish to play it as a stroll down memory lane. Many will be be presented with a familiar feel to the games, albeit with significantly better graphics.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

When this was announced, I scoffed. Well, I take that back!
In all honesty, I thought the Switch was a stupid idea that would semi-fail like the Wii U. Well, I've been proven so wrong it's not funny. Don't get me wrong, it's made of plastic and is a little cheap, but it's the best plastic and it still manages to feel 'premium' somehow. Also, gone are the CDs, replaced with small cartridges and that's a big plus for me.
The unit itself is only 720p, but looks superb, and the 1080p upscaling looks even better. People will notice the poorer graphics in games with less 'cartoony' aesthetics, but I'm sti...Read more
ll very pleased. As a portable gaming device, it's the best on the market. It won't fit in your pocket, and it doesn't have the biggest library, but from an experience point of view, nothing beats it. In terms of where it excels, it's the seamless transition from portable gaming to playing on the TV. This is where I thought it would fail badly, but it doesn't. Also, you can buy multiple docks for multiple TVs, which only heightens its versatility. However, all the accessories are fairly expensive, which is a drawback. I usually reserve 5 stars for products that knock my socks off, but the Switch -- given my smug disapproval -- is worth it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A great product for little and big kids
Great entertainment for people off all ages. The console is portable and can be used by up to 4 players. Best bought in a value bundle at Places like Eb. I got mine at JB for$399. Highly recommend Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda. New game came out today involving cardboard. Looks like a lot of fun

Good console
This is a great console, revolutionary, with a good roster of first party games.
Unfortunately there are a lot of ports from other consoles on it, but I guess that's ok if you don't have a PS4 or Xbox.
Also there is only 32gb memory and if you are going to be getting a lot of digital games you will need to buy a SDHC card to add to the inbuilt memory.
But Zelda and Mario Odyssey in the first year? Incredible!
I would recommend a tempered glass screen protector as the screen can get scratched when put into the dock.

No, As an entertainment device it's very lacking in features, can't play Netflix ect. Solid gaming system, graphics are poor but I don't think that is an issue, Nintendo games don't require amazing graphics to be emersive.
Best Nintendo console to date. The fact that it is handheld makes all the difference, and it can still display on the TV like previous consoles if you prefer that, but I don't know anyone who doesn't love playing in handheld mode. The Nintendo 64/GameCube emulation is coming soon as well, so expect the imminent release of old games for the Switch.
As a gaming system, yes it is a good one. A works well as a mix of a handheld system you can take with you and one you can have set up with your main rig. If you wanted it as an all rounder to work with the other home entertainment opitions you might have in your house, for now it is limited with not much known about what they could do there. It is a possible "watch this space" type deal there. Otherwise, it is good at what it does.
