Nintendo Switch Love
Was a little worried buying the Nintendo Switch console as it was all new for me but it was one of my best purchases yet! Is easy to set up & easy to set up internet connection. My 7yr old daughter loves it and I love that alot of the games get the kids up off the lounge and playing like for real, great. Great fun for the whole family...

Console gaming, on the go!
As the title states, the Nintendo Switch is a gaming console that can be picked up off the charger and taken to continue gaming on the go.
This is a great idea not only for the tech savvy adult gamer, but brilliant for kids, as they can use a large TV at home no eye strain, and then grab the console and game in the car on trips.
With a USB-C charging port, conveniently located on the bottom, the console simply docks in its charging station while at home. This connected to a TV by HDMI provides console quality gaming on s big screen.

rollers, Yes, there are two can be physically removed from the console so the console can sit on as table and you don't need to hold it. A great way to prevent those drops by younger players. But there is more. The two controllers can be configured to allow two players at the same time! But wait, there is more. You can further use the controller handle to dock the removable controllers to give you a more usable single gaming controller. And then there is the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller that connect via Bluetooth to use at home, or on the go. This controller is more in the size of comparable gaming controllers. The graphics? With a portable gaming console, the concern of 'are the graphics any good?' is answered simply as YES! Nintendo have decades of experience in gaming and squeezing the absolute best out of a small device. They achieve this easily.Purchased in September 2021 at EB Games for A$479.00.

Excellent for both at home and gaming on the go
The only issue is wear and tear, you must be careful with your switch. After 10 months, I had to replace joysticks, as one wouldn't lock in anymore, the second issue is WIFI - very low range, you will need a WIFI extender if in a big house, third is that WIIU games can be exactly the same, yet non transferable to new device. Otherwise game quality is excellent, online gaming and range is pretty epic too.
I would give this product 5 stars, if was built too last longer and if it was a little more advanced, wifi should be extended, battery life improved and needs to be more compatible with Netflix and other apps.
I think nintendo will bring out a new and improved version, can't wait.

A Portable Gaming Powerhouse
The Nintendo Switch is truly a portable gaming powerhouse. No other gaming handheld has given gamers a way to play triple A games on the go. With it's unique controllers that allow two player gaming, a clean and bright HD screen and the ability to increases your storage, why haven't you made the switch?

I Love It
I bought my Switch from EB Games a year and a half ago. About six months ago one of the joycons wasn’t functioning correctly and Nintendo told me to swap it for a replacement at my local EB. Now the new one isn’t functioning correctly and will have to be replaced. That said, they are nifty little controllers and perfect for passing around at parties or for little children’s hands. Hopefully Nintendo fix whatever is plaguing the joycons with the next version. I prefer using the Nintendo Pro Controller, which is fantastic. Besides the faulty joyc...Read more
ons, the Switch itself has been perfect. Never had an issue with it. The screen is fantastic (especially compared to the 3DS), the sound is great, games play perfectly when docked and they load fast! Speaking of games, there are currently about 180 games on the Switch that have received professional review scores of either 8, 9, or 10 out of 10. That’s way more games than I plan on playing. Then there are all the other games that have scored below 8 to add to the list of games you can play on the Switch. Nintendo also has their Online service which has about 65 Nintendo Entertainment System games including classics like: Zelda, Mario, and Metroid. I actually only bought the Switch to play Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, but it turns out I love playing games on it and the Switch became my go-to console. If a game is multi-platform I choose Switch. One of the reasons for that choice is because I love that I can play it handheld or on my tv. It’s so quick and easy and convenient and fun.Purchased in January 2021 at EB Games for A$480.00.

So much fun!
The Switch takes you back to your childhood and is perfect for when you want to just pick up and play a game. Lots of games but they can be expensive. Battery doesn’t last long though, but I do love the joy-cons and being able to play on the TV. Very cool.

Poor quality worse service
My son loves this thing, but he is not the one paying to replace the handsets. Had it one month, is only played by a six year old, and the joycon stopped working, sent to Nintendo and they won't replace, want the same money as a new one to fix and won't even send it back unless we pay 20 . that handset has never been dropped or had ruff treatment. Our ps 4 has had handsets dropped or sat on and it still goes strong. Don't waste your money just stick to PS 4 s. They say the switch is portable, but I won't let the kids risk taking it anywhere, too flismy. Also games are about $80, but you still have to pay for a membership to be able to play most of them.

Best Nintendo console yet!
It may be hybrid but offers a great value for money package and is stable and mobile. I have had one since day 1 and only had 1 problem with it and this was the back of the switch console having a slight crack in it which was replaced under warranty.
Some Positives:
- I love its mobility and the genuine accessories you can buy to keep it safe whilst taking it mobile.
- Variety of games and variety of old school NES games you can play online (must pay $30 a year for online subscription). This console is having all older games from Sony, Sega a...Read more

Quality console held up by a few niggling issues
Definitely an interesting addition to the market, and one which many will love, however has some big issues which hold it back a bit. Firstly, the games. One of the major appealing parts of the Switch is the fact that you can get platform games on a handheld console. The issue, however, is that the library is so limited, and most new releases do not make it to the Switch. Much of the library consists of older games re-released, and there are few Nintendo Switch exclusives.
The console itself also has a somewhat awkward design. It never feels ...Read more
super comfortable, especially for FPS games, or games which rely heavily on the second stick for movement. The joycons controller attachment is also not particularly well designed, and whilst the pro controller does feel good, it is an extra expense. Overall, however, simply the fact that you can actually play platform titles, new or old, on a handheld console is quite an enjoyable feature, and games such as dark souls transition across well. I would well recommend gamers at least trying this console out, as it does have its perks.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

On the go console gaming!
Nothing much to add apart from it being awesome and I love the handheld function of this gaming console.
Also knowing that older games are being ported over to Switch is equally welcoming too. Graphics look so clean and sharp and overall I just love that I can bring this wherever I go!

This gaming console is amazing, but some features are lacking 4.5/5
I have got not much to say against the product as it's awesome, but I believe that the switch would be perfect if it had these features.
To start, I would like to say how awesome the switch is. The games load in no time and the graphics are great to its theme and style. My bother and I would be screaming at the TV and at each other because the games are awesome. I also like how the switch comes with 2 controllers (but can be used as one), instead of having to buy another controller for somebody else to use. Sure, the console can be vulnerable ...Read more
to damage when docking, but buying a screen protector OR using a larger sock easily prevent scratches to occur on the switch. The biggest notable design flaw is the way the input charging port is, can't be used comfortably while playing and charging. Also, another flaw is the kickstand, awkwardly position away from the centre of mass, a small force can knock it over, and the kickstand is hard to get out. The last flaw that I believe can be fixed is the way to power off the switch. Powering off the switch requires the user to hold the button and choose the 'hidden power off' option, which i don't like. Some addons I really want to see are apps like Netflix and Spotify because the way the console was designed was to be "taken with you" and to listen to the persons' favourite music list. I am fairly pleased with this product and I would Highly recommend this to versatile and new gamers.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Whole family absolutely loves this console !!!!!!!
We have owned this console for about 1.5 years and in that time we have probably played it more than any other console we have ever owned ! The fact you can take the console out of the dock for handheld play is such a cool feature as when the television is being used by someone else you can still play your game . The games library is fun and mostly family friendly and it is just an all round awesome device ! Highly recommend as an addition to every gaming family !

We bought a brand new console that was faulty and Nintendo blamed us and wanted money to fix it
We purchased a new Switch for our 6 year old son for Christmas. We were on holidays and he was so excited. We bought on Catch of the Day. He opened it for the first time on Christmas morning and the device would not charge. We packed it into the box and contacted Catch of the Day and Nintendo when we arrived home. Nintendo told us to put a samsung charger into it to see if it worked. It still did not charge. We were then asked to send the charger and console back. We sent it back and they called a few days later to say the charger was faulty an...Read more
d they would replace it but the console had misuse. I explained that there is no way it was misuse and it was not used and never charged! There was apparently physical damage to the USB connector. There is no way the damage was done by use. They want us to pay $95 to fix it and return. The Nintendo Australia team are so rude and not customer focussed. We either pay them more money or they will keep our switch that has never worked. I also contacted Catch of the Day who were not interested in helping and tell you to contact Nintendo.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great little console
I've owned the switch for about a year and a half now, and it rekindled my passion for gaming. When I first purchased the switch I had been getting a little tired of the PlayStation and PC which I've been playing for years day in, day out. I was excited to try something new, and the technology in the Switch seems really exciting and interesting.
I grew up playing the NES, Super NES and N64 but after that I never really stuck with Nintendo because the consoles they were making just didn't really do it for me. I've always been hoping that one d...Read more

Faulty product, should be recalled by manafacturer
I purchased this product for my grandson for xmas, worked brilliantly for 2 weeks and from then on we have not been able to recharge the inbuilt battery, went online and tried all the suggested remedies to no avail, returned the product to place of purchase JBS Hifi and they tested the product and found it was actually faulty, a $400 game console lasting only 3 weeks before being unplayable is way less than what you would expect, searched Google and found many other people have had the same experiance, on this product I recommend buyer beware. Thanks

My favourite way to commute
I had always loved my old Nintendo consoles but having to study meant they took a back seat. Bought myself a switch as a reward and to occupy myself during a long commute and haven’t looked back. Love the portability of it, it’s light and powerful and the range of games is growing daily. I love that games from other systems are being ported over. Having the option to dock the console on a TV and play with motion controls is also a great option. Battery life reasonable for how powerful it is and the option to also download games digitally is great for portability. I haven’t looked back.

No, As an entertainment device it's very lacking in features, can't play Netflix ect. Solid gaming system, graphics are poor but I don't think that is an issue, Nintendo games don't require amazing graphics to be emersive.
Best Nintendo console to date. The fact that it is handheld makes all the difference, and it can still display on the TV like previous consoles if you prefer that, but I don't know anyone who doesn't love playing in handheld mode. The Nintendo 64/GameCube emulation is coming soon as well, so expect the imminent release of old games for the Switch.
As a gaming system, yes it is a good one. A works well as a mix of a handheld system you can take with you and one you can have set up with your main rig. If you wanted it as an all rounder to work with the other home entertainment opitions you might have in your house, for now it is limited with not much known about what they could do there. It is a possible "watch this space" type deal there. Otherwise, it is good at what it does.
