@Play Starter Kit for Nintendo Switch Lite - garbage. Do not waste $30
$30 - bought as click and collect.
comes with a glass screen protector, case to hold “all accessories”, earphones.
The screen protector came with guide stickers which peeled off.
The actual protector did not come with a sticker to peel off the backing, needed to use fingernails. As a result it caused the guide stickers to come loose, and dust to fly onto the protector on the sticky side. I tried to remove the dust and the protector snapped.
Case says it holds all accessories but the charger does NOT FIT in the case.
The store itself is fine. The customer derives is always fantastic. I have no problem with that at all. It’s the actual product.

Horrible!
Bought Nintendo Labo Kit two weeks ago for $99.95 Now they put up for $39.95!!! Asked them but their services very bad! Not even help or give a good reason why. Don’t ever buy games from them anymore!!

Defective product
I gave 1 star because I cannot give a 0. Firstly, the store at Bondi Junction has very bad post purchase service. They are very quick to take your money but as soon as there is a problem, they say sorry it was ok when it left here. We bought a Harry Potter wand. My son took it out of the box and waved it in the air and a part came off. I spoke to [name removed], who told me, sure, you can take it back and receive a refund or exchange and then i told her but the store won't do it unless you say it is ok. So she said ok, i will tell them it is up to them. I then replied, but you've just told me i can get a refund or an exchange. She said yes i know. VERY ODD!!!! Anyhow, she called the store, i called them back and they said, sorry we can't do anything about it. They went on to say that head office called and said they shouldn't do anything about it. So, i was left confused and annoyed. So, i called the customer service team again. I was on hold for 28 minutes. I spoke to a guy named [name removed], who seemed decent enough at the beginning of the phone call. He, then, put me on hold for a further 10 minutes and came back saying sorry, you are the ones who broke it. All my son did was wave it in the air. I suggested that this is crazy as all he did was wave it in the air and it shouldn't fall apart for that, so i asked if i could please speak to a manager and his response was NO. He then went on to say that he had already spoken to them. I said, well i want to speak to them too. Then after trying for a further 5 mins to speak to a manager he put me on hold for another 2 mins and said, they are not available. But he said, he had just spoken to them. Very bad post purchase customer service. Very dismissive and they don't care about the customer at all to the point where I couldn't even speak to a manager. Poor service and ripped off
Ordered a PS4 for my son. Went in with him to pick it up and realised it wasn’t the ps4 Pro. I said to the staff can I pay the extra and get the ps4 pro they said they would have to get there manager to approve the exchange. So I waited in store without even leaving the store. Manager said he can not exchange consoles, even though I hadn’t taken possession of it and was still brand new sealed on there counter, the best he could do he said was offer to buy it back as a trade In and offered me half the price I paid and he put the console on the counter pushed it towards me and said what would you like to do. Absolute joke eb games are and would recommend everybody to stay clear of them.

Bad communication
Wasn't notified of delay in shipment for my preorder. They found out the day before and I was told when I was already in-store - in the middle of a pandemic...

Warrenty
My sons Xbox one s had an issue of not starting up so I phoned my local store and staff were more than helpful with sorting out the problem with an exchange as it was only 6 months old. Only thing is I was told for an exchange I had to return the console, power cord and HDMI cable in the box which I no longer have.
I told them this and they said unfortunately without the packaging they can't do the exchange.
I can't understand why the packaging is needed and asked if I come in I'll just take the console and accessories out of the new replaceme...Read more

Best online service
While my transaction in-store wasn't the best... items were left out of my order and charged for things that should have been free. The EB Games digital team were great! Handled my enquiry like pros. Found my online account, contacted the store in question and had everything sorted so all I had to do was go in and collect what I needed.

customer service very poor and disgusting arrogant
girl wouldn't listen to me on the phone was being arrogant and rude, kept telling me to lodge a complaint if iam not happy and kept shutting down the conversation this was on a legitimate query. Guess what you can now shut down the conversation all you want but you will now have a bad review on here with all to see

Staff was rude
Staff had an attitude towards me, I was there to pick up my click and collect switch console order. Great For Specials, Overpriced For New Releases
Staff are passionate on answering all of your questions regarding games, consoles and accessories instore. 20 years shopping at Ebgames i personally only ever had one bad experience with a staff member who barely spoke english. When purchasing a new release title i suggest to find the lowest competitive price at your shopping centre, take a photo and they will match it as they dont match online prices . Games are not worth $120 for a new release and preordering is really a gimmick as most stores have plenty of stock. Never had a issue return...Read more
ing a game that i didnt like as long as it is within 7 days of purchase according to return policy. I prefer not to purchase new consoles from Ebgames as they ONLY provide a one year manufacture warranty. Faulty headset with no return !!!
Brought A20 wireless headset for my daughter for Christmas and the headset power does not turn on I have tried everything I rang ebgames and they said I have to contact the headset company their in America .... when will my daughter be able to use her $250 headset their should be a return policy in store and replacement I shouldn’t be doing the stores job I’m a consumer when I purchased these headsets I expected them to work and ebgames should replace them if they don’t !! I will be buying from competitors with appropriate return policies next time !!!

Prices are more expensive thank a local retailer. Discussed this and showed the staff their competitors prices. They could care less. Spent over $300 at the competition. Poor form EB Games.

They simply do not honor Warranties.
I bought $250 Lucid Sound Head Set from EB, within 2 months the hinges were cracking off ( Which I learned was a common manufacturing flaw with the Lucid Sound Head sets. When I took it to the store for a solution I was told they simply NEVER, Refund, Replace or Repair Damaged head sets, it was their policy and they would do nothing. I wasted a month emailing them back and forth and they were clearly just messing me about until I gave up.

EB games suck
EB games ripped me off $300 because their team don’t know how to fix a PlayStation I send it in 3 times and each time it came back with a different problem I then had to buy a completely new PlayStation and pay for it I have lost game data and have been without a PlayStation for nearly 2 months.
Do not waste your time getting your things fixed at EB games.

Useless customer support
Absolutely useless customer support, dont write policies on their website, they force you to go in store and call them up, be on hold for an hour, to just tell you a scripted No. Will not help and then will hang up on you. AVOID! Shop elsewhere

Excellent customer service
Went into the browns plains store with my son and wanted to purchase a game for my son for Christmas without him seeing . The staff were amazing, one distracting him while another got the game ready for me. Both staff members went above and beyond to help me.
