Excellent customer service...i was shocked
On 11/08/2019 my son and i visited Warragul Eb games and was served by Elizabeth no#079277 (as stated on receipt).
I have avoided this store for two years due to hostile service by a young girl and older man; but to my amazement Elizabeth is a breath of fresh air!!!
Congratulations Elizabeth on your knowledge and willing to help even though you were very busy. I hope you are rewarded.
ps. in the last two years we have used the Pakenham store which has Always been excellent also.
Thankyou

Terrible customer service
I popped into the High Point shopping centre store in Melbourne Australia to check a release date. As I approached the counter I spoke happily to Kat and she didn't respond so I made sure I repeated myself clearly and still no response but a blank stare. I then said I would like to check the release date on Ghost Recon, still no response but just typing on the computer and says October 1st. I then said thank you, can you tell me the price? Kat says it will be three versions of the game standard, gold and another I cannot remember what she s...Read more
aid. I then said ok thanks but can you tell me the prices. She then mentions the prices as if she was annoyed and still never smiled nor spoke. She was absolutely horrible and unfriendly. To be honest normally this store is very fun and friendly but Kat was very unfriendly and unsmiling.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

You pay new price for used games if it's not wrapped...
After dealing with such hopeless service at Werribee store, I even called first and was told it would be sorted. Wrong. Just a ruse to get me in. EB they can send you a game that has been out of the box, handled, with fingerprints and slight scratches. Get stuffed. How is this considered 'new', that's what I'm paying for...So of FIVE games FOUR were scratched ! Unreal, the wrapping saved the last one.
So I called my local store, I called a few stores and they mostly had discs stored behind the counter. Was told at Werribee it would be sorted a...Read more

customer care
I visited Caroline Springs EB Games on Sat Aug 3, and wish to give a good comment to "Cat" a staff member there. Very efficient, caring and excellent customer relationship. Extremely helpful, I felt completely satisfied with my purchase, and was even given good advice on how to set it up. As a mum herself, she could see that I was struggling with my toddler and so presented him with a sticker. Thank you Cat for your attention and professionalism. Please pass this comment on to the store manager for me.
Thank you - An appreciative mum.

Store needs improvement and so do staff
Disability awareness. This store at Tweed Heads is not disability friendly.
They are understaffed under stocked and unhelpful. I went to JB Hi Ji and got PS4 items and
good range and service.

Blame the customer for defective product
I purchased a Turtle Beach headset from the Merrylands store on 30/6/2019. I week later, the padded outer ear cover slipped off. It wasn't attached in any way. The fabric bit was slipped over the hard plastic ear pieces and into a slot/groove that went around the side of the headset....so yes, it will slip off.
I work in the city so I took the headset into the Galleries Victoria store where the store manager tried to pull the padded outer ear cover back onto the hard plastic ear piece (his fingers, hands and arms were covered in bloodied cuts/...Read more
lesions). He couldn't get the cover back on and refused to give me a refund/replacement unless Turtle Beach admitted liability for a defective product because otherwise, EB Games couldn't get a refund for the cost of the headsets. He suggested I contact EB Games' Customer Service which I did. After spending 30 mins on hold, Cody answered. He suggested that this was due to poor design but said he couldn't do anything about it unless Turtle Beach admitted liability. I asked him why Turtle Beach would admit liability. He asked me to send him some photos of the headsets to which he replied with a link to Turtle Beach, again asking me to contact them. I'm not sure if it's going to help, but I've made a complaint to Fair Trading. In any case, I'll be voting with my feet. I'll never shop at EB Games again.Similar opinion? Product Return
All I wanted was to return a keyboard because it developed a software issue but all they could do was replace it. All ready replaced before but since it was over 7 Days since I purchased they couldn’t refund

No hassle trustworthy business.
Recieved a PC headset as a gift purchased from EB which I found to be faulty within a few days of use . I returned to the store and was immediately offered a refund or replacement, as I wasnt happy with the product quality (no fault of EB) I opted to upgrade. So 6 months down the track the new brand is also having issues, so when contacting them I expected to have to stuff around and return the item to the manufacturer ....BUT they found a store with stock they put then on hold and would swap over on the spot apon item return.
I could...Read more

Good and Bad
Great store with amazing customer service but more costly than other stores as you'd pay $99 there for a game that JB Hi-Fi sells for $79 but a very trustworthy business.

Never pre order form EB Games
Pre ordered a game (Cyberpunk) I have been waiting for ages to have a release date. Was shocked to find out they want $30 minimum just to pre order it which is about a third of the cost of the game. This is in contrast to the $10 I usually have to put down for a per order. The game is about a year away from being released and I realized that this sudden price hike clearly is to fill their bank accounts with all the interest they will be getting from stinging customers the extra $20. If they get 1 mil of pre orders then that is 20 mil extra sitt...Read more
ing there getting interest for a year. Worst part about it when I asked why they have jacked up the price I was told it is 'the pricing team that did it' and when I asked how to get in touch with them I was told flatly 'you can't'. Well I hope more customers like me will no longer pre order, better places for my money to go than just making EB richer when they clearly do not care about their customers.Similar opinion? Stupidest retail experience of my entire life
This store has a habit of enticing customers in to buy its products with deals and rewards, on multiple occasions when the reward was wanted it has not been there, and in this case it was unwanted and let to the product apparently being un-purchasable at that store even though it was on the shelf and still being advertised in store.
I was standing at the register product in-hand when the casheer (who was as helpful as they could be) said there was a deal but it was out of stock but she needed help from manager because reward was unavailable an...Read more
d the other items would need to be picked up when it came in (which was fine). They returned 15 mins later and began to ring other stores, I was then suddenly told I would need to travel to another suberb to make the purchase.., product and cash in hand at the register, for the sake of a reward that had not been allocated to the products still on the shelf and being advertised in that store. I ended up walking out empty handed as we did not have the time to go to other suberbs to shop at their other stores. and this EB is how you lose a $470 sale from a smiling customer standing at the checkout ready to pay for your product.Similar opinion? Heartbroken
I am appalled with the attitude. I was once a regular customer every fortnight . in Melbourne Central store I would buy IMVU prepaid cards. Being a creator with IMVU they knew it was important to have a prepaid card and they said they would never be out of stock. Now I find there are no more cards and they say they will not be restocking them again. There is no excuse and also they are lying to the public to mis advertising as it is advertised that the IMVU prepaid cards are in stock. Whatever happened to the happy attitude they once had. They even encourage creativity. I guess they don't. Really disappointed

amazing service
I went into the store at Westfield Penrith plaza I was served by a man whose name was Nathan. I was looking at getting a gaming keyboard and headset. Nathan gave me his best advice and helped me get the right product that would be best for me. For a kid who is 11, he treated me like an adult which was great. best service ever.

Refused a sale to a child because he had coins/change to pay for a game.
To whom it may concern, I am absolutely disgusted by the customer service I had today from EB games Browns plain village square. My 8year son had saved up all his pocket money to purchase a game today which the staff refused his money as it was in coins.
I am absolutely appalled by this and my son is devastated in which I then had to purchase the game on card.
I would like to see the policy where EB games cannot take Australian currency in coins.
I will be taking this further and making many reviews online.
