Been Happier With Previous SUV's.
Its a very quiet car, handles quite nicely but have driven better cars. Like the interior, seats comfortable, leg room ample - reflection of the dashboard onto the windscreen is awful, especially when it is very sunny. Excellent reliability and petrol consumption is excellent on both long and town runs.

Really bad quality of the materials
We bought brand new Dualis 4 years ago. The front seats started tearing after 2 years and there is wholes in the seats, the material the seats are made of is really low quality, the plastic handles inside the front doors peeled off, we exchanged them for new ones and now the plastic around the buttons to open the front windows is peeling off, radio panel is impossible to read during the day, the rear panel to open the boot fell off, and there is a dent in the boot made with a bare hand while closing the boot. We went back to Nissan, they took ...Read more
photos of everything and then we were told it wasn't covered by the warranty because the service is done by a different mechanic ( a member of AHG). I wanted to give Nissan a second chance and offered to buy new Nissan Qashqai and give my Nissan as a trade in since I am so not happy with it. I was expecting a good price to keep us as customers and prove that Nissan is a good car after all, at the time the car was 3,5 years old and we were offered $6000. We paid $28,000 for the car. I said it was ridiculous to even offer us this price for the car they sold us. I wasn't going to convince Nissan that Nissan is a good car and probably worth more than $6000. I am very disappointed and will never recommend Nissan to anyone after we were treated this way.

Tail Gate Realease
One week ago opened the tail gate release as per normal the whole assembly came off in my hand. Took into dealer and was told it was not covered by warranty, On reading other reviews I have found it is a common problem. I was told it would cost between $300 - $400 to fix. My vehicle is just over 100,000 kms. I would hope Nissan will correct this problem on future models.

My car is amazing can't live without it.
Very smooth car to drive extremely comfortable ride with good leg room front and back. Very roomy inside. It would be great if it had auto park assist & auto boot assist

Rear boot handle
Great car to drive...But rear boot handle just snapped off...Was just opening the boot as you normally would and it came right off in my hand...Would expect a boot handle to last more than a few years....Unless of course Nissan dont expect us to be opening and closing the boot or use it all...

Rotor discs
I have a Dualis 2WD 2013. As at Jun 16 has completed 30,000km. Got shudders through the steering column. Rotors require skimming according to Nissan. Have been informed that this is not covered under warranty. It is considered wear and tear. I have the not unreasonable expectation that I should a fair few more kms more than this before re-skimming and my having to pay! My last Nissan I am afraid until I am convinced otherwise. A real pity as Dualis is quite a good car otherwise. I am taking this further and as I am informed I am a stubborn son of a b..ch I intend to seek reimbursement even if it costs me time!!!!!!

Great Car
Car is great, runs well. I have got this one on 0% comparision rate so that's an add on. Never had any issues, it's just the dealer (AHG Nissan Sutherland) which isn't reliable. The car gives 11/100 km for local city driving and upto 12.4/100 km for highway. I haven't spend any extra money on the car, but only had this for 3 years.

Ok for the time being
When we bought this car I really loved it but that was for a couple with no kids.
The car is to small for a baby. The boot is full with the pram and no room in the back for more than one passenger despite having a narrow car seat.

This SUV is a pleasure to drive and own.
Almost four years since we picked up our Dualis Ti-L and we have had a trouble free run in this beautifully balance and comfortable SUV. We have travelled just 45,000 KMs and still have the original brake pads and tyres with our only expenses being the 6 month servicing and fuel. We may have to purchase a larger SUV due to an increase in Grandchildren and we are not looking forward to selling our Dualis because we are so happy with our Dualis.

Front Discs and tyres
I bought my new manual Dualis Ti in November 2011. At 40,000kms I had to have the front discs changed as they were shuddering when braking. I had the same problem with my Tiida and after having them shaved and the problem reoccurred had ventilated discs fitted and the problem is gone.
I replaced my original tyres at 101,000kms after Nissan told me to think about changing them at 40,000kms. I went to Tyrepower who sell the original tyres and they said I should get around 90,000kms. I wasn't prepared to pay $400 per tyre, so Tyrepower sugg...Read more
ested another brand @ $200 each. I've now had 48,000kms out of them and they are nowhere near needing to be replaced. I am now experiencing a very noisy rear end @ 149,000kms and am told by a mechanic friend I need the rear bearings replaced. After reading previous comments, I hope it isn't the diff or transmission. I rarely have back seat passengers, but when using the rear vent, need to have the air on full so they get reasonable flow around their feet, which means the front seat people tend to get cold. The fuel consumption has dropped from 14.2kms/L to 13.0kms/L.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

This vehicle has been a pleasure to drive
I find the interior is very comfortable, from the driving position to ease of access for controls. Vision from the cabin is very acceptable. The sense you get of floating with a very smooth ride, or may be that is just the tyres I am running. Either way it is unbeaten by the dozen other cars I have had, some of them by Nissan. I cannot fault the car. It is not the most economical of cars, however, for its class it is very affordable. Reliable? Well the word is not in the Dualis dictionary.

Shudder At 55-70km/hour
Interesting reading on this site about the problems people are having with the Dualis (and other vehicles) and the CVT shudder. My car has had a shudder since new and Nissan tell me it is "characteristic of the vehicle" - e.g. the CVT. Had I known this I probably would not have purchased it.
All in all I like my Dualis - it is easy to drive (apart from the shudder), a good size for my needs, very comfortable driver's seat for me with the adjustments that can be made. I only potter around my town so fuel wise I fill up about once every 10 days ...Read more

It is a very good car, but need some changes on radio work
Fuel economy seems fairly reasonable,Radio tuning seems to be very unpredictable, it needs some changes to be more perfect, cruise control looks good and stylish classic interior looks very beautiful, the four wheeldrive makes it possible performance in retain or turn. Roads, i think the next design should be well interial and exterial

Clutch problems seem common
My two year old Dualis st with 32000 ks on the clock has just gone in with clutch problems. "Heat spots and worn clutch". Nissan claims no manufacturing defect, so won't cover it with warranty. $4000 repair bill seems rather excessive to me, for someone who has driven manuals for 40 plus years with no problems ever

Great, except for.
I am very happy with our Dualis, very comfortable and great looking, major thing letting it down was the dealership.
It has had normal wear and tear like brakes and tyres but the only faults are small things like airconditioner is not big enough for the car and rear passengers end up with the windows down as the cold air does not reach them, interior door handles fake chrome is peeling off, leather on seats is stiff, steering wheel leather discoloured, vibration rattle noise from moon roof when open, very loud road noise, 9lt per 100ks, rims ...Read more

My 2 cents
1 and a half years ago, we needed a new car we wanted an SUV styled car with room for a small family. Things we wanted. Good fuel economy. Safety. Price max $30000 AUD Diesel. Leather.
We looked at and test drove Hyundai ix35, Skoda Yeti, Sangyoung, Mazda CX3 an 5, and Dualis TS.
First, none had the fuel economy of the dualis, the Skoda and Sangyoug had the right price, but the Skida is ugly and the Sangyoug was to noisy and fuel economy was almost Double. The ix35 was almost $37000 with all the options we wanted so it was out too. The Dualis...Read more

Worst car ever built
As if it was built to fall apart, the car has, it's been in service more then it has been driven, sell this car as soon as you can as its life span won't be any more then 5 years.
All parties just pass the buck for faulty issues, only good for a project car black hole reverse investment

Very Happy
As soon I took the car for a test drive, I felt very comfortable sitting in the car and the drive was smooth and responsive. The complaints about the engine size not being adequate is something I just don't understand. Let's be honest, this car is designed for a comfortable ride in town and the Dualis fits that expectation to the max. I brought the car over a month ago and cannot find anything I dislike or need. After all, there are over 2 billion people starving or going hungry on this planet, needing electronic mirrors? Well .. I should be so lucky I was born into a wealthy country.

Great car - but customer service let them down
Bought as a demo car with very low kms. Nissan Dualis has been good for a range of driving conditions, and the driver seat adjustability is good. Nissan's on road service deal stops after 8 years, even though my car has quite low kms still. Their recall handling & customer service / response to queries about recalls, warranty replacement of defective parts and attitude toward women owners was lacking.
Comfortable drive, safety features - great AWD for smaller stature drivers (women).
Latest safety recall (steering) was not well handled - N...Read more

Dualis TI l
Yes I agree with this review, I have owned my new automatic DualisTI L for just three months, it has shuddering through the steering wheel when driving at 60kph - also I can feel it on my legs too when driving! The Nissan service team have said it's the style of this automatic transmission - it's a belt style automatic and that it's fairly normal!
Sorry Nissan - I'm very disappointed in this car, it provides a not so smooth drive at 60 kmh!
