Olay Classic Moisturising Lotion
I had been using the Olay lotion for acne prone skin for 25 years . That was the only product that suited my skin. Then it was discontinued and the newer lotions are so bad causing breakouts and making the skin less smooth. That's it for me. Will be moving to some other brand after trial and error. Why would you mess with tried and tested formulae. Loyal customers are going to leave .☹️

After using this product for 45 years, the change in formula was thin and greasy. Not like the original one After ringing to complain,I was told a bareface lie that the formula hadn't changed. In my opinion,it is just a matter of the bottom line and hope no one will notice Next it will be palm oil.If enough people boycott this rubbish, maybe the old formula will be brought back.I took my opened bottle to Vinnies because I refuse to use it.It is still there for $1.00 after 3 weeks.I have since moved on to ALDI products.WOW,what a difference.
Purchased in July 2021 at Coles Supermarkets for $7.99.
I just called Olay customer service and found out they added a fragrance to the original lotion. I can't stand the smell and they just lost a customer who has used it for over 45 years. It smells horrible.

I have been a faithful and very happy user of Oil of Ulan ( I refuse to accept what I see as a TOTALLY unnecessary name change to suit conformance - another complaint) for over 55 years. My sister, her daughter and my daughter were also confirmed users over several decades. I was very happy with the original formula, less so with the change made around the time of the name change but we have all had to cease being users at all now. Following the latest formula change last year none of us can tolerate it. Hot burning inflamed itchy swollen skin ...
Read morerequiring in my case medication was the typical result. We did search out and stockpile as much as we could find across two states supplies of the previous formula but they are now almost depleted. Net result all four of us will now regretfully no longer use Oil of Ulan. Why change a good product with a proven record and a satisfied loyal clientele?Purchased in March 2022.

I'm writing this in response to people saying the original formula has changed. I read that the original name, Oil of Olay, was a spin-off on the word lanolin, which the original contained. However, lanolin is not listed in the ingredients of today's lotion (unless lanolin has some other unrecognizable name). I still love it though!

I have been using this product for sensitive skin - with no perfume for over 40 years, as did my mother. This was an excellent product and I have soft smooth skin which often attracted comment. The perfume in the regular one gave me headaches, and the sunscreen in the complete version causes itching. After looking for it recently I found that what appeared to be similarly packaged product now had sunscreen, which clogs up the skin and I do not require. I found that the colour of the package has now changed to pink, which is confusing as it look...
Read mores the same as the non-sensitive one; and whilst I found the one without sunscreen, there was a faint odour and a different feel more waxy. The label says with coconut oil - which would indicate a new addition to the formula. I don't know why you would change a good product that clearly works and is well supported by it's users.Purchased in April 2022 at Big W Retail Stores for $12.99.
I am very disappointed in the change made to the formula of this product over the last year. It no longer has a nice fragrance, does not absorb well and leaves a waxy coating on my skin. I have been using this product since I was 18 which is over 35 years. My daughter will also no longer use it as she does not like the new formula. We called their customer service who advised the formula has not changed. When you use a product that long you can tell the difference. Very disappointed and will now have to try to find a new simple moisturizer.

The sunscreen causes irritation. I was really happy with the old formula. This feels greasy and uncomfortable. Doesn't make a good surface for foundation. May have to look elsewhere. Very disappointed.
I hate the new type which has sunscreen add to it. It is too perfumed, greasy & itches my skin. I was very happy before & have used this product for 20+ years.

I can’t seem to buy the old moisturiser anywhere. They’ve changed the formula. My mum, my grandma and my great grandmother used this product for years! They had the most beautiful, wrinkle free faces. I loved it but it’s no longer the same. Very disappointed. In saying that I do love the 7 effects and the night regenerist. Maybe it was a ploy to make you buy the more expensive products.

My skin is combination and therefore I need a moisturiser that not only soothes my dry and sensitive skin but also doesn’t clog oily acne prone pores. I have previously used a moisturisers by oily but decided I was going to try the sensitive skin moisturising lotion and was highly disappointed. There is no ingredients list and I found the lotion very thin. Also my skin had been clear for multiple months before I bought this moisturisers and since getting it im suffering from painful breakouts on my t zone, this is the only new product I bought at the time and it’s been weeks of breakouts since using the moisturiser.

For as long as I can remember, we have always had Olay in the house. My mum used it, I used it my entire adolescence to now. Sadly, the product has changed dramatically recently I've noticed with my recent purchase - the product smells different, feels more watery and when applied near eyes makes them water, face feels tingly and red. No ingredients list anymore.

Sorry but the new formula is terrible. My mum has been using it for years, the new formula makes her eyes water. Im allergic to sunscreen so im not even going to try it. So disappointing when companies change formulas. why change it when everyone loved the way it was before. idiots, Dont fix what aint broke!
Why does the plain moisturising lotion made in Thailand smell so awful? Nothing like it used to. The last 2 bottles I've bought smelt yuk. Not out of date.
