Good TV bad Information
TV after about 12 months would sometimes stop during viewing, I turned off and on power then all ok then finallyafter about 18 months it stopped. TV would turn from red to green light show Kogan Loading sign then after short while stop to red light. I had extended waranty ( you can't talk to a person) so I emailed, got a reply I needed to upgrade the "FIRMWARE" after a lot of playing arround all done I now have a new performing TV.
Now my complaint I am not computer literate I needed my daughter to help through the process, at no time when I ...Read more

Slow response
The operating system is crap, the remove is unresponsive, tv takes 26 seconds to turn on and that is if it actually registers the actual remote being pressed. changing input is painful, takes ages to come up, ages to actually scroll.
I am not satisfied with the picture quality, watching football players faces are blurred. Dull colours
Speakers don't matter as I use external sound
unit has enough ports
This is the worst TV I have ever had, can't wait to get rid of it.

Sub-standard dumb smart TV. Avoid Kogan electronics.
Purchased this Kogan HD LED TV just over a year ago.
First impressions:
Picture quality acceptable from FTA DTV and HDMI Inputs.
Program guide slow and hard to use.
Sound from the built in speakers sub-par.
WiFi connection frequently dropped out.
Smart (android) system - performance appallingly slow
- obsolete
- many apps incompatible

Received the unit back yesterday. So far so good. It’s back in working order. Thanks Kogan for going the extra mile this time. But it shows you need to do something about the warranty time. Hope your latest models are much improved over this one.

Love it
Unfortunately I didn't realise when I further purchased my Kogan sound bar, that the TV manual indicated (Bluetooth - Dongal not inc). On contacting Kogan I found that Kogan does not sell the accessories to support their products, I was told to go on EBAY. I found that extremely disappointing and annoying as I don't do anything with EBAY

Good size with a few problems
Initially did not work, required an update which came by email. Great picture now and good size. Channel changing with the remote supplied is awkward and slow. Very difficult to set up smart TV facility until I purchased an air mouse. Future sales should include the air mouse as standard. I can now watch Netflix, ABC iview, and SBS on demand. It was impossible without the mouse despite numerous emails to and from the help desk.

Not smart
we purchased the smart tv was so we could watch catch up tv on ABC iView, TenPlay, Netflix, etc. The smart tv interface is terrible. The tv itself functions ok. But I would have gone withthe tv $200 less without the smart functionality and invested in an apple tv or chrome cast as an add on.

Shame on you Kogan.
Had nothing but problems with this TV. Had to update the firmware twice just to get it working. You tube doesn't work, web browser doesn't work there's always some error with these. The media players interface is terrible, If you have folders on a usb, they all appear open so all episodes are mixed in with movies in alphabetical order so it looks like a big mess. Nothing really seems to work on it properly. They would not give me a refund but rather have me go through a million things with their technician to try fix the problems. Shouldn't thi...Read more
s be done by kogan before selling the tvs? The remote is a joke. It's the cheapest most basic remote I've ever seen. A kids toy TV would have a better remote. I don't know why I let myself get sucked into buying their cheap Chinese rubbish1 comment

About to have some serious surgery and recovery time.I wanted a smart TV for my room. The price was right. The TV arrived and with an extra wall bracket mounted easily.Programming next. This was the issue. No keypad in the remote.I put in my usual apps with the cross keys, took ages.Passwords,emails.There had to be an easier way. Then the weather widget did not respond. The advice was update the unit. All my work was wiped. The widget was gone.it was causing issues I was told. Then I tried my daughters wireless keyboard from her desktop.Dongle in,it wor...Read more

Took some effort but it works.
Got this set running for a mate but it took a bit of work - stuff which is not at all covered in the user manual. Firstly, you need a microSD card and then you need to update the firmware. Secondly, onboard wi-fi is far too slow for streaming so the set needs to be connected via ethernet. Youtube 1080, Kodi and Netflix all run. Stan doesn't run as it needs wi-fi but thats an issue for Stan.

great anchor!
bought in March 2016, stopped working May 2016 ..... returned to Kogan for assessment ... 3 weeks later it arrived back at my house unannounced .... called Kogan ... said the powerboard had been replaced ....
need I say more .... have not bothered to take it out of the box, has been hidden behind the sideboard .... our old 40' Samsung LCD TV, which refuses to die ... has been put back into the lounge ...
dont waste ur money people ... Kogan TV's and what they call 'customer service' is awful ... move on and pay a few hundred more for a reputable brand

You can barely call it a Smart TV
Let me start by saying that as a normal TV the unit is fine. It finds and locates the digital channels and the guide and settings and other 'normal' TV functions work adequately. My real problem is that I purchased the TV for the SMART functions. Most of the Apps downloaded do not work correctly including Netflix, SBS on Demand and other streaming apps.
I reported the problem to Kogan who stated that Netflix should be able to be used but some other Apps were not supported. I thought this was strange due to the fact that the device runs ...Read more
on an Android platform and the Google Play store allows downloads of many types of Apps. I'm not interested in playing games, but I expect a SMART TV to be able to stream programmes from Australian television channels' applications. I have updated the firmware, first via a web update from the TV, then I've later used a USB drive to update the firmware. So I'm lead to believe that all should be well with my TV, alas it was not the case. Netflix still will not stream programmes correctly. The wifi signal cuts in and out and I only get a few seconds at a time of a programme before the App has to buffer the signal. Let me add that EVERY other wifi device I own including other SMART TVs, iPad, iPhone, and PCs can easily access the streaming services from every broadcast provider in every corner of my home. The Kogan TV just isn't up to scratch and simply isn't fit for purpose as advertised. In the end I've purchased a different TV (a Samsung SMART TV) that, unsurprisingly, works perfectly in the exact location the Kogan TV was located. I will never buy another Kogan TV. Please spend a few more dollars and purchase a better reputable TV brand.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Do not purchase a Kogan TV
I have had this "smart tv" for just under 2 months and it has not functioned as a smart tv for approx 30% of that time. First time was out for a week because of the system launcher crashing and now you cannot update google system because of an error on the system updater meaning most google funtions wont work properly. After having had enough of the excuses from customer service, I requested a refund on live chat to which they confirmed the return details and said they would send out by email confirmation details of pick up and packaging requi...Read more
rements etc. When the email was received they "referred the case to a senior technician" and will get back to me in 3-5 business days, not the refund/return as promised. Very disappointing customer service as it would appear they agree to anything to get you off live chat customer support. It is fair to say that I would not recommend using Kogan nor shall I ever again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Extremely slow.
Brought the 49" Smart Agora TV and have tried it for almost two days now and want to return it.
While the picture quality is decent the TV itself is extremely slow. With just 600mb of RAM (300 used just by the OS) it gets extremely slow when trying to watch anything like YouTube/Netflix. You must continually clear your memory otherwise it lags considerably. The entire apps process is almost painful to endure. The entire point behind a smart tv is to be able to use these things nice and easily.
The bezel also looks heinous. The top and bot...Read more
tom bezel is silver and the side bezels are black. But now im just kinda nitpicking. If you are looking for a general TV, for $600 it would do the job fine. The picture is good, sound is good. However, if you were just after a 1080p HD TV, you could find one better for a similar price. If you are after a Smart TV, i would try out some others first and compare the load times etc of apps because this TV just doesnt cut it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Wifi signal so bad.
Issues:
- Operating system runs very slow
- Delays after pressing remote buttons
- The remote signal is not very good
- The Wi-Fi signal is unacceptable. I have problems picking up the signal of the router in the next room. Nothing else has any issues like this accept this TV. I've been pulling my hair out in frustration. Only works when within 5-6 meters of the router. Is anyone else having this issue? The rest of the problems I live with but this....

THIS TV HAS WASTED & IS WASTING LIFE HOURS THAT ARE IRREPLACABLE
I like all of the other complainants about all of the Agora Smart 3D TV 's have just experienced the failure to launch problem; and it seems the same answer is given to every single complainant in regard to the firmware upgrade which I am unsuccessfully trying to find at the moment: No TV - Wasted Hours of Life - Financial Loss = not smart.
Further to this review I obtained a software update, and followed the instruction loading it via a usb; worked straight away. 2 two weeks later I noticed three vertical arcs of grey shadow on the right si...Read more
de of the screen, however this was so slight I soon got used to it beginning of December noticed the standby light was not on and when I tried to switch it on TV TOTALLY DEAD checked electrical plug sockets all working fine plug contacts fine. So still under warranty what to do? well at 49 inches and no longer having the packaging anyway a real hassle to send it back, plus I would have probably been offered a replacement model: No way because on top of this problem there had been an ongoing problem all along; which is that these TVs have a light at the front which goes out when you switch the TV on, but switches on when you switch the TV off. Therefore you are still burning electricity when its switched off and its a pretty bright light. Result I took it out into the back yard and cut it up with my angle grinder so it could fit in my bin. My opinion Chinese made trash due to no quality control or worthless quality control. Further I also bought from Kogan a Stainless Steel super duper toaster, and guess what again made in China, I have hardly used it yet it toasts unevenly, and it went into the bin two days ago. And I have now ordered a convection toaster oven from Big W 30 dollars saving (Which I checked was genuine as compared online with other retailers) 69 dollars 82 dollars including postage, so the saving covered the postage and I still saved 13 dollars. Conclusion I will still look for good deals on Kogan, but I will never purchase a larg and costly item again if it is made in China. And I have just purchased a Panasonic HD smart TV from the Good Guys absolutely rapt with it, and I may do a review later..Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

really bad
I only bought this TV to stream movies. Luckily does work on Netflix but none of the others like Stan or Presto work.
Remote is impossible to use you HAVE to download an app for another remote which is also very difficult to use.
Picture quality is very bad and blurry
Can't watch anything live such as the news THE PROJECT as it skips and makes crackling sounds. First I thought it was my aerial then realised it happened on all live shows
Koran please don't respond to me your generic replies are infuriating. Just don't false advertise and Noone needs to complain

One word.. Rubbish
I should have known better as this is the second Kogan Smart TV I've had and its actually even worse than the first one from 2012.. I actually have a Samsung smart TV and recently brought a LG smart TV so I know what the term smart is all about and the Agora isn't it.. Its just a TV with a terrible built in android dongle.. With the last Kogan smart TV I had which was actually just for the bedroom (so no big deal) I ended up buying a android 4.4 kitkat dongle off ebay which worked a treat, so much quicker than the un-upgradeable android 4.2. bu...Read more
ilt into the tv. Now this new Kogan Agora 4.4 kitkat is even slower than the 4.2.. It doesn't Stream anything except youtube and I'm using a NBN network, so I took it back to the Kogan pop up shop where I got it from and we tried it there also.. we upgraded the firmware and used their wifi and youtube was the only thing that worked.. No 7plus, 9Jumpin or Ten play app or the website streaming, was just left there waiting and the assistant said the memory is not up the standard for using these services.. So I said this is the reason I brought your smart TV and if it cant be smart then I'd like a refund as its a kogan product and within 14 days as stated.. But was only told by the assistant that they don't accept returns from the shop and have to book it online to get it back to Kogan.. Ok, thats fair enough I guess, but when it came to returning it back online I was told I'm the one that has to cough up the $28 return postage.. and the return address is in St Albans, Melbourne which isn't too far from me so I thought I could drop it off.. and then I'm told 'no public drop off's'.... has to be done by courier.. which they can arrange and take the $28 out my refund.. So thats a cool $28 wasted for nothing.. So Better think about all this when buying a smart TV from Kogan, even the weather app doesn't work on the home screen which looks pretty cool on their screen shots. Plus the standby light is so bright it lights up half the room in a bedroom.. But I'll be going to the accc with this one.. Stay tuned for the results...Similar opinion?
