Product not the same as advertised
We just received the Optimum 600 3rd generation as advertised by Froothie. The videos and wording all indicate a wide mouth juicer, with a large 8cm mouth. At no point in time did the site indicate that this unit will not come like the one advertised. The one we received has a small opening at the top, with a small tamper. It also has a large opening, that gets closed off by a flap when opened. The almond milk recipe on you tube shows the use of a ladle to feed the machine. On this unit, feeding anything with a ladle would be impossible.

e warranty on the site says lifetime on motor and 5 years on parts. The included warranty booklet contained in the box says only 2 years is provided. With longer warranties available through third parties. The site/advertisement videos show that the unit can make sorbet, etc with a blank grate, but the unit didn’t come with this attachment. These points are concerning on a couple of different levels. Why make such a fuss over the improved large mouth and shorter prep time if the unit supplied don’t even have that functionality? I truly can’t believe that any modern (online) company would even attempt to get away with something like that.4 comments
Francois,
The photos don’t show the considerable change in the fact that the latest generation unit isn’t a wide mouth unit. The videos shown at the bottom, shows specifically how much time is reduced... Read more

We've since made it clear that the videos are of the 1st generation 600 :) Please note our shute is 8cm large and is just as large as our old 600 and 700 units. We are glad that you're enjoying your unit :) Please do not hesitate to let us know if there's anything at all we can assist with. Kind Regards Francois General Manager

I use this every day!
The Optimum 600 Juicer is a pleasure to use I use it for vegetable juices mainly but also make home made electrolyte using orange and lemon juice as a base, then adding Himalayan Pink Salt and raw honey. It doesn't take much effort at all to clean as the pulp remaining in the juicer loosens up with water added after juicing is complete. The filter works beautifully and pure juice pours out into the jug when the cover of the shute is open. The juicer is very well designed and made.

nefits of fresh juice but used to dread the time consuming process every single day. No more! Faster preparation of fruit and veg, quieter operation and super fast cleanup make my Optimum Juicer a pleasure to use. The whole family enjoys the pure pulp-free juices I prepare. I make natural electrolyte drink by adding filtered water, raw honey and Himalayan Pink Salt to combined orange and lemon juice. Fruit and veggie juices are prepared daily and are handy for ensuring we have proper nutrition even if life gets really busy or anyone is not feeling well. This is the third juicer I have owned and is so superior to the first two that I can't imagine how it could be improved.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not what was advertised to us... Disappointed.
We ordered the Optimum 600 3rd Generation cold press juicer because of what we saw advertised online.
It was advertised to make juices, smoothies, ice cream, nut butters, tofu etc.
It was also advertised to have a wide mouth to juice whole apples and larger fruits and vegetables.
On top of having to wait nearly a month for it to arrive (it was on pre-order however there were many delays), when we unpacked it a lot of the pieces advertised (such as a blank strainer and ice cream attachment) were not there.
We contacted Froothie to ask about ...Read more

I would like to sincerely apologize for the experience you had with our company. We take pride in our commitment to customer service and I see we have seriously failed in this instance. Such matters the team and I take immensely seriously as demonstrated by the thousands of online reviews on various websites in Europe, Australia and recently the US. I am aware you have experienced a lengthy delay in fulfilling your order and I understand how this has generated frustrations and distrust. I would also like to apologise for the advertising error on our website about the Optimum 600 3rd Generation being supplied with a blank strainer. The part was not available in the original shipment we received but it is now included in each Optimum 600 3rd Generation. Making nut butters, ice cream and sorbet is a breeze now The Optimum 600 3rd Generation is the latest juicer we have launched. We understand that we have currently a limited number of videos showing the product in action but we are working hard with our partners to get new videos released for our customers. We will post those on our YouTube channel as soon as available. Once again, I apologize if you feel we did not live up to your expectations and I want to thank you for the feedback you provided as it helps us to further improve our services. In case you have any other questions, I will be more than happy to personally help, so feel free to get in touch anytime at [email protected]. I sincerely regret these inconveniences and hope to regain your trust as a Froothie customer. :) Respectfully, Andrea M Customer Relationship ManagerSimilar opinion? Contrary to claims, a nightmare to clean
I am utterly baffled at everyone repeating the company's claim that it is easy to clean - it is a nightmare, takes a good 10-15 minutes of rinsing and scrubbing even when done immediately after use, and has one bit that is supposed to be given a final wash differently from the rest/not in detergent - I never would have bought it had I known, I don't want a glass of juice so badly as to waste all the many litres of rinsing water involved - may be worth it for large families/households, but otherwise forget it.

I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you have encountered with our Optimum 600 3rd Generation Cold Press Juicer and your disappointment saddens me. Quality is paramount, our entire business is built on the slogan “Quality you can trust”, and therefore even isolated cases are taken very seriously by Froothie and Optimum. Your Optimum 600 3rd Generation Cold Press Juicer is a high quality, superior appliance, meant to be a devoted and powerful assistant in your day-to-day kitchen activities. It was not designed solely for large families/households and our engineers spent months making sure the appliance is easy to use and especially easy to clean. We are aware that the dreading cleaning part is the #1 reason juicers are forgotten on the kitchen bench, left to gather dust, and we definitely wanted to avoid this with our product. I would like to share a few tips you can apply to make the cleaning process a lot easier - these are tricks that can be used for the Optimum 600 3rd Generation as well as for any other masticating or cold-press juicer (as they all operate the same). Before you try to separate the juicer parts, please try the following: • Rinse two glasses of water through the slow juicer. • Add a glass of water, while the drain valve is closed so that the water remains in the juice cup. • Press the reverse button. This ensures the pulp is pushed-out of the juicer. • Open the drain valve to allow the water to flow out. • Open the lid and remove the pulp. To clean the remaining parts, it is best to use the supplied cleaning brush. Also using the cleaning method above will make the disassembling process easier, and it is best to do this immediately after juicing. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. If there is anything else I can do to assist you and to regain your trust in our brand feel free to get in touch at [email protected] and I will be more than happy to personally help. Respectfully yours, Francois N Froothie Australia General ManagerPlease note that I never tried the suggestions above offered by Froothie's General Manager, so I can't say how much difference they would have made. Also that Froothie were customer-focused enough to refund 80% of the price.

Questions & Answers
Clinton M.asked
Whilst juicing some ginger, my 600 3rd gen's top hat exploded. It cracked open and a chunk of it, the size of a thumb, flew across the kitchen. Can this part be replaced & how do I get it? Clint.

Heath M.asked
What is mouth size in cms
2 answers
Hi Heath, If by 'mouth size' you mean the top of the chute where you push the fruit/veg through, it's about 80 cm., so will take a whole small apple, beetroot, etc. It's a generous size, and therefore reduces the time needed to chop everything.
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances
Hi Heath, the Optimum 600 has an 8cm chute size.
