Is there any way to transfer video copied to a USB Drive to a PC ?
Hi George, no you are unable to do this. The USB is meant as a backup device to use on this product only.
How do I access programs copied to a USB (On my PC).
Not doable, if recorded on DMR-HWT260GN it can only be viewed on same unit. Poor but panasonic's way of avoiding copyright infringement I guess.
Totally Absolutely SUCKS.
Would Never have bought it if I knew that !
Hi George, sorry to hear you aren't happy about this. A USB is a back up device to be used only on this product.

Hi...
Has anyone used the series recording function on this recorder.
can it be set from the guide or is it only from keyword.
Cheers
There is not a mute option. Surely we don't have to listen to ads.
use the mute option on your TV remote
Hi Izzy, the sound isn't controlled by the recorder, as mentioned above you will need to use the TV or your sound system remote.
Thank you. We have been doing that. We have been spoiled by having a Topfield PVR which more user friendly. We are getting used to the Panasonic .

All good now, turned it off at the main power point, waited 5 min and then turned it back on. Has been working properly since.
