Our new Panasonic PWT560GN Keeps powering itself off. How do I stop this?

Purchased this PVR three weeks ago and haven't been able to get it working properly ever since. It just doesn't communicate via HDMI cable, neither with the amplifier, nor with the TV.
With the Samsung TV, the PVR doesn't want to communicate at all, just spins the progress wheel on the black screen for a while, then shows "no signal" screen, and then the process repeats again forever.
And with the PVR connected to the TV via the Pioneer amplifier, it occasionally establishes the signal and can stay stable for up to an hour, but upon changing the amplifier input, the connection is lost and won't be regained if switched back to the PVR.
Tried different HDMI cables, different HDMI ports, switching all devices off and on and in different order, updating the firmware... Nothing made any difference.
Before purchasing this Panasonic DMR-PWT560, had an old Topfield PVR in this setup, and it worked perfectly fine for years until its HDD died of old age. Therefore there is nothing wrong with any of of the other devices.
Does anyone have any idea what else can be done? (Apart from contacting Panasonic support or taking this PVR back to the shop, as both of these would demand a tonne of personal details. To say goodbye to one's privacy in addition to getting a faulty device would be like adding insult to injury.)

Can I record two programs at the same time and watch live TV as well ??
Hi Richard, Please give our customer service team a call on 132600 and they will assist you with your enquiry.
Thanks
customer service team told me you can only watch live tv on the channels being recorded. we used to be able to watch live tv on another channel and record two programs on our previous hard drive recorder, Panasonic DMR-XW350
I record programs using the guide. When I playback I find it has stopped recording before the program has finished, why?
Dave, it may be because the program ran over the advertised time, a way to fix this in settings is to extend the before and end times by say 10 minutes so that it will record for the extra time.
HI Dave, if you still have issues please call 132600 and our customer service team will help you.
Thanks
My Panasonic DMR-PWT560GN is 13 months old and yesterday turned it on to watch and record tv, all networks were there when we turned it all off the night before but today when we turned it on the SEVEN network is not coming up. On screen it tells me that there is no service. Have checked all cables, antenna and have done channel search and installation twice but the Seven network channels do not work. The reception quality is 9 and the channel information bar comes up but no picture. The seven network is working fine through the TV that the recorder is connected to. We have a second tv and recorder and everything is fine with them. Has anybody had any problems like this with there machine ???? Cheers Keith

I Bought a Panasonic DMR-PWT560 Player / HDD Recorder so I could Tape Movies on to a portable Hard Drive off the home TV to replay on the TV in my Caravan when away. The Sales person (Harvey Norman) failed to tell me I can ONLY replay using the DMR-PWT560 Player / HDD Recorder. Other devices including a PC will not read the files. NOW on top of that I find I can no longer access SBS on Demand which I use all the time. Can you explain the reason. Very disillusioned with this product and the brand.
