The perfect bathroom companion

published

Having had a small digital dab+ radio in the bathroom, and when it started to play up ( due to constant use) we settled on the Panasonic RF D20U due to it's size and sound. When it was tuned to our favourite stations, which was reasonably easy. The sound emitted form such a small single speaker was better than expected. All the controls are on top, easy to view and operate. The readout for the time settings may be smallish for some, but found it was quite adequate for our needs.
I know it's early days, having had it for a short time but give it the thumbs up. If not we'll keep you posted.

A great little bedside radio

published

I wanted a good sounding DAB radio that had an alarm and a time display. On the radio side, it is easy to use and the sound is very good for such a little box. It has a solid, quality feel to it. Reception is great and everything works as it should. My one and only quibble is with the size of the time display. It is small and I need glasses to read it. Nevertheless, I very fond of this unit.

Better than some Digital Radios and shower proof for outdoors

published

This radio is said to have 8hrs battery life on alkaline for outdoor use when not plugged in. It is shower and splash proof for outdoor/ poolside use.
The volume is loud enough to be heard outdoors for about 15- 20 metres with limited background noise. It is only a single speaker and is of fair but not spectacular quality for digital reproduction. It picks up weak signals reasonably well with only a small amount of interference in some cases.
The programming and station selection are fairly straight forward. it has 5 fm & 5 digital memory slots. It does not have an earphone jack.
It does however have 1 low amp USB charging point. Its great for outdoor sport or music listening as it is a box that is stable on most surfaces.
