Waiting 3 Weeks For A Refund For A Product That Doesn't Work
Upon the advice of Pestrol, we purchased a Possum Away Possum Repeller to get rid of rodents in an outdoor space. We were told you could adjust the frequency to use for rodents. The product did absolutely nothing. I returned it, as they offer a money back guarantee, but it seems it is very difficult to receive your refund. I have now been waiting 3 weeks from the date Pestrol received the item back, only to be told the accounts person is away and they don't know when she will be back, so can't process the refund. Very poor service, and very disappointing.
Purchased in May 2022 for $149.90.
Worked to get rid of possums
This was a great solution to get rid of possums in my backyard. They used to make a mess, but since having the device they seem to avoid the area.

I can’t believe how quickly this product worked. Within a few hours my vege patch was protected from both Birds and Nocturnal animals having a feast during both day and night.

NO MORE DUCKS
Worked really well in getting rid of ducks from the pool area. I called Pestrol to get an advice what I can possibly use to getting rid of ducks ruining my pool area and they recommended this device even though it is for Possums. It took me a few goes to get it going right. The first time nothing seemed to be happening but after playing around with it, it started to work. I am glad I have persevered.

Worked straight away-no more possums
I use this product now for a few months, and as soon as I put it in the roof, the possum has left and haven’t been back. I couldn’t be happier as i can have my sleep again.

Worst after sales service I've experienced
I bought the plug in rats/mice deterrent and they seem to work. So I thought I would buy the Possum Deterrent as the Possums are driving me crazy. Put it in the roof with batteries (GREAT I think!!!) and after a couple of weeks it doesn't work properly. On the Friday I ring Pestrol. They can't work out whats wrong do they say someone "in the know" will ring me back. By Tuesday they still haven't rung back. So I ring again. No answer. So I email complaining about the "No call back", get an apology (only after I email again) and am told someone w...

So I ring another number I find from the Review Feedback and finally speak to someone who says that she passed the number to the Manager. He will DEFINITELY ring back Friday after 3:30. Guess what! No call back. So, I have a $145ish Possum Deterrent, that isn't deterring possums, numerous phone calls and emails and No One calling back. They advertise on 3AW how good they are, with a money back guarantee but can't call back to help you if it doesn't work. Not working at all, don't waste your $$$
I bought this device around November 2016 and put it on the roof in outdoor area. However, the possums still having party every single night and walk pass the device straight away...I just felt it's bad luck for me to waste more than $120 on this useless product...
To be honest, 60 days trial time is not enough in my case.
It actually can be an emergency intruder repellent with it's remote control...

Read more Unfortunately, the Possum Away Repeller's strobe light cannot be turned on or off as it automatically turns on when it senses a movement. I’ve recently purchased the possum away to rid my pool area of ducks and birds. However I can’t seem to get results. Called the help line, got advice to readjust the dials etc. but again no luck. Can anybody who has been successful please give me guidance on the settings that have worked for you. I really only want the ultrasonic stuff, don’t want to blast with sound or light.
