Slow postage, zero communication.
Placed an online order with Petbarn. Took three days before they shipped, and 7 days for it to arrive. Bit baffled since there is a pet barn 10 minutes away from my house. Had to reach out to Pet Barn to follow up on the shipping (still yet to receive a response), and followed them up again to follow up on the actual delivery since the entire process took so long - and the delayed shipping meant my dogs didn’t have food before the weekend. Another attempted reach out to Pet Barn with zero response.
Slow postage, zero customer service, ignores enquires. Would not recommend - plenty of other online retailers who sell products cheaper, post faster, and actually respond to their paying customers.

es to my enquiries. I have since received one response to the enquiries I have sent - which took over a week. Order number is 501087376. Petbarn need to be more proactive and process/ship their orders faster - otherwise don’t offer the service at all.

Trying to order items from them in QLD and I would be even willing to go to different stores but none of them has what they put up on their website.
Very poor management from the social media side.

Online ordering a waste of time
I gave up ordering from Petbarn 2 years ago due to online ordering problems but recently tried again as they had a good offer ($70 off when spend $250). Again impossible to order. I called customer service and was told to break my order up and see if that worked. I explained I would then not be eligible for the discount but was told to do the orders, ring back and they would organise the discount and delivery. I have never seen any message about this. I again did a click and collect but this time could only get what I need at a shop further away. Such inconvenient service. Woeful online ordering system
I have troubles each time I try and use their online ordering system and need to phone them to place the order - they are very helpful on the phone and try and fix the problem and they say they are aware of problems with their system but nothing ever seems to be done about this - it has been going on for years from my experience. I would expect much better from a company such as this. The other problem is that many of their specials are not in stock.

Dont use this company
Ordered food 11 days ago. After 4 days no contact about delivery. So canceled . Refund didnt come through so rang and they said 3 days. Its now Tuesday night and no refund . Contacted MD of Greencross but they havent done anything so must be a company culture . is 10 days ok to get an order? They think thats good. Is 6 days ok for refund (and counting) they think thats ok. BE WARNED

Missing items
Items never arrive and staff lies when I ask to provide a new tracking number. I was a Platinum member for two years and they are just getting worse and unbearable.

Poor online website, poor shop
Overpriced severely. Most overpriced petcare store, prices almost double of others. Refuse to shop there.
Crappiest online site the slowest!!! Been slow, crashing, never finds a product I type into search and not up to date with other fast websites for years. No longer bother with it.

Extremely poor customer service
I ordered a particular type of cat feeder on line as I didn't want to have to wait until the weekend to get it. When the parcel was delivered it had the right paperwork but a totally different product inside. I rang customer service who told me the best way to deal with this is to take the product to the store for exchange. informed her there was a store at The Crossroads which was closer. She couldn't find the store I was talking about so while I was on the phone to her I Googled the store and found that they call it Casula. She told me they had stock. I asked her to call them and ask them to put one away for me. She said she would and would give them my name. When I went there that Thursday night after work they told me they didn't have the stock and nobody had made the call. She said there wasn't anything she could do to get me the product I was after. I asked if she could check if they had it on line still and she told me that she couldn't access the online stock. I asked what she could do for me and she said she could refund the product. I asked if she would also refund the delivery and she said no, she couldn't do that. I asked why should I pay delivery for an incorrect product. Great Repeat Delivery Service!!!
Cheap, convenient, and on time! Even got free shipping! My order was communicated every step of the way and had a flawless online experience while setting it up. Price competitive once repeat delivery is selected which has made my life easier... set and forget!

Terrible site
Every time I go to buy on the Petbarn site the items that are listed show "Unavailable" when I click through to buy them. That's before I select my pickup store, and it happens over and over, each time I select a different flavour. It's also torture putting the order through; I login and the products in my basket disappear and I have to go through the whole ordering process again.
Then the payment process is unreliable. Paying by credit card, had a netcode sent to my phone SEVEN times because the process kept failing. Today, after 1/2 hour to order one box of food, I gave up. I just can't make payment!
Also pricewise there are much more competitive online sites these days.

Service gone bad
Ordered tablets for dogs on repeat order every three months $109.99. received wrong product three phone calls, three lies with its been sent etc..... nearly three months later out of pocket and no product. Very unprofessional customer service and don't practice their consumer protection laws which are quoted on their website page. Very disappointing won't be back order cancelled.

I am combining comments on both physical store and online experiences within this review).
In general, I have always found walking into a store a fairly pleasant experience. Helpful staff who do get to know you. I would appreciate them putting a clear sign up when they offer kittens etc that these animals are from rescue. A lot of people these days won't go and look unless they clearly recognise the status of such pets in a pet shop.

Absolutely terrible online store and pathetic customer service
My last two orders have had issues and the online shopping process is very poor. You often don’t know an item is out of stock until you have gone through to checkout. Then there’s the multiple “technical glitches” (their words) that see them take your payment but not pass your order onto the store. And then they don’t bother to tell you when it is eventually ready.

Do Not Order Online
I have ordered online a few times thinking somehow the service will improve but it never does. You get e-mails of special deals, place an order and then get an e-mail saying they are out of stock and will refund u in 24hours and the refund takes weeks. I will not be ordering online again.

Very disappointing
Bought 40 cans of dog food on line. As it was going to be heavy. Paid the delivery fee and received email to say 20 cans where out of stock but no offer to substitute. I may as well gone to the store and lugges it home

Appalling service
Have been trying to book a grooming appointment for days. The website will not load for some reason-keeps defaulting and says timed out. If they are booked out it should just tell you that! I’ve tried calling. No option to speak to anyone just the option to go online-we already know that doesn’t work- or leave a message to which they don’t reply. Absolutely Rubbish customer service.

Card Fraud
Had my ATM card used fraudulently by some low life, I was notified by my bank of the unusual activity straight away (spoke with bank), Then i made a call to Pet Barns offices of $325 used without my knowledge and all Pet Barn could say is let your bank sort it out, we a still sending the items - Top Work Pet Barn, anything to get a sale!

Despicable policies put my pets life at risk.
I had a repeat order set up with Petbarn online to supply prescription dog food. This food is what is keeping my dog alive, so I placed considerable importance on the regular and timely delivery of this dog food.
