Good for lots of things

published

I have found that an airfryer is good for certain things but not everything.
froze fish, chips, nuggets etc I find its actually better than the deep fryer - not just in terms of being heathier but it tastes better.
Some things though I still find are better fried, but all in all happy

Could be better

published

This is my second one of these as the first one had an electrical fault so had to take it back but this one so far seems to be working fine. It makes a whirling noise when it is on though. I think it does a decent job of cooking the food although haven't tried to put anything big in it yet. Everything seems to heat/cook evenly.

Quick Roast Veggies

published

We love using our airfryer to do roast vegetables, just toss in a tiny amount of oil and cook for 20 minutes. Pumpkin turns out beautiful carmalised.
The only issue I have with it is that oil/grease bakes onto the cooking drawer and it is quite difficult to keep it spotless clean.

This is my absolute new favorite thing- so easy to use and great results every time. Great way to make healthier food choices that still feel a bit naughty. Highly recommend if you have the space in your kitchen as you will definitely want to keep it out to use all the time!

Reliable rand with good quality

published

I have ought this air fryer after seeing all advertisement in the TVs alone. I found his is a very useful product and you can use this for almost more than one kilo of chips for an example in I. it is wise to buy the bigger capacity one rather than the small one under the same brand. I do not find any problem with the product itself. It is easy to operate and maintenance as well.

Amazing and quick to use

published

Amazing cookwear for roast lamb, chicken, sausages, vegetables, hot chips or anything. The fryer drains all the fat leaving the food moist and juicey. I would highly recommend for anyone who is trying to lose weight or wants a quicker faster way to cooking food. The smallest size is great for two people.

Very disappointed with its lifetime

published

I bought this Airfryer less than 2 and half years ago and have hardly used it. I mostly used it for fries or spring rolls etc occasionally. Last week when i tried to switch it on it didn't turned on. I tried different power points and left it for a while and tried again but nothing worked. I was very surprised that a product from Philips will die like that and its not a cheap product. I am really very disappointed with the lifetime of this Air-fryer and regretting the decision of buying this where i had the option to buy one from Tefal.
I would recommend to people who are thinking to buy airfryer from phillips please read reviews about lifetime of this product before making decision. I have just read some similar reviews on other forums.

quick, clean, great appliance

published

Great Product, doesn't take up much room, easy to clean, and cooks in under half the time of the oven, great product. Really comes into its own when cooking from frozen and quick meals for one. And very handy for quick eats when friends drop in unannounced! The only down side is the cord is a little short.

Very impressed

published

Never thought I would use an airfryer but since my wife purchased this it has been fantastic. We use to make our own chips and fry chicken all the time.
Improvements would be making it slightly easier to clean, slightly bigger and a more comprehensive timer system as it pretty much runs on an egg timer.

Great!!

This makes cooking normally fried food so much better.
I though it would be another of those silly things that sit in the cupboard, but we use it all the time.
I only today, did garlic bread in it and was so much nicer than the oven. And the really great thing, you don’t have to wait for the oven to heat up.

Small Airfryer

published

The cooking result is generally OK but timing is very important and the food might be over cooked if they are left in the Airfryer to cool down.It is too small if I want to prepare meals for a few days. In addition, somehow I also don't enjoy the cleaning part...

Great when it works ..

published

This served me well especially with a busy family.....except it only lasted about 1.5 years. Mine is completely dead - it won't power up. Unfortunately, it's out of warranty. It seems a lot of people had the same problem - providing negative reviews. I wonder what's Philips doing about this.

Family missed the air fryer but I'm not buying any Philips product again - like I ditched LG products. Once bitten twice shy! One would expect a good quality product for a high priced item in comparison with other brands.

Best. Invention. Ever.

Ever feel guilty about eating fried food? No more, unleash your love for fried goods with an Airfryer.

Seriously tho, it's good. I basically use no oil when I cook my frozen potato chips. Does fish and chips quite well I found. However, if you use it for something that's not battered, your food tends to stick to the mesh, super annoying to clean when that happens. Otherwise, cleaning is quite simple, just pop it in a dishwasher & forget about it.

Awesome way of healthy cooking!

published

Great results, so simple and easy to cook food. It's quick and a much healthier option rather than frying. We can adjust the temperature and time and it automatically starts and offs when the timer is up. Saves a lot of time and resources and making cooking fun, giving time to do other activities.

great little machine - very easy to use
Consider this - fish and chips for the family only takes about 25 mins with this machine :
- 1 minute to puth the fish and chips in and set temp and timer on
- I then go play with my daughter for 15 mins before I go and check up on the process and give the basket a quick toss

-I then go back play with my daughter again for another 10 mins before plating up out feast

HOW GREAT'S THAT!!

Great, healthy & fast cooking

published

Very easy to use, not that bad to clean either I have found that I can use a little oil or none, but don't get me wrong it does taste nicer with a little oil.
Have cooked many meals roast pork, lamb etc... Though have found the only meal I was a little disappointed with was the fresh chips they seemed to taste burnt on the outside and raw in the middle following the outside guide to.
It is a little costly but worth the $$$.

Worth purchasing

published

So far i have been pleased with this purchase, however, i do feel the baking dish should be included in the price.
It heats my chicken quickly and efficiently, also cheese on toast, chips, pies and i am going to do a roast in it soon in the baking dish i purchased which is extra cost. I think it really does cook faster and reduces the amount of fat you would consume, making it a healthy product and it is weight watchers approved. So as a healthy option i am for that.

Did our home work this came up as one of the better ones.

published

I would go for the digital one before the non-digital from what I have read online. So did. This unit does take a bit of getting used to. The international symbol "manual" leaves quite a bit to be desired. Device is not bad to clean. The lack of a decent handle to carry it by and to ease stowing in a cupboard is annoying.

Forgot to say, do not try to pick it up or carry it by the frying draw handle. It would really hurt when the thing fell on your foot leaving you standing there holding only the drawer
