So I brought this bottle over 6weeks ago as my exclusively breastfed 4 month old baby was now refusing a bottle. It took several attempts over the weeks but finally I am happy so say she has taken the bottle. This has now given mummy a new found sense of relief I can leave her with family for a few hours and now she will be fed.
I found that although she refused it to bring with I let her play with an empty bottle and she would attempt to pick it up and drink from it. I let her do this over several days and then when I gave it to her she began to latch and feed from it. I hope this will work for other parents who face themselves with fussy little bubs

I didn't plan on doing a lot of bottle feeding with my baby, just one a day or night for my husband to experience it as well. But as things didn't go to plan I ended up doing more bottle feeding than anticipated.
The bottles have been excellent. My baby will still go on the breast even with multiple feeds from a bottle. I was concerened he wouldn't do both and only want the bottle once he got on it but nope, happy with either.
I also found he was A LOT less gassy after a bottle feed and would settle for his nap easier than he would after brea...
I can't believe why I waited so long to try these bottles. Bub is mainly breast fed but I would give her ebm from time to time. I used Avent Natural bottles and the teats collapse and she would have milk dribbling from the sides of her mouth. The Pigeon wide neck teat fits the Avent Natural bottle a bit loosely but will not move once it is screwed in place. Only complaint is that it is expensive.

After not being able to breastfeed for more then 4 weeks due to lack of supply my midwife suggested that I was to put my baby on formula as she was losing weight. I started off with the avent classic and She seemed to go alright on these bottles and same with the closer to nature bottles but she made a clicking sound every time she fed and was taking 40 minutes to drink 100mls. We Tried the pigeon bottles and haven't looked back. My baby now finishes her bottles in 15 minutes 20 minutes max. The only bad thing about the bottle is that you have to buy the teats separate so it ends up being costly but definitely worth it.

My bub used tomee tippee before but seems like she just play with the teats and drink no more than 50 ml. I tried to buy this pigeon, she likes it. So soft, no spill out from her mouth, no rejection so far, no play with the teats. Will keep continue to using it to my bub

This is the only bottle my breastfed son appears to take well if I get it into his mouth correctly and far enough.... otherwise he'll just chew it. Have tried other brands/styles of teats to no avail. This teat gets his lips flanged out and is soft enough for him to suck.

Every case is different but, they were recommended by my lactation consultant. If you want to breastfeed and bottle feed EBM (useful when having twins) they will minimize nipple confusion and dramas when breastfeeding. My twins feed with no problems, very different when I use the regular Avent teats. They're easy to find at the chemist.
Shape, texture, fits Avent wide neck bottles.

I have tried several bottles with my 5 month old breastfed boy but he would fuss and get upset. After reading several reviews about the pigeon bottle I was excited to try him on it. He did fuss for a few minutes but then actually drank from it. YAY YAY YAY!
Well priced, real like teats
He does get a little bit of air while drinking from it

My lactation consultant recommended pigeon wide neck bottles with peristaltic teats for my partly breast fed baby as they most closely resemble a human nipple.
These were by far the best bottles that I tried. Well designed, no leakage, my baby liked them. The pigeon teats also fitted the Avent bottles that I already owned.
As the teats aged they started to stick together as my baby sucked so I had to keep removing the teat from her mouth to let air bubble into the bottle before I could continue. I probably should have replaced the teats as this did not occur until after a long period of use.

Pigeon bottles are made of glass or plastic. Their teats are excellently shaped to help baby get onto the bottle. Start with the S flow. The Y flow is for when they are 6+ months. It is a variable flow teat and perfect when he is tired and wants to suck really hard to get the milk down. The bottles are made such that he has never sucks the teat flat which happens with another brand that we have been using. The bottles and teats can be bought at pharmacies.
Auto airflow, Good handbag sizes, Easy to clean

Overall.. was the only bottle my son drank out of after changing from breast to bottle. Great air flow so less likely to swallow any air. Easy for bub to hold.
Easy to find extra teats when needed. Was teh only bottle my boy took to from breast feeding.
Teat was hard to clean.
This is good brand to use either in plastic or glass; normal or wide neck bottle. Should be set the market in wide ranges and more areas/place;easy to but in all shops or at least all pharmacy and at reasonable price.
easy use it, easy clean
too expensive can't get/but this brand easily (normal/wide neck bottle either in glass or plastic; normal/wide neck dummy to fit the bottle); not all the shop in Australia carry this brand.

I used these when i weaned my son, we called it his "sucky" bottle! I didnt use them for normal feeds as they took to much sucking.Have tried them with my new baby but she prefers the "Mam" ultivent.May be useful once i wean her as a "sucky" though! I think you can use the bottle with other teats but it concerns me now that they arnt BPA free
Love the shape, easy to hold, natural nipple, good fore a comfort feed!
The baby seems to have to suck very hard to get the liquid,i find my daughter doesnt eat as much with this one.Not BPA free
Questions & Answers
May I know why the milk keep leak from the teat when my baby suck on the nipple? And how come my baby keep fuss at the milk bottle during the beginning of the feed?
How do I get the bottle to release the air consistently? I keep having to pull the bottle out of my babies mouth to let air in and I don’t have the lid too tight. She gets frustrated each time the pressure builds up and it’s making feeding extremely stressful
I stretch the teat before pulling it into the white plastic part. If it continues to get stuck i press on the air flow part to unblock it. Yes it is annoying
Which Wide neck soft touch teat is best for use with thickener? I find it gets stuck in some tests. The thickener states medium flow but I’m not sure which Pigeon Teat that would be. Thanks for your help.
Im not sure as I have never used thickener before. I would assume a medium flow teat aimed for a slightly older baby say 4-6months with slow flow being newborns and fast flow for 8month plus. Sorry I cannot be more helpful
