POF ignores user changes to age range search.
Returned to the site after a long absence and sought a different date range. Search ignores the date range I enter and keeps resetting itself. I have tried it on a laptop with a basic and an advanced search and in desperation, installed the app on my phone but still the same problem. Any change to age I make it ignore. Pretty useless to have a dating site where I cannot set the date range I am seeking. What a waste of time and effort. Just pleased I found this before paying any money to them. Do not waste your time with a product that ignores a critical seach data.

Worst site in the world.
Please people to not join or pay for this site, Plenty of scammers and fake profiles. The people who run this site don't give a damn and there is absolutely no help from staff.
All they care about is getting your money. There are other better sites out there. You have been warned!

Why all of a sudden you're logging on & it's saying user name or password is incorrect!
Number one tip if you don't want your account deleted.. don't block anyone, don't report anyone & don't reject anyone so they can block you!
The reason why most women are getting booted off is because they are being blocked too much! And get this.. they will not let you recreate another account, because they flag your IP address, so every time you try to recreate another account - no matter what information you use, it will not let you! I know, because I tried eight times on five different devices & none of them worked.. until I turned off wi-...Read more
fi & did it via 4G on my phone! Here is my advice.. if you receive a message from anyone you're not interested in, don't even reply back.. just delete it.. because once you reply, they have the ability to block you if for no other reason than they want to remove you from their list or because they're annoyed that you've said you aren't interested .. & if you get a certain number of blocks per day, your account gets automatically deleted with no warning!! Oh & don't bother emailing.. I did twice & got an automated reply that they're too busy to respond.. so if you've paid for a membership, you're screwed.Similar opinion? Some real people but lots of fakes
Just so many scammers and fakes and what I think are probably lonely kids who just fool around on this site. The good looking men and women are almost certainly fake profiles. Some are money scammers, some are just catfish, using the site for entertainment.

This is crap. CAN live without it!
Absolute disgrace. Pay $ only to be hounded by scammers. i'm at a 12:1 ratio at the moment. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
P.O.F. should be re-titled as Plenty Of Frauds.. Or perhaps, Phishing Our Funds. Either way, I'm cancelling my subscription and using another apps. One that is soooooooo much better, and it begins with the letter Z.

Fake Profiles, feels unsafe
This is my 3rd day on POF.
I tried POF years ago, but don't remember it being this bad.
Most of the replies I have received have been from Escort girls & fake profiles.
Most of my time has been spent reporting these profiles to support & sending "Test" questions to those I'm interested in to see if they are real.
It's frustrating & disappointing to say the least and worst of all, it feels unsafe.
Every communication feels risky & im constantly concerned if I'm going to get hacked.

Rubbish
They say that you get what you pay for. PoF is littered with obviously fake accounts, sends notifications from non-existent accounts of people who "want to meet you", and does not enforce its stated rules for creating account profiles. There are plenty of real people on PoF, but sorting them from the fake rubbish is annoying. And the PoF matching algorithms are clearly not as discerning as other dating apps - I have found women on multiple apps that matched with me on PoF, but when I checked their profile on the other app I wondered what the hell PoF was matching on apart from gender, age, and location. Avoid if you can.

Hacked account, trolls and stupid support staff.
Avoid at all costs. Staff are either stupid or complicite in the scam. Account hacked and closed after 2 days. Dozens of trolls trying to get you to cam girl site. Staff say open new account and pay again. Yeah right as if. 8 months membership blown in 2 days. You will spend hours being trolled by dirty hooker skanks with fake pics.

Not all men are bad
Met an amazing guy on here and we are still together.
I also met my ex online and he's nothing but a con artist and personally think that all women should be aware of people like this.
They will lie and leave you in financial hardship to get what they want. Becareful who sweeps you off your feet, if it's too good to be true then he probably is and there's a lot of them on POF.

total waste of time & effort for the average guy
200 profiles interacted with, only managed 2 got email or phone contact details, 80% will ghost you after exchanging 2 messages, 1 in 20 are polite to say you not really what im looking for good luck fishing ect.
There is a general rule 4 to 1 men to women on dating sites and women in general follow 80/20 rule ie 80% of women only find 20% of men average or better, using basic maths average guy has 1% chance of getting a date.

They keep deleting my profile
I have set up numerous profiles and 30 minutes after it gets deleted. It takes almost an hour to complete the profile and questions, and I am 100% open and honest about me and my life, not asking anyone for sex but I do state I am adventurous which is super important for people to know. That's the only thing. I word it that I am 'adventurous'. There is one guys profile on there saying blatantly he is looking for sex, and another who insinuates all women use dildos whrn a guy brushes up against their arm.
I am genuinely 100% looking for a life p...Read more

Running in Circles
I was told about this site through FB. I went to register, tried to continue as the box said, up comes box on the right-hand side saying User name or email, Don't click on it, if you do another box comes up saying, don't use email in User box, but it automatically does this anyway. So frustrating. When you go to HELP, about REGISTER, it says we use SMS text messages to send to your phone, but there is NO BOX to add your phone when registering, beats me how your suppose to receive texts if there's no box to record your phone number.
The only wa...Read more
y to receive HELP is when you log-in, but you can't get past Continue, it won't register your profile or User name nor p/w, you just keep going around in circles So frustrating I gave up, not worth getting angry over a site that doesn't provide anyway of contacting them, unless you sign in, and there's the rub, press continue to nowhere, they only send SMS to your phone that they haven't supplied a box to enter itSimilar opinion? Traumatized
Before I even finished completing my profile I was getting "likes"
Guys say they want genuine relationships but constantly ask for nude pics / dirty chat
The one guy I did meet in person was rude, inappropriate, disrespectful, a disgisting sleaze who physically assualted me

Pain on the butt as i had to go thru and change every password i have as they hacked my email as well. Dodgy site, avoid like the plague.

If I pay for a membership how will it show up on my company credit card
2 answers
Since you are misusing your company card, instead of your own card, this makes you a thief.
Your only asking this because you want to be able to try and get away with stealing the money, by trying to hide it in your company account as an expense. Personally, I hope your boss meets you down a dark alley and breaks your nose.
You never said the company was actually yours.
Why are you hiding this from YOUR DAUGHTER?????
Why is your daughter doing all your book work??????
I responded to your question in a way that seems totally appopriate. Your using --- "A company credit card" --- and your wanting to see if you can conceal the expenditure....... If your NOT worrried about it showing up on your companies accounts, why are you asking this question? e.g. You want to see if it can be concealed.
That rings alarm bells as corporate / white collar theft.
And now your into KEEPING SECRETS from your daughter, who also does your books, you say.
Why would anyone do such a thing? That is suspect / wierd.
What you say might be true, but the more you open your trap, the more reasons there appear to be, to not trust you at all.
I hear that type of garbage from my crack / meth head neighbours, who are also into dealing in drugs, stolen credit cards, and robbing peoples houses, cars and business's.
Fast talking "Instant answers to everything and honesty about nothing".
And the way you phrased that first question, it was a dishonest kind of a question.
And since your the one who wanted to spend time AND money on the site, with ~300 reviewers out of 324 reviewers, saying it's a BAD place to deal with, why are you not asking the people who run the site or paying attention to the reviewers who are almost wholly, saying it's bad.
This defiency also shows a "rocks in the head" crystal meth mentality.

If u deleted your account 3 years ago would u still be getting meet me from pof?
1 answer
You need to ask much more insightful questions. Open the email as a plain text email and go sifting through the code for all the markers for a genuine or fake email. You need to use your brain and to do some hard thinking and research for a change.
