Full of fake profiles. Complete rip off!
Biggest waste of money! Every single message I received was from fake profiles asking me to click links, sign up to webcams, ect. Complained and they refused to refund monies.

Scam!
Why, after spending an hour completing a profile, did I get bumped off the site and unable to log in. Repeated requests to reset my passwords have not fixed the problem.

Rubbish
I’ve had 3 scammers send me messages on POF they have similar MO’s very attractive not many pictures and want you to move to another site to communicate ie email, Facebook. But ask them some standard questions and they’ll make all sorts of excuses or delays to answer!
Example
Q:Where do you live?
A: let’s talk more about yourself!
Really don’t waste your time!
The admins really need to work on cleaning up this site

Waste of energy and time
Been on this site on and off for about a year, message people and get no response and when you do they just cut you off and you never hear from them again. Most of the profiles are fake and what's with the meet me feature it just shows you women that live in another state really going to travel to 500kms to go on a date, don't waste your time and money you would be better off without it.

It was a waste of money to subscribe and a waste of time to use this service
I just could not believe what happened once I upgraded my account by paying for my subscription:
The number of responses actually dropped, and contacts from prostitutes and scammers went way up.
I was so frustrated I wanted out after a couple of days but, customer service refused to accept my request.
I was stuck with this useless subscription for 3 whole months. I am glad it is going to be over in a week.
Never again. No POF for me, thank you.
This site was quite good when it was totally free, 10 years ago. The company was very different then.
I recommend avoiding POF and finding a better, cleaner, more effective site to find a partner.

Very limited unless you pay
There is a "Meet Me" but you can't see it unless you pay for a membership
Someone wants to meet you, you get a notification but you can't see it because you need to "Upgrade" in other words PAY
You can search a criteria, but you can't search a user name.
It's free to create a profile and browse other profiles, but there are limits.
Been on it for years and years, had no luck finding a partner.
Some of the profiles are FAKE, a photo that could not possibly belong to a 65 year old, or some are foreign fakes, use photos of people in other countri...Read more

Beware of scammers
Women really need to beware of the scammers on this site. False profiles who either want money or want to use your bank account to transfer money into. Unfortunately I was persuaded to communicate on what's app so abusive conversation was not recorded on POF so cannot block this user to protect myself. He is going under the profile name Snak3 (47) and claims to live in Buderim Qld using the name Martin Cross. They certainly come across as well educated but thankfully when stories started to sound suspicious I backed away. I am one of the lucky ones thankfully.

Receive POF-sent email messages for someone wanting to meet me. Try and retrieve, POF asks me to pay membership first.
The claim they are free and effective.
My experiences are raw and ready and am wondering how they can claim to be free if you are not allowed to view the messages that they claim are waiting for you if you log in. When you do login, you are told of the memberships on offer.
However, POF indicate nothing about allowing you to freely receive and send messages. I perceive even with taking out membership POF will to "drip feed" 1 per day that is if they can't find a way around it.
I am looking for an ordinary man around my age, asking and offering nothing untoward or unethical.

This platform is designed for clients to never find a partner.
This dating site never wants its customers to actually find love. Because then they will leave the site. The creator of this site constantly sends spam emails to you asking for you to buy the premium service. Suggesting that with premium you will have a much higher chance of finding someone. They are very slow to delete spam account that try and make you go to payed live cam show sites. Years of disappointment with Plenty of Fish.

It is rather a scam site than a dating site.
It's not even worth a star. This site should be taken to fair-trading. It is as if the whole thing is a sham. There's plenty of profiles, they seem to be genuine but actually they are not. The messages never goes through if it ever did you would wonder why would only peeps who are polite are trying to sign you up for strip show or some naughty chat. Absolutely disgraceful.
Making money out of people who are genuinely looking to connect with another human. Taking the subscription money but actually providing no service for it. Who knows how many people are ripped off by these crap of crooks. Don't sign up absolute waste of time.

Same as Frances. I've read enough to warrant me not bothering again.
I've read enough here to satisfy my complaint. Never again with POF (or RSVP for that matter). They're all a scam, and as I said to a friend recently, I'll just take my chances the old fashioned way. The minute I rejected a number of people, they blocked me. Wow, talk about thin skinned, not even a chance to explain my reasons (ie not suited, too far away, photos of 10 years or older etc). Last weeked I tried to log into my account, and.....well, you can guess the rest. Wrong user name or password (although I had been using the same user/passwo...Read more
rd for over a year). Try as I might, still got the same response. Tried to get them to reset my password by sending them my email address a number of times to no avail. Tried writing to them only to get an automatic response giving me "tips" of what to do, again, to no avail. Was informed that this email address is not monitored. Tried other ways of contacting, but alas, not successful. So I gave up and found my way to this site to lodge a complaint. Lo and behold, I was beaten to the punch when it was revealed that I was not alone. Since everyone on here has pretty much said the same thing, I will count my losses, cancel my credit card and be on my way. Plenty of fish indeed, plenty of misery and disappointment. Try the old way, it'll be much less frustrating.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Absolute rubbish - don’t waste your time.
I was drawn to this platform due to PoF stating that messages were sent when they were not, in fact they were simply sent into the ether and deleted. I wasted hours of time trying to reconnect for this reason.
I was fool enough to pay to go premium, big mistake. Absolute rubbish site.
Don’t waste of effort or any time on this site, there are so many failings that there are too many to list. One star is one too many.

Plenty of F@pping
POF is a virtual pig-pen swimming with sub-standard personalities lacking in communication skills and basic human etiquette.
Even though I made it quite clear that I was not interested in sexual encounters of any nature, I was constantly inundated with offers to watch younger men "get naughty" and I had men in their fifties offering to "kiss my pink bits" whilst asking questions about the tightness of my butthole.
If that wasn't bad enough, there were people whose profiles clearly didn't match their pictures. For example, some would describe...Read more

Shameful Sham.
Looks good to start with. Dozens of profiles to view but when you try to contact someone it's impossible. the constant reply is "This person only responds to certain users" and there is NO WAY you can become one of those users. What a completely useless thing to have on a dating site. Who ever thought it up at POF HQ is an idiot. Why have a dating site when you can't contact each other? Why not just have a good honest site? POF would make more money that way surly. I thought I was an intelligent mature man but nope, got duped by this shameful sham.

If I pay for a membership how will it show up on my company credit card
2 answers
Since you are misusing your company card, instead of your own card, this makes you a thief.
Your only asking this because you want to be able to try and get away with stealing the money, by trying to hide it in your company account as an expense. Personally, I hope your boss meets you down a dark alley and breaks your nose.
You never said the company was actually yours.
Why are you hiding this from YOUR DAUGHTER?????
Why is your daughter doing all your book work??????
I responded to your question in a way that seems totally appopriate. Your using --- "A company credit card" --- and your wanting to see if you can conceal the expenditure....... If your NOT worrried about it showing up on your companies accounts, why are you asking this question? e.g. You want to see if it can be concealed.
That rings alarm bells as corporate / white collar theft.
And now your into KEEPING SECRETS from your daughter, who also does your books, you say.
Why would anyone do such a thing? That is suspect / wierd.
What you say might be true, but the more you open your trap, the more reasons there appear to be, to not trust you at all.
I hear that type of garbage from my crack / meth head neighbours, who are also into dealing in drugs, stolen credit cards, and robbing peoples houses, cars and business's.
Fast talking "Instant answers to everything and honesty about nothing".
And the way you phrased that first question, it was a dishonest kind of a question.
And since your the one who wanted to spend time AND money on the site, with ~300 reviewers out of 324 reviewers, saying it's a BAD place to deal with, why are you not asking the people who run the site or paying attention to the reviewers who are almost wholly, saying it's bad.
This defiency also shows a "rocks in the head" crystal meth mentality.

If u deleted your account 3 years ago would u still be getting meet me from pof?

You need to ask much more insightful questions. Open the email as a plain text email and go sifting through the code for all the markers for a genuine or fake email. You need to use your brain and to do some hard thinking and research for a change.
