What is the crunching noise on the mega polo? and where does it come from?
It's faulty and you need to get it replaced. See my review above. Two lemons and two of them made those noises. The first was very bad and the cord ended up sparking in the wall socket. A normal Poloc...

How do you clean the polo cool air con?
I’ve looked through the manual but I can’t find what dh stands for on the aircon where it’s suppose to tell the temperature. Can anyone answer please?
dh stands for dehumidifier, you can not change anything on that setting. Also they recommend detaching the exhaust on that setting and draining the water tank with a hose.......
I have the pool cool unit we bought it last summer and it worked great. I've just set it up today and it turns on fine works for about 10-15 mins then turns off. It's tripping the power board I've now tried two boards but it keeps happening. It's still under warranty but I don't understand why it's happening?
Dont use the power board with it. Plug it straight into the power point. Never use a power board or extension lead with it.
What is the noise level in decibels? I cannot find it in the specifications.
It's on the brochure (because I have purchased one) low/med/hi = 52/53/54 decibels
I need a plug for the back of unit where can I get one it come off and don’t know where it went now the water goes everywhere
Any old bit of rubber will do, that water is not under pressure. Just get some suitable rubber and shape it with scissors

Hello Kerry! Merry Christmas. The exhaust hose is bendible plastic, which is attached from the back of the air con and connects to the window with a via a piece of plastic flush with the window. The h...

The compressor keeps turning on and off? can I turn this thing off so it stay on?
To empty the water tank you have to drain it through the pipe in the back ... how do you empty this ? The pipe is to close to the ground to put a tray under it .. is there an easy way please ?
No it's very difficult especially on carpet. Easier to stick a towel down & let it drain onto it
What if you have it sitting on your carpet in your bedroom and can’t drain it onto a towel ?
There must be an easier way ?
I place my unit on a small cafe table. The outlet hose is up closer to the window, maximising efficiency and let the water drip just over the end of the table onto a bucket on the floor. This is the ...

Just bought the 6kw unit from Harvey Norman yesterday and it's doing a great job, but when the compressor is running it makes an intermittent "clunking"/"scraping" sound - is this normal? Does anyone else have the same problem?
I can live with the noise it if it's normal, but I'm concerned there may be something inside the unit that is being damaged while the clunking noise is happening
Thank you
I have the 4.4kw unit and it makes the same sound. I am hoping it is not an issue and so far so good, still working fine after 4 weeks. My previous De Longhi did not make this sound but it didn't cool as well either

I bought a 6kw unit on the 2nd of January 2017 from Harvey Norman and it makes the same noise as you have described. I was concerned about it too, but as others here have said their units make a similar noise, I guess it must be normal
Hi there, my 6kw polocool just stopped working!!! I used it two days ago and it worked fine now i just turned it on and waited about15mins and the compressor still hasn't turned on. its just out of waranty aswell. Any ideas or help would be great!
Doesn't matter if it's out of the manufacturer warranty, you still have a general consumer warranty that covers you for years after the manufacturer's warranty expires. Things are expected to work pro...

Take it back and tell them that and tell them if they don't deal with it immediately that you will, ring the accc and that will get their attention. Don't let them tell you you need to go to the manufacturer either, that's against the law, they have to deal with it if it's a problem that's not tour fault.pull the plug out of the bottom back and drain the water tank
We returned our POLOCOOL PC-44BP/c to Harvey Norman yesterday bc after 2 weeks of buying it the unit started to switch between cooling and fan modes. Upgraded to the PC-58AP/C yesterday but has the same problem.
Anyone have any suggestions?
it would depend on the thermostat setting on the unit and the room temperature. It is normal for the compressor to cut in and out, therefore it may not blow out refrigerated air depending on the temperature selected. Hope this explains it.
I recently purchased a 6.0kW unit and whenever the compressor goes on I hear a kind of thudding or rubbing noise (not continuous, just periodically) from inside the unit. Can anyone advise if this is normal or not?
Hi Andrew. We have a 6.0kW unit and cant say have ever heard anything like that with ours. Runs pretty smooth.
Interesting...yesterday I cut opened the fly screen part where the exhaust hose connects to the window and that's helped, the noise has stopped happening. Just wait n see what happens I guess.
Thanks
I have the 6.0kw machine also. When the compressor kicks in the noise is quite obvious. One might say the machine jolts a little or thuds and of course with the compressor going it is somewhat loud....
Read more However there is no rubbing noise and the machine runs smoothly as with fruju. They are an awesome machine and my unit has served me very well. cheaper machines produce a great deal more condensation, are less effective at cooling and break down much more quickly. In short this machine is very good and is more then worth the extra expense. The only retail place that I know that sells the unit, is Harvey Norman. They have awesome customer service and of course are very familiar with the machine so if in doubt reach out. If of course that is where you purchased it from.
