As expected upon purchase like most “stain removers” this does not work. I can almost guarantee that if most stains that be removed are simply scrubbed out with general cleaning products that they will come out. So when this is applied people may be lead to believe it was the stain remover that removed it when in actual fact it would have come out with or with out applying a stain remover.

Almost impossible to read instructions for use on bottle. I followed the pictures but it did not indicate that you are required to wash the spot after spraying. I have just found this information out by going online - 1 hour after spraying.

Work men had been at home putting In a new bathroom. Lots and lots of ingrained stains were left on the carpet when they finished.
Got the professional carpet cleaners in but the result was not so good with many of the stains remaining.

Then I .remembered the ad on TV promoting Preen Vanish as a carpet cleaner I sprinkled it all over the stains, then brushed it in as directed, left it overnight and hoovered a few times.the next day.

The result was extraordinary with all the stains completely gone. Sometimes when you see products advertised onTV and you take no notice but this time I did and. truly it is an excellent product and for me did the job 150 %.

I love this product. Have cream carpet and often gets spills - this works every time. Problem is i cant seem to find it in the supermarkets anymore. Ive tried so many others with disappointing results. Wont waste my money on anything else.

Dog vomited on cream carpet. The vomit was dark and speckled with obligatory carrots. Disposed of the bulk with paper towels but was left with an almost black stain. I thought a professional clean would be the only option. Bought some OxyAction for carpets and was blown away by the result. Within five minutes the stain had completely gone.

This would have been a five star review, but as another reviewer noted, the bottle was only 3/4 full, as were all the others on the shelf, thus the lower rating.

Had red wine stain which I left for a while. Applied one application on the carpet and it seems to take some of the stain off. However, I got really dizzy, felt sick and nausea from the fume! I think I'll have the leave the 2nd attempt to clean the stain to my husband. The bottle doesn't have any warning about the side effects.

What a mess we made of this. After an accident, I left some large blood stains on a wool carpet. Not having any Vanish on hand, tried everything else first, blotting the stains with cold water, wiping with laundry powder - this diluted the stains but only spread it over a larger area. Finally tried vanish. Took two applications and nearly all of the spray container but came up completely clean. What a relief!

I applied the Vainish Preen to remove some stains and it changed the color of the carpet, now I have dots in every part I applied the product and I do not know what to do apart from changing the whole carpet!! How they can make a product like this!!

After spilling red wine on my rental house carpet one, I first soaked up as much of the wine as I could and applied salt to the area, like many articles suggest. I was left with a huge now blue stain on my carpet. The next day I purchased this product from the supermarket as I couldn't find anything else and to my relief, the stain pretty much vanished in front of my eyes! Maybe this isn't the product for all over carpet cleaning. But it definitely did the job on my red wine stain.

After viewing your advertisement on television recommending the spray for heavy tread areas of carpet, I went off and bought a spray can to treat just the heavy walk areas. Unfortunately, where I had done a good clean-up of pet problems previously, when I looked behind me, that particular area bubbled up a brown foam, and consequently, my green carpet now has yellow blotches all over it. This means I will have to replace the whole carpet which, even thought it is twelve years old, would have given me quite a few years of service yet. I cannot therefore recommend your Vanish Preen to anyone. The $8 odd dollars I spent is now going to cost me the cost of recarpeting the lounge and hallway.
